If there's not ELEKTRA on top, i wouldn't even know this is Elektra. Why is her hair on a ponytail?
>>

>wrong costume

This is fucking disgusting
>>
>>87626739
Yeah, Kingpin has me really excited. I liked the Kingpin mini that the writer just did. Bullseye might be cool too.

This though. I mean, it'd be nice if it turns out good, but no one has done anything interesting with Elektra since Miller and the redesign is extremely lazy. If you're going to do a synergy-based redesign, at least give it some unique elements since you're working with comics instead of live-action and can afford to get a bit unpractical.

I've never heard of the writer though so I've got nothing to go off of for determining quality. Has anyone read any of his books? Is this his first comic?

>Copying the Netflix costume

On the scale of Creative Bankruptcy ranging from 1 to 10, you've hit a solid Bob Kane.
>>
>>87626564
Why?
>>
Not even posting THE PLOT:
>"When we find Elektra in this story she is trying to hide in plain sight. She’s running. From everything," said Owens. "Vegas is a place that is extremely unfamiliar to her so that makes it perfect for her to hide out. But much like New York, Vegas has a dark side. And Elektra may not be able to stay out of trouble for long."

Elektra comes to Sin City and into the crosshairs of Avengers Arena villain Arcade.

"I love Arcade! He is so kooky. But at the same time he is not someone to be underestimated. He’s a brilliant inventor and a sadistic killer. He’s incredibly dangerous. It’s a different kind of threat for Elektra," said the writer. "As far as his interest in Elektra, she is one of the most formidable killers in the Marvel Universe. She fits perfectly into the new game he has constructed. So when she comes on his radar he simply can’t resist!"

That sounds like a book that doesn't have much of a hook.

Always have a soft spot for Elektra because the Miller/Varley Elektra stuff is probably their best work, artistically, and I've never forgotten it for as long as I've comicked. And also, I feel the Kingpin-ish Marvel push is a lot more solid than the current Deadpool-ish one. But if you make a book with no clear hook, and not much going on, and decompressed....
>>

M-maybe it will be a good 10 issue run though.

People might bitch out DC's writer/artist outreach for mainly hiring established comics, TV and book guys but there's something to be said for actually putting them through a program to learn how to do comics before having them write your comics.

Then again, can you imagine Bendis being your comics-writing mentor?

Snyder got us the likes of Benett. I can't even imagine what Bendis would produce.

Although Marvel does sometimes do a similar thing with having new writers "co-write" a comic which actually means writing the comic but having an established writer's name on it and them helping make sure it's up to the "marvel standard" or what have you.

Fraction did it under Brubaker. Hickman did it under Bendis. Spencer did it under Hickman. CM Punk did it under Bunn.

PKD himself:
>"Several years ago, when I was ill, Heinlein offered his help, anything he could do, and we had never met; he would phone me to cheer me up and see how I was doing. He wanted to buy me an electric typewriter, God bless him—one of the few true gentlemen in this world. I don't agree with any ideas he puts forth in his writing, but that is neither here nor there. One time when I owed the IRS a lot of money and couldn't raise it, Heinlein loaned the money to me. I think a great deal of him and his wife; I dedicated a book to them in appreciation. Robert Heinlein is a fine-looking man, very impressive and very military in stance; you can tell he has a military background, even to the haircut. He knows I'm a flipped-out freak and still he helped me and my wife when we were in trouble. That is the best in humanity, there; that is who and what I love."
