You welcome anon.
End of chapter 4 and beginning of the last chapter.
The End.
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy it. Also there is a meaning to the name of the comic, from the authors comment page:
"A Quartz Bead" in the title is a phrase from Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere. There's a scene in the book, in which Richard faces a trial. He's trying to maintain his sanity despite the world trying to convince him he's insane. At a decisive moment he finds a quartz bead from a friend's necklace in his pocket- proof that his memories are real and not a product of an insane mind.
Since Raina and Don Quijote are connected by Raina's mental issues (Don Quijote "catches" her madness by devouring her shadow when she's a child), they are both a "quartz bead" for each other- being close maintains the bond, keeps Raina sane and Don Quijote mad (but it's the madness that created his knightly persona).
It seemed pretty cool to me when I was in high school and I guess it still does, in a way.
This was a treat Anon, thanks very much for storytiming it.
Very much enjoyed it.
