Then about a year later Stokke was in the middle of a little controversy over clickbait sites using her image with "You won't believe what the cameraman saw next" shit. A lot of the cast was good characters, Mako, Bolin and Asami were the worst. Korra was pretty good herself.

On the Villain's side Tarrlok was the best, the Red Lotus was great until their endgame was revealed, so was Kuvira for the same reason. Hell, so was Amon. The B2 villain sucked from the getgo, his kids were a little 1 dimensional, but they were alright. Funny.

I don't know why people make such a big fuss about that. The whole point was to show it wasn't just a physical block but a mental block as well. Byrke were not subtle at all about the PTSD thing and people still didn't get it.

The whole point of her getting the poison out and traveling for so long would be to show that she's okay physically but has hangups mentally. Which is where seeing her Avatar-state poisoned induced face where Kuvira's face would be. Don't just have it at the end then, show it throughout the fight not just at the end. She should be better physically since the Red Lotus were out of practice for 14 years and didn't have trouble walking or existing despite being in prisons that would leave them in just as worse shape as Korra was physically.

Or better yet, just write better so you don't have the final season of your character be her at her lowest point yet again still not understanding how the world works nor having her own positive mindset to keep and hold.

The Red Lotus had loads of potential as villains but it kept getting squandered.

They reveal Aiwei as a member of the Red Lotus very early on, setting up for the RL to be this kind of crazy, spooky, Hydra-like organization with agents everywhere, then NOPE - TURNS OUT HE WAS THE ONLY ONE.

They start building up the organization's goals as some kind of antithesis to the White Lotus, wanting to restore the balance in their own way, then NOPE - WE WANT, LIKE, ANARCHY MAN! KILL THE AVATAR AND JUNK, YO!

That's LoK in a nutshell.

The entire season had just as much potential as ATLA, but lacked the most important element that it's predecessor had going for it - PLANNING

When they made ATLA the producers knew exactly what they were getting and exactly what they had to work with, and so the entire thing was very carefully planned out. Every character arc, every plot thread was well thought out and integrated to create a masterpiece.

LoK didn't have that going for it. The series was originally only greenlit as a single season mini-series, then they got a second season that caught them off guard and they had no fucking idea what to do with it, then they got two more seasons confirmed. The last two seasons were definitely more planned and thought through than the first two and it absolutely shows... but it wasn't enough to fix the flaws that were already present, or integrate the later seasons with the earlier ones in a smoother way.

As for plots, there where many unresolved possible plots to choose from every season, but very rarely where they picked up. Like the spirits in book 2, why not focus on that in book 3? or the Red Lotus, we see that they have minions but they just disappear immediately?
