They added a shitty new villain whose only character is that she's evil and destroys things. Her only motivation is that she's evil and likes to destroy things. She's got a bunch of random magic powers and infinite robots and a giant ship that destroys planets almost effortlessly.

She ruined every episode she was in. Literally the only appeal to her character was that she had big boobs and hips.

Kinda, but none of the plots involving her DIRECTLY were interesting or funny in every way.

She makes Wander mindlessly want to ship her and Hater which is annoying.

The only thing she brought to the table was a lasting villain who was a real threat, which, while it WAS something new, could've been done INFINITELY better. She felt like the bare minimum of effort was put into her and was just a lame, edgy, "SO QUIRKY xD" villain that was only made to attract (more) waifufags to the show.

I missed WoY general.

What do you guys make of the reveal of the pirate ship in The Waste of Time being a major plot point of season 3? Other than not much, since the show is unfairly cancelled.

Every time I think of listening to a song from my fair hatey, I end up watching the entire thing.

I don't normally rewatch shit but goddamn, that episode should be double length so it could be a legit album and I'd listen to it all the time like doomstar requiem.

Dude, Domme was fucking awesome. Not because she was exceptionally bad or evil, although she definitely was both those things.

But because she just didn't give a fuck.

She wasn't destroying things because she was driven to, she wasn't compensating for anything, there was absolutely no moral message which is the only good thing about the show ending before the made her have one she was just having fun doing her thing.

Honestly, you could make the same criticisms about most incarnations of the Joker. Except she doesn't have the obsession with the main character that the Joker has with Batman.

It really made it feel like the world existed beyond just Wanders adventures. Like, people got other shit to do yo.

Her apathy and disengagement also provided a nice foil to Wanders overbearing nosyness and meddling, his inability to leave people alone, like him trying to ship her and Hater. Because he really thinks that they could be happy together.

She gave Wander a truly alien mentality to deal with, which he wasn't because he believes that he can be friends with everyone.

So glad they didn't have time to fuck that up about her.

So yeah. She wasn't the problem, the problem was that Wander just isn't able to change his viewpoint or accept that she is who she wants to be and that she has different values than him.

Honestly, that's a problem a lot of people have these days.

It's like, Hate shares a lot of the qualities of love. So someone who is bad for "reasons" can eventually be reformed. Someone who messes with the Protagonist because they hate them, or to prove something, or whatever - they can be talked around.

But someone who doesn't give a fuck, and isn't defined by their opposition to the Protagonist. Well. Not much to work with there.

Because she's a shit person as a character.

Much like bait is a fake meal, she was a fake best girl. Oh, she seems so cool in a manic Putin dream girl kind of way. She's a strongman leader who is confident and comfortable in herself, and does whatever she wants and has fun without worrying about anything.

She sucks the waifu-fags in because there's the assumption that the Villain, especially a hot female Villain, is going to get a redemption arc and be revealed to have a sensitive side that could totally be just for you if you just put in enough time and effort to show her that you really love her (if she was real)!

And over the season it's shown that she's actually pretty fucking horrible.

The dissonance between what Waifu fags wanted out of their 2D fantasies and the writers not giving it to them gives me schadenfreude.

I thought The Picnic was kind of meh, despite some moments. Then I downloaded The Greatest/The Egg and blew a sigh of relief. Craig was back. I wonder why they never aired The Greatest as the first episode, like it was intended. It gives a much better introduction to the show imo.
