I both agree and disagree.

On the one hand, superheros actually saving people is something I desperetly want to see more of. They can do more than bunch badguys, hollywood!

At the same time, Quicksilvers mansion scene felt like it was only there because the 'time in a bottle' scene from DoFP was so popular. So they did that, but bigger. Which is fine in a vacuum, but the fact that they made sure you knew this amazing feat wasn't even difficult for him sort of creates a massive problem for the rest of the script:

Sure, Quicksilver can't defeat Apocalypse. He isn't strong enough to do more than temporarily wound him. But he could KO the other four horseman in the time that it takes most people to blink.

I know why they don't have him do that. That would be kind of a shitty movie. But the fact that they have established that he would be able to do that cheapens everything that comes after it because you know Quicksilver could solve this problem if he was allowed to.

Its the same reason he was written out of the later acts of DoFP: he invalidates the rest of the plot if you let him do anything.
