The show is painfully boring and nothing exceptional or amazing. It stays afloat on /co/ because of the grand amount of material to sexualize. I cant remember what exactly came out this year but I feel the best cartoons around this time are Gumball, in terms of comedy and Clarence or Harvey Beaks in terms of how god damn comfortable and enjoyable they are. I've also watched Milo Murphy's Law and it retains that good quality of Phineas and Ferb without being a clone. Hell, as much as I hate TTGo I hear it's a legitimately good cartoon in its own right. There might br a few others I can't remember or have given a chance yet but yeah, Loud House really doesnt amount to them.

the show is designed around "sunday funnies" setup, where everyone starts out as stereotype to ensure that an audience can understand the character dynamics no matter what episode they watch. It's similar to an episodic series like say Gumball, but there will never be a change in the show that requires you to go back and watch previous episodes, since any information in a given situation is taken as a matter of fact instead of "you remember that one time - blah blah blah"

That being said, there is character developement, it's just not centered around changing a character and instead is to teach you new information about them. This can make Lincoln seem a bit like a Gary-Stu since he rarely suffers any consequence or is even in the wrong, but him being the audience surrogate and 4th wall breaker does mitigate this.

As for the episodes being stereotypical, yeah I can't argue with that, it's pretty much built into the show, the appeal is more how Lincoln gets from point a to point b, and the sisters also get episodes where they are fleshed out bit by bit, if you want more than that, hold your horses, this show is barely on its second season, even SU barely had any great episodes in season 1.

I would like to see more feels worthy episodes, however I also don't think the show will be steering in that direction anytime soon.

I think 30 minute episodes are more helpful to things with overarching stories. Steven Universe would benefit far more if they had longer episodes to pad things out, leaving the 15 minute ones for filler episodes.

With Loud House, where it's more episodic, I'm not sure how much difference it would make. It would probably just have more B-Plots rather than making the main plot more stretched out.

Revolving protagonist. It doesn't just need to be Lincoln episodes. While he can have the Lions Share of episodes, I think each of the sisters (Except maybe Lily) should get one episode where they are the narrator per season, with Lincoln just being in the crowd of siblings for that one.

The closest we've had is with Luna in the Talent Show episode, but Lincoln is still the one who relays the groups messages and is the only one who is good on his instrument.

It's probably not the way they intended the series to go on the original pitch, but based on the popularity of the sisters (Not just with shippers and porn artists, but just with the general fanbase) I suspect we'll see more sister episodes come Season 3.

Future-Worm! is alright. It's aesthetically pretty similar to Rick and Morty in both visuals and sci fi misadventures (TOO many RaM crew members worked on this show during the production break between Seasons 2 and 3). But it still has the same flaw that average kids shows tend to have: it focuses on trying to get too wacky and outlandish with its plots that its jokes tend to be pretty weak, and I'm not too fond of Fyootch himself. Danny's super cute and likable, though.

It's entertaining, but the three-segment anthology format it has makes each story feel too fast-paced, IMO.

All in all, it's pretty harmless. You either like it, or you easily ignore/forget about it. But I still have tons of hope in my heart that Ryan Quincy eventually gets to continue Out There. His style works best when it's toned down and has more of a slice of life approach. Maybe [adult swim] can pick it up in the near future...

Doug Douglas (the father) is definitely my favorite character.

To test the waters of how much hate a cartoon generates, you need to make a TLH thread on another board. A recent example I can name is the Loss TLH reference thing being brought up on /v/, people reacted positively to it since it was a background thing, not "focus the camera on it for 5 seconds while a character comments about it" like SU or Gumball wouldve done.
