What did you guys do? And can you do it again so we can get a new Spider-Man writer?
>>
>pro-Trump rhetoric

So he saw one guy go "Hey, Trump won, that's cool." and freaked out?

>>
Why would you think /co/ did anything? Anyone who actually cares about comics wouldn't be able to harass him because he has blocked all of us already by searching "Spider-Man run bad" and finding people who are critical of his writing.
>>
With any luck the next things he'll deactivate will be his heart and brain.
>>
>>87727770
All the normie shills are becoming Pro-Trump now that he's won so they can pretend that they've always been on the "winning side." Make no mistake, they're just Shillaryfags that are jumping ship. None of them were at the rallies. None of them wore the hats and the shirts. None of them participated in meme-magic.

Fuck these fake Trump fans.

In another 4 years you can.
>>
>people say things I strongly disagree with
>I have better things to do than argue with them
>I delete my account to remove temptation
>I might come back if I feel like it

He acted very reasonably if you ask me.
>>
>>87727950
There's nothing reasonable about having minimal control over your spaghetti pocket.
>>
>>87727984
Judging by his appearance, it's clear Slott has no self-control about anything. Quitting cold turkey is the only thing that'll work. Now he just needs to delete the google alerts he has set up for his name.
>>
Good. If you're that much of a pussy, you don't need to be on social media. Frankly, nobody does, social media is retarded, but better to quit than to sit and whine about it forever.
>>
>>87727984
I think it's perfectly reasonable to do what he did. It actually proves he can stop himself so I don't know where you're coming from.

I think it's good but you have to treat it like an RSS feed. Only follow things like sports writers where having time sensitive information is more crucial. You don't need it for comics though outside of passing along a solicit or preview link. People need to detach a little and not live on it.
>>
Good. Hopefully people will start quitting Facebook en mass too.

Waid is too busy right now using his privilege as a white male to make safe spaces at cons.
>>
>>87727767
More likely he called everyone worse than hitler and that all straight white males (sans Jews) needed to be put into gas chambers for letting Trump win. All whole being smug and sarcastic.

You gotta understand, this is Slott we're dealing with. His "trolls" may not of been innocent, but chances are Slott was neither.

The man has a history of dishing out bantz to people but not being able to take it himself.
>>
>>87727950
>He acted very reasonably if you ask me.
They're just buttmad that they can't troll people like him who take the high road (which, if they're being honest, is about 99% of the motivation /pol had for wanting the first Oompa Loompa In Chief).
>>
So what? Call me when Trump shit makes him quit writing.
>>
Big fucking baby. Im glad Trump won, he proved how petty and hypocritical the left is
>>
>>87727767
>>87728143
I'm a Jew who voted for Clinton and I still dislike Scott for the way he conducts himself on Social Media. Going out of his way to search for and find anyone critical or or shitting on the run of Spider-man he was handling and blocking them. He's an ass, and dare I say he is also a putz.

I admit I do not like some of his stuff, but he made the occasional good scene. His demeanor and attempt to manipulate discussion however is bullshit.

Fuck Dan Slott.
>>
>>87728108
>if you're not a straight white male, they don't care about you
Funny, because it was the opposite belief towards straight white males that liberals pushed that caused so many people to support Trump.

Seriously, when will SJWs and Liberals learn that GAS THE WHITES ain't gonna help make things better? That shaming them doesn't always work?
>>

The powers of the executive branch did expand big league under Bush and Obama. You can say goodbye to all of Obama's executive orders on day one.
Additionally, on the national level, the Democratic party is at the weakest it's been since 1938 and they can probably say hello to a Republican supermajority in the senate in 2018.

He also ran the bar, alchemize in Cincinnati that failed eventually, but any observer could see just how much Spencer put into his business. He also launched the Desdemona music festival in 2006, that was popular but ultimately too expensive. The website gone but there’s plenty of reference online.

Why do people even use twitter? I don't like facebook, but I understand the desire to see your friends' lives. Twitter just baffles me. There's nothing of substance there to be found.

Shit, I did a research project for my company to see if we could sell sentiment insights from tweets. I got access to the firehose and everything.

For every 1 post where someone expressed a positive or negative opinion there were a million that just read "doin X atm #meinirl #yolo #peoplecarewhatimdoing"

That's all of irrational hatred in a nutshell, from Racism to Racism.

A lot of the Left is very racist, just take voter ID laws-they would have you believe that Black people are too stupid and poor to go to the DMV and buy a 12 dollar state ID.

CNN ran an article this election cycle that said something akin to, "Trump tries to gain black voters, and then talks about no voting rights for felons" before noticing how racist it was and taking it down.

It's a very bizarre environment we live in where people don't find information for themselves, but believe whatever Facebook tells them.

That said, I felt this election was a lose/lose, but at the very least Trump is entertaining on multiple levels. Not an endorsement.
>>87732425
Because it took taking your "social relevance" of other Social media. Then made it so you'd update it even more than that shit. Now it's become facet of people's social lives. Which is why cyberbullying was able to become an actual issue because we allowed social media to become that big a part of our lives that it can actually be affected by idiots doing shit online.

It's bullshit. Bannon is a fairly typical rightwinger of the anti-Neocon school.
They've tried calling him an anti-semite too, based on his wife's testimony during their divorce proceedings (i.e. most sane people don't take it seriously for a second), and even then if we were to take it seriously it's a fairly innocuous comment, tldr: the claim is he didn't want his daughters to go to a jewish school because jewish daughters are raised to be too whiny. (nevermind that basically half of his workforce is jewish and that even people like Shapiro, who absolutely hate the man, aren't agreeing with the claim)

Here he lays out some of his actual views: https://www.buzzfeed.com/lesterfeder/this-is-how-steve-bannon-sees-the-entire-world?utm_term=.sqO1mMqLw

It's impossible to get legislation to work with you when a bunch of children stop you at every turn. The republican party has been worse now than it's ever been in years. Vetoing everything regardless of principles. The fact that it's been 9 months NINE FUCKING MONTHS, since scalia died and we still don't have his replacements all because republicans would rather fuck over the justice system than properly have someone who doesn't agree with them.

Were in several conflicts in the middle east under his (and secretary Clinton) watch. Libya is now a constant destabilizing war zone and the people wish Kadifi was still alive since he kept the radicals in check. Syria is a mess and the Islamic State is out of control.

They backed the Muslim Brotherhood takeover in Egypt which then had to be thwarted by the Egyptian Military after the brotherhood kept murdering the protesters that had started that revolution.

Has been a asshole to President Sisi of Egypt, Putin, and the King of Jordan while backing the Prime Minister of Turkey whose quickly turning Turkey from a secular nation into a Islamic dictatorship.

And that isn't even addressing the money sent to Iran while they routinely kill anyone from the opposition parties or his damage to race relations on a domestic level.

Obama has been a terrible leader.

He would cause a civil war that would make the last one look like it was a civilized disagreement. I live in New Jersey.
In New Jersey there's Atlantic City, which was where all our csinos and stuff went. Atlantic City wasn't doing so well, and here comes Trump.
He says he's going to build a great, huge casino. It's going to bring back jobs. It's going to revitalize the local ecoonmy. All good things. He gets loans and public funds to build his grand casino that's going to save everything and make AC great again.

And the thing goes bankrupt. It's his most famous failure by far, if only because of the fact that it's a goddamn casino; they're so no lose for investors that it'd have been more believable if it were used as a money laundering scheme. For the longest time this failure was the number one joke associated with the Trump name. In fact, I'm pretty sure they even loosely based a Batman TAS episode on it.

Trump declared bankruptcy and kept on trucking. But Atlantic City? Never really recovered from that. Never saw any of the dividends Trump promised would show up. In fact the city is so fucked up now and so behind on its bills that the very conservative "government shouldn't hand out or be involved at all" legislature has been going "okay we need to step in and save this county".

So yeah, I'm gonna sit back and wait because he just did the casino pitch for the entire country and history loves to repeat itself.

And yeah, same as Bush and Reagan, he's a fucking clown whose antics can and will distract everyone from the actually vile shit that gets done on his watch (to some degree he already has, if a fucking conservative establishment ghoul like Pence as VP doesn't raise a storm of objections from either side). Republicans have this shit down to a science now.

>>87732423

Trump doesn't support segregation. He's not advocating Blacks forming their own exclusive communities, separated from the majority of the population, that Asians should have their own piece of America solely for their benefit, nor is he proposing reserves for the other ethnic minorities. As for deportation, you do realize he isn't deporting legal immigrants, right? He wants the illegal aliens deported, but is perfectly supportive of legal immigrants. In fact, I don't even recall him even limiting the number of immigrants entering this country on a annual basis.

Honestly Hitler was a pretty good leader aside from all of the war and murder. He took Germany out of one of the worst depressions ever seen by any country because he reorganized the entire monetary structure. Most of his policies were aimed directly at improving the lives of ordinary nonjewish Germans. He was a monster to the Jews but it's very clear he did indeed care very deeply for the German people as a whole. If WW2 and the final solution hadn't happened he'd probably be remembered as one of the greatest leaders of all time.

Kind of like how manufacturing jobs are in decline down because it's too expensive here and robots/sweat shops are cheaper? Or how the dust belt's mining jobs were never going to be a long term industry since once a well is tapped out, that's it?

I agree. The problems are endemic and a bunch of "fuck Mexico and China" isn't gonna fix them. Immigration reform isn't gonna fix it when the jobs were leaving rather than being stolen. This right here is pretty much exactly why the dems lost this election. Where it really counted people felt like the Democrats were fucking useless and to be fair they aren't wrong. No matter how many D's they field in both houses they still blame the Republicans for their ineffectualness. People voted for the Democrats back in 2008 because they strongly disagreed with Bush policies and wanted a better economy. The Democrats just decided they liked the power better in their hands and didn't hardly do shit to unfuck the economy. All the while it was the Republicans fault. If anything I hope this loss helps the Democrats unfuck themselves because no matterh how much gets handed to them on a platter they still apparently can't get shit done.

>>
>>87733337
>what does that have to do with the fact AC wanted to base its local economy off one thing?
It's similar to other cities.
Detroit, for example, put all their eggs into the auto industry basket. Pittsburgh for steel. When those industries move or die or transform, they people lose their jobs. This was the base that won Trump the election. (And rightly so, because he at least paid them lip-service even if I don't believe for a second he can deliver a goddamn thing)

But rather than diversifying their industries it's easier to just > and blame niggers.

Here's the thing. I get how taxing foreign imports may, theoretically, help local businesses, but what exactly is the definition of imports? How do you handle someone like Apple that's nominally a US company but the vast majority of production is outside of the US?

Nah, Hitler was terrible. He took Germany out of the depression by starting a massive rearmament program which meant they would either go to war soon or face an even worse economic collapse. Hitler's economic plan basically made WW2 inevitable.

He wasn't that great towards Germans either. Few people remember that a fucking lot of Germans ended up in the gas chambers as well, for crimes of being mentally ill, gay, or having some sort of perceived genetic defect.

He also never actually made the trains run on time.

>Detroit, for example, put all their eggs into the auto industry basket. Pittsburgh for steel
the thing is you make it sound like both industries are bound to die off

Casinos have the stereotype of making money on their own which is false , the house has to win in order to survive another day.

Steel has been around for thousands of years , the industry involving steel for hundreds . It may have peaked in the early 1900s but it is very much a live business and a respectable one at that.

US steel industries have gotten smaller due to factories moving over to other countries not because those countries are more luxurious but because we love to tax the crap out of business owner because some bought off politicians like to pass bills doing
>This was the base that won Trump the election

He ran on many things but he is right on jobs , they can come back

they left in the 70s , they came back in the 80s
left in the late 90s up to early 2010s where some factories started to reopen or come back .

These jobs absolutely can come back all it takes is a big FUCK YOU to china and the politicians that passed bills that made it harder for the workers and the owners

I don't think they're going to die off, I think they're going to die off in those areas. I think that it makes business sense to make your product where labor is cheap. Labor isn't cheap in the US. It's never going to be cheap in the US because the cost of living is too high.

Why make steel here when it's cheaper to make in Mexico? Why run your coal mine if natural gas is more cost effective? Even if we get rid of things like minimum wage or OSHA, all that nasty government meddling that insures you have recourse if you get miners lung, there's no real reason to pass those savings onto the consumer. What happened in Kansas last year was proof of that, and no, "they just didn't do it hard enough" doesn't make the underlying idea a good one
