I like Brain Dump, but one of the latest episodes he did completely ignored what the video was supposed to be about and spent 80% of the video trying to push his stupid high pitched ghost character. Everyone in the comments was telling Max that it isn't funny at all. Hopefully he listens to them.

As another YT animator i myself need a good writer, but I guess the problem is in part the pay split. Animators on yt already get royally fucked, and what little $ we make would be stretched even further if a writer is hired. It's not like good writing is gonna increase the views sadly, it's all about riding the populer memes and making it good enough.

Him being offensive is what made his name and when he does it as a 'what if X was really X' then he's amazing but the problem is that he can't see that. Used to get money based on views. That meant 3 minute animations were profitable and a business model.

Now they get paid by the minute and the problem is that when you used to make 4 minute animations once a month that you can't really live off it.
