Good lord, this fucking amount of CGI.
That movie about a magic frog who's a secret agent.
I swear I remember seeing it as a child, probably on Disney Channel. But sometimes I think it might just be a fever dream.
Did somebody say obscure?
I swear to god they cursed on this show. I really need to track down the pilot because I know they said stuff like "bitch" and "lets kick ass" then it went to Nickelodeon.
Somebody has to remember this shit.

>>87716792
So wait, is this a cartoon or an anime?
It ain't american, that's for sure, but there seems to be both Dutch and Japanese names in the credits.
I rented this cartoon VHS in the early 90s that I wish I knew the name of. It was an animated show about talking animals in the same style as Bojack Horseman where they're humans but with animal heads (there may or may not have been actual humans).
The episode in particular was a Christmas one. The lead character, a dog, was anxious about visiting his family because his dad was upset that his son was in a garage band or something. The only scene I strongly remember had the dog hanging upside down for some reason and a girl walks up to him like "WTF are you doing the blood will rush to your head and you'll die!"
Watched it around the same time as Capitol Critters to give you a time frame.
>>87717502
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfred_J._Kwak
As you can see, it was a co-production between several different countries. The creator of the show is Dutch though.
>>87716922
Fuck, my first childhood crush.
She had a deep, husky, feminine voice that could send shivers down your cock, and some badass whip skills that could put a Belmont to shame.

How about Generation O? B.R.A.T.S. of the Lost Nebula? Phantom Investigators?
>>87717754
That goth girl was unreasonably attractive for a child.
Goth girls are unreasonably attractive.
Too bad the goth style is always paired with a history of abuse, deviant pain-centric fetishes, mental instability, self-harm, whatever the latest alternative sexuality of the month is, substance abuse, or any combination of the above IRL.
And so the animated goth girl remains supreme. All the dark, sexy, iconic style with none of the fucked-up issues.
That CGI show that it was basically an ATLA rip-off, I forgot the name

Personally, I just viewed it like I viewed the Slimer-centric season of the Real Ghostbusters; as it's own continuity.

Plinkett? You're looking a little more animated than usual there, and not in a good way.
Okay, here's a challenge for you /co/. I remember this cartoon which is pretty damn elusive in the late 90s-early 2000s. I don't remember the title, but it's pretty much one of those strange school cartoons where the school occasionally turns into something else, I dunno. The only characters I remembered in that particular cartoon is some guy who reminds me of the Hamburglar named "Phantom" who lurks within the school, and the principal is an anthropomorphic rhino in human clothing (I think he's wearing a red tie). I think some other characters are humans & teachers are anthros. Plus, I think it's made in Canada.

I fucking love 80's themes
I don't know what counts as far as cartoons. But I definitely came across this in the US. It was on a Christian channel called PAX tv that we would sometimes watch bc no cable so we only had like 12 channels max.
ANYWAY, it was about all these kids and a professor maybe ? time traveling exclusively back to Jesus' time and essentially participating in all these Bible stories including talking to Jesus and co. I distinctly remember one where Jesus casts a demon out of some girl and it was scary. I think that's obscure as hell.

as far as disney goes, Eisner seemed to know what he was doing in the 90's, and Roy Disney was still vice chair, and was basically the head of the Animation department.
Since then, Eisner also turned the company into what Roy described as a "rapacious, soul-less" company, and since Eisner left in 2005, it's clear Iger is just as much a jew as Eisner, and also doesnt have any sort of vision.
for Capcom, It's the same general problem, retarded management.
I would argue that the death of arcades was a big factor, since Capcom was pretty big there. Then the failure to adapt megaman to 3D with any successful formula, and the pushing out of a lot of their talent. (yes, that includes Inafune)

This and also how they treated good and evil in the show. Or more specifically how it didn't really exist. The conflict between tribes came from each of them fighting for their own self interest instead of because "dis tribe good dis tribe bad" which made the conflict realistic and the politics between tribes pretty cool.
Plus each of the four main human characters each preferring a different tribe and having friends from the tribe they used in Chaotic made sure we saw each conflict from all perspectives.

>When The Wind Blows
This one fucked me up when I first saw it. The animation on top of a live action background was uncanny valley to me andthe nuclear attack scene and everything after itaffected me the same way Threads(a live action movie with pretty much the same premise) did. One of my favorites though. Oh also
>Genesis, David Bowie, and Roger Waters from Pink Floyd doing the soundtrack
>first image results for "bamboo bears" is a bunch of fetish shit
Feels bad man

Yup. Good ol Nelvana. Sadly, it only covered 3 books: Redwall, Mattimeo, and Martin The Warrior.
Don't tell me you guys never saw Happy Ness...

Oh mother of fuck, I more or less completely forgot about this. Wouldn't be surprised if it was meant to shill a line of toys, but then again, what Saturday morning show wasn't trying to sell their stuff?

That we can all ignite
And all that's dark inside us
Will flicker into light~
Dude, I used to watch this ALL the time growing up. It's a comfy movie.

Holy FUCK. Talk about nostalgia; IIRC the two flies were the only two in town that didn't speak a lick of proper spanish, and the two ant MC's were like Morticia and Gomez, minus the macabre interests.
I might need to rewatch this one. Good times.
