ASS suggests that when the world was in trouble there was no other super-heroes. I can see how 16 years later that Clark has passes and his adopted son Chris is Superman but I've always assumed that Chris was the same one from Final Crisis. Batman would have died at about late 40 max, given Jimmy, Lois and presumably Clark's age as shown in ASS for Damian to be an adult.
