Green Goblin is a bigger threat to Spider-Man himself, but Hobgoblin is way more fun to read and a better written character.

I liked the whole Hobgoblin look better, a guy chucking pumpkin bombs wearing a orange suit is more threatening to me than a goblin in purple. Green goblin is the superior enemy tho. Basically Hobgoblin for the look but I'd much rather fight Hobgoblin than Norman.

Yeah, when they finally revealed who he really was. He was in jail for a while but then got out when he threatened to expose Norman Osborn as the Green Goblin during one of Osborn's "I was never the Green Goblin spider-man faked the whole thing" stints back in like 1996/7.

Osborn broke him out, shenanigans ensued, Kingsley slipped away to hide on a topical island and then "came back" during Big Time.
