IIRC Ian said in an interview that they didn't want the show to go on forever and they did have a concrete plan for how to finish the plot. I think he said the idea is that if they have to do nothing but focus on it they could get everything they had planned done in roughly a season and a half, and if they get optioned for more then they'll stretch it out.

So surely the plot would advance, if Cartoon Network actually bothered to air the thing.

I'm more shocked that we haven't had any leaks though. Whether an actual leaker, or lack of communication and incompetence among foreign affiliates, we've had leaks in every hiatus so far.

I don't know what to make of this episode, it'll sure be something.
