Till I get bored or the thread dies.
Upset about muh JSA threads desu
If you're reading, talk and bump.

What happened?
I actually got to interview Mike Baron once. Very chill guy.
>>87608822
Indefinite hiatus.
>>87608869
I imagine he would be a cool guy. Badger and Nexus are two of my favorite comics. Tell us some more about it if you like.
And I'm an idiot who feels bad when anonymous strangers I don't know are in a bad place and I can't do anything for them.
[extremely JSA voice] I don't even have any booze in the house.
>>87608694
Today OP was not a Larry.
>>87608927
We're all Larry, Larry.
>>87609026
Thanks for posting an image in the fucking storytime, dude.
>>87609048
It's completely fine. We'll end on the issue before the image limit or move to another one anyway.
Plus I asked and I take it that's the name of the podcast.
>>87609048
You're right, that's not cool. I'll get rid of it and post the original response below:
I co-host a podcast about the Punisher, and we invited him on. He was one of our first interviews so I was nervous. But he was very open in talking about his early years at Marvel and as a comic writer in general.
I also remember him saying that he wrote the Punisher as a clear sociopath. To Baron, it was the only way Frank Castle could make sense as a character. He said that Frank of course would not harm civilians, but he also would not go out of his way to save them. I'm butchering his viewpoint here, but he made it clear he wasn't saying Frank was a psycho or got off on killing either.
>>87609026
I do sometimes wish he hung around on more Marvel/DC stuff. I haven't actually read his Punisher, how is it?
>>87609081
Thanks, I thought you were just being inconsiderate. Sorry, I'm a bit on edge today.
>>87609102
Embrace your inner Jake Gallows.
>>87609081
Is this the podcast, yeah?

>>87609099
He wrote them like Executioner novels, if that reference makes sense (Executioner was the original fictional vigilante that the Punisher was almost a carbon copy of).
The stories move at a good clip, but they are straightforward "man-on-a-mission" tales. The intrigue, military/gun knowledge, and violence was on point for it's time, but the dialogue itself could be a bit dry. Once again, Baron was working off the Executioner style of storytelling.
>>87609123
I should probably abandon social media for a good while.
>>87609175
Ugh, yeah. It is. Fuck, I forgot how bad the audio was back then. Plus I was a tryhard on the mic, so I apologize in advance. I'm proud to have had Mike on the show but the early episodes are tough to re-listen to.
>>87609182
Or go full Public Enemy.
>>87609213
I think it's super cool you had him on the show. I'm listening to something else right now but I'll bookmark it and check it out later.
The Executioner novels aren't really familiar to me but I think I get what you mean.
>>87609240
>You stewbum.
My sides. What decade does this take place in?
>>87609267
It was published in the 80s, but Mike Baron's mind isn't much bound by time.
Onwards
bumpo
Fucking wizards. No sense of right and wrong.
>>87609507
Ham is That Guy.
>>87609565
I mean, they just have to sail SOME wizards with those dudes. Just in fucking case. Or use a better locks on their sarcophagus or some shit.
Thank you larry
Man, Wisconsin must be a shitty place to live - it's a place of exile from wizards to fallen angels.
>>87609675
NP Larrry
Literally the best series ever.
>>87609748
But if the interesting stuff gets exiled there...
I'm gonna grab something to eat. Will continue shortly.
Best comic ever.
Alright, let's keep rolling.
What is the image limit on threads now?
>>87610674
Same as always, 250.
>>87610712
>Same as always
Do I get to call you a newfag now?
But that's fine, we shouldn't run into any problems.
>>87610755
You know what I mean, same as it has been for a while.
>>87610817
I haven't storytimed anything in a long time.
I'm starting to flag so just one more.
A heap of broken images, where the sun beats, and the dead tree gives no shelter, the cricket no relief, and the dry stone no sound of water.
Reading bump
>>87611849
I think when I left to get food my IP flipped over, so no bumps necessary now.
>>87611911
Understood
How long is this series anyway?
>>87611950
70-ish issues? There are some specials too. But this is my last one tonight.
>>87611973
Yeah, I get it. It sucks when no one posts anything during a storytime, makes it really draining. I recommend listening to music, it has helped me before
>>87611996
Yeah I've got some tunes on, old Brit indie:

It's mainly the time now for me. It used to be you could bang out 6 issues pretty quick, but the delay now means you're always in for a long haul if you're passless. If there's no chat it's pretty wearing.
Goodnight! More later? Sometime??
Dream softly of wizards and animals /co/.
>>87608694
hey, mr immortal got his own comic
>>87608869
Very nice. What was the interview for?
Also here's my bump, OP, thanks for the storytime.
Thank you
