Just make Korra asexual and you've fixed most of the problems people have with the series.
Book 1 is no longer plagued with shitty clichéd romance between Korra and Mako. No love triangle bullshit between Korra, Mako, and Asami.
The love triangle bullshit in Book 2 is also removed. No forced drama between Korra and Mako where the two wind up arguing for no real reason other than to break them up.
No Korrasami out of nowhere in Book 4.
And with less shipping, they can focus more on making the series good. There is no saving Season 2, but at least the series is slightly better now.
Fuck, just make everyone asexual. There wasn't a single single good pairing in all of Korra aside from Tenzin and Pema. Everything else was shit.

Also, you would need way more than this to fix itens, you have a very surface understanding of characterization and good plot progression. Removing shippingshit would HELP to avoid mistakes, but doesn't mean that it would be exchanged by something good. Thinking that you suddenly alone had a realization on how to fix it, just by making her asexual, is cute.

Too tough. Book 2 sucks too much to fix it without completely rewriting it. If it helps, you can make Book 1 better by not having the equalists just give up and vanish once Amon gets exposed as a bender.

What should have happened is that Bolin should have hooked up with Asami after Mako was dick yet again and dumped her for Korra.
Fuck Mako, he learnt his place in seasons 3 and 4.

What happened with them made sense, in fighting caused them to split into small enemy groups.
Its one of the only things that actually worked. The best that a sane people could do is elect a representant, which benders and non benders did.
