Pretty sure the Worldbuilding Wednesday gave us the reason why the cutie can use magic.

Also looks like Lila is gonna pay Renard a visit, not sure how that meeting is gonna go down, especially since one of them is delirious 99% of the time.

Honestly I think you guys are overthinking it. The big reveal here isn't that everything is upside down, but rather that this opossum servant is doing things that would require the use of magic to do so. With the WorldBuilding Wednesday post explaining that the reason why oppossums like Poppy and Lily have the anti-magic effect is because the little atenna in their brain that connects to their tree of life gets it's signal corrupted due to Flora and Fauna being inside Didelphi's pouch and the barrier fucks things up. It is trying to reach some location, weather it be the rest of the opossum tree of life or Didelphi herself that is on the outside of the pouch.

If the Veil was outside of Didelphi's pouch, which I think is true because if Silvana created it, only a master of space would be able to cross the barrier and it sure isn't on Flora and I doubt having it be on Fauna would be that secretive due to all the space rabbits, this opossum would be able to have no difficulties connecting to the their part of the Tree of Life and thus get magical abilities.

I wonder how these opossums see their brothers and sisters down on Flora. They have to know that many of them are being killed on sight or enslaved. The secrecy of the Veil might make it so they can't interfere. Would be cute if they saw people like Kit who are trying to help opossums and were massive fans of her.

In addition if these opossums are the only ones that have magic with no side effects, then gambas are pretty much fucked with their part of the tree being on the inside of the pouch, making it so they can never have the full magical experience. Neither full or none, just a strange mix of each. Might give new meaning to Lila teasing him about being a shorty poss.

To me it looks like Morbi has this idea, that unpredictable = good. That's why he spits out those "carefully-worded-half-truths" or whatever he calls them and jokes/April fools that turn out to be truth later on.

How can one make something illogical in his own webcomic, unless he does that on purpose? I mean when something is CLEARLY doesn't fit/makes sense and author just leaves it there?
Also, i think leaving clues for readers, so they can pick them up and figure out what's going to happen next, makes reading a rewarding experience. Even if you guessed the next big twist, based on the logical chain of clues, it's still a mystery until revealed.
Key which Poda stole from Kit + it's a Veil key + symbol on key is the same one as on Mary's church + Mary has a keyhole on the back of her neck = Mary is AT LEAST related to the Veil or Mary is Madama Silvana. Makes sense right?
