ITT 10/10 comic book movie adaptations
The catch? No Marvel/DC characters
Why do so many people want to talk about movies on a comic/cartoon board?

Because /tv/ is shit.

That's definitely at the top of the list with a bullet. Everything about that movie just oozes effort and quality.
Pic related was arguably better than the comics.
I love the Hellboy movies, moreso the second because I'm a sucker for fantasy.

My only problem with it is how little the turtles interact with Shredder. They don't even know he exists until the final battle, and then Splinter disposes of him pretty quickly.
I'll catch shit for this, but I don't care. I love this film.
This is honestly better than the book.

>10/10 adaptations
>the entire end was rewritten for the movie

All are Vertigo titles which are technically DC but-
>>87531095
forgot goddamn pic
What, no 300?
>>87531005
>87531005
Yeah because the ending to the comic is unfilmable. Making Dr. Manhattan an enemy against humanity in the eyes of the public makes so much more sense than a genetically engineered alien squid monster. There are some things that work great in comics but simply cannot work on screen.
>OP says 10/10 adaptations
>All these mediocre films
>No mention of Sin City
>>87531051
heavy metal 2000 is garbage compared to the original
>>87531225
No doubt, but it's still a solid adaptation of the comic.
What else is there? Road to Perdition, From Hell, Mystery Men, LoEG, Hellboy, KA... None of those were 10/10.
What if it's a terrible adaptation but a fun as fuck movie?
>>87531306
Hell yeah.
Is this still considered a controversial opinion?
>>87530972
Watchmen are in the DC cape universe now, they no longer qualify.
Was a 6/10 movie being generous in any case.
>>87531184
such a good film honestly
>>87531335
People didn't like the movie?
>>87531573
The book was better.

The only motherfucking objectively correct answer in this whole thread.
