eh. Forces of Corruption at least fleshes things out a bit more but the gameplay is still incredibly bland.

It's just rock paper scissors. They took out as many challenging aspects of RTS as they could to make it more approachable.

ie why is space on a fucking 2d plane? why are there so few units with only one per type? why do we have space stations in static locations? It was totally unimaginative, just the regular ground RTS but with space colours. They completely missed the opportunity.

>>87490915
Well at the time I was playing actual, good Star Wars space RTS games with 3 dimensions, a hundred times as many units and a hundred times more accuracy and detail on each individual unit.
Also, massively longer range. Why are the ranges in EaW so unrealistically short?

>>
>>87491092
I mean shit, even the scale is so ludicrously different. See: https://youtu.be/kt8sVcGttoc?t=3m36s

And why limit the camera to that same stupid top-down view? I want to be able to have dozens of capital ships engaged and then select a single individual fighter in the midst and watch the chaos unravel from that one ship's perspective as it meanouvers the battlefield in 3 dimensions.
>>

>I was playing actual, good Star Wars space RTS games with 3 dimensions, a hundred times as many units and a hundred times more accuracy and detail on each individual unit.

>>
>>87491098
AT-ST is bigger and has more guns

Also the seats are probably more comfortable
>>
>>87491216
I mean, the AT-DP is used well into TFA. if you got the AT-ST, what's the purpose for keeping it around? Low-level patrol ops?
>>

>>
>>87489703
Should've made Sabine the muscle instead of Zeb, then she could've at least had more opprotunities to be violent. Zeb could've been more of a brainy character if that were the case, but that would change up what little character he has as a Lasat Honor-Guard

>Sabine will never be a 7ft blood thirsty amazon who taunts Ezra as "little jedi boy"
It hurts

>>87490180
They really weren't very super. Protectors weren't super either. Five jackasses show up and they apparently couldn't do shit? Mandos are overhyped. Better than the alternative, I guess

>>87491238

>>87491238
>what's the purpose for keeping it around?
What's the purpose of keeping any kind of slight design change per vehicle when you have another one around? Why use AT-ATs when you have the AT-ACT? FO TIE Fighters when you have the FO Special Ops TIE Fighters with shields and hyperdrives? They all serve some kind of purpose even if a slight modification can do it better.
>>
>>87491238
>Low-level patrol ops?
Basically. AT-DP is smaller and probably less expensive to operate. If you need something with more muscle, then you bring in an AT-ST.

my head canon says the AT-DP was an older model of walker from the clone wars designed for combat in mountainous terrain and was subsequently used as a patrol vehicle on garrison worlds, while well armored compared to the newer AT-ST it was too cumbersome and slow to adequately fight in urban zones. Idk in rebels I get the impression these things were just meant to patrol and guard space ports.

Anyone else like that Qui-gon's story is getting a lot more padding out in the new canon? I actually like that he seems to have known more then he told Obi-wan and there were more larger events unfolding then just the discovery of Anakin and the rising influence of the Sith in the senate. Part of me thinks he knew about what Dooku was planning with the clones or was even asked by Dooku himself to join with him, but out of mutual respect both didn't decide to off each-other.
>>
>>87492215
if only there were hints about it in Episode I
>>
>>87492290
Seriously, in watching the Clone Wars its been a massive drag seeing all of these cool backstories and lore being explored and then it being all for not when it comes to the movies. Part of me wants ROTS reshot in the Clone Wars style and a better narrative then what we got.
>>
>>87492215
I think he and Dooku both came to similar conclusions- the Sith are still alive but in hiding, and there's something going on in the senate beyond just corruption- but disagreed on what to do about it. Dooku probably went hunting for the Sith (at which point Sidious decided to show himself to him and talk him into working with him instead), while Qui-Gon probably felt the Force would lead him to an answer.
>>
>>87492417
Yeah I always figured Jinn and Dooku had a mutual respect for one another (at least until the end, when Dooku was convinced of how far the Sith's influence really had on the senate)

>>
>>87493374
Well i've never seen Ezra as the "good guy" protagonist, like Luke. In Rebels, that'd be Kanan.

Ezra is harder to judge, he can be good but he's kind of a shithead, and we could very well turn to the dark side.
He reminds me a lot of Anakin
I don't like him a lot 2bh, and for a long time i thought he was the least interesting character of the crew, which is pretty sad since he's supposedly the main character, but i find him more interesting since S3

More toys. I absolutely hate the "they did it to sell more toys!" explanation because it often doesn't hold up (Ezra's slingshot, for example) but Threepio did get quite a bit of red arm merchandise. His first Black Series figure is the red arm version, with a regular gold arm version being a store exclusive, for example.

It's also notable because Threepio usually doesn't get that much merchandise, and when he does it's usually paired with Artoo (who hasn't gotten a lot of TFA-related merchandise).

Didn't you know he's space legal? That's old enough to not be able to vote because the Empire doesn't allow that sort of shenanigans.

Seriously, though, did you just fucking excuse him for namedropping people who have helped them before because he's only sixteen? At least the Empire knows about Hondo, but if they find a Lando Calrissian registered on Lothal, and presumably he did buy a proper deed to that farm, you do NOT just tell an Imperial agent that kind of information. The kid hasn't exactly had a proper upbringing but he's supposed to be street smart and savvy at least, and he's been a member of the Rebellion and even trusted with a rank in Phoenix Squadron. He even had a promotion that lasted not even an episode but at least that's just because he was overeager and not because he was namedropping their actual contacts to everyone in a uniform.

I think you forgot the crucial bit of information when a one-handed and battered Mace Windu, having survived being electrified and thrown out a window earlier, had just crawled back to the Jedi Temple to warn them when that youngling came flying through the window and smacked into him, sending him tumbling back into the depths of Coruscant.

Han/Ren Confrontation, Ren's Theme, Rey's Theme, Resistance March, and I Can Fly Anything are great.
>>
>>87495510
They don't hold a candle to anything from the OT, and certainly not anything from the Prequels
>>
>>87495689
Yeah well the OT is over 30 years old. PT is over a decade old. Give it time, hasn't even been a year yet. Plus I'm pretty sure there's certain tracks in both trilogies that aren't as good as I Can Fly Anything, that shit is godly!
>>
I've been listening to Michael Giacchino to get a feel for what we can expect in Rogue One.
And his songs just sort of blend together. He's got this Hans Zimmer thing going on where everything just sounds samey.

I recently watched Doctor Strange and today I rewatched the first Star Trek and the themes are just a bit similar to say the least.

So I'm a bit worried for Rogue One's soundtrack.
>>
>>87495782
Well every film has a couple duds, but TFA's soundtrack is like 70% duds

It doesnt help that it was hard to even hear the music at all during the film, making the music less memorable since you cant really associate it with iconic scenes
>>
>>87495084
It's Star Wars Infinities: The Empire Strikes Back. It's an alternate timeline, so even back in the EU days it wasn't canon. Luke is already dead by this point.

That's pretty much how it is all the time, especially this episode. I think it can only be a set up for Sabine to break down later. The way she acts now is when she's calm and in control of her emotions, which will end if she gets pushed far enough- probably by her mother calling her a traitor to her face.

So Imwe is attuned to the force, we know everyone uses the force to an extent to perform amazing feats in nucanon, and he is so spiritually confident in his abilities that he can fight while blind. They're taking a big steamy shit on their interconnected Canon just so they don't have to explain why a force user is around before episode 4 but they already don't give a fuck about that rule because they have Kanan and Ezra. This just shows a massive fuck up in terms of communication between different projects and the story group. I wanted to have faith in nucanon but I fear we will have some major contradiction like in the EU in about 2 years.

>Mandalore is a duchy.

Under Satine's regime they were. We don't know too much about Mandalorian social structure before the 'new Mandalorians' beyond that they might've had a seemingly feudal style culture.

Houses (great/important families)> Clans (vassal families)> commoners

The existence of the Protectors implies the there is/was a singular ruler before Satine's time. But we don't know if it was hereditary. Personally, knowing Mandalorians that embrace being fighters, I suspect it was a position that had to be earned in someway or another. Either by force or by recognition of past feats.

We learn about it in Servants. This version is for patrol and defense due to the fact that it's so simple, one man, and lightly armed. An AT-ST has more weapons and a copilot/gunner slot so it can actually handle a bigger variety of jobs.

Which is an evolution from the clone wars AT-RT which was even lighter and open topped and more fragile still.

This wasn't Ezra's episode to shin. I think he made a number of stupid mistakes here, some of which will bite them hard on the ass later on.

I much prefer that the episode took the time to do what it did, which was expand on the larger history of the galaxy and the nature of the players therein. Some hints about ancient Mandalorians and heavily implying that what happened to Concord Dawn didn't happy overnight (though if you consider Rau actually meant that this was but one of the fights during their ancient history that's an even more horrifying implication for the Mandalorians). Also the Protectors were never a clan (it was at least clear that Protectors wasn't the name of their clan) but rather a multi-clan organization that drew its talent from those deemed worthy in terms of both talent and ideals. As such I doubt they died with Rau's people. Even if he's the last survivor ideas like that tend to be harder to kill and will likely return.

Also there is a strong implication, I think, that Sabine is NOT a traitor specifically due to any antics on the part of the Death Watch during the Clone Wars. Since Saxon is so high up in the Imperial-aligned Mandalorian government at the very least there was no larger disgrace of House Vizsla. At least in the eyes of people like Rau, however I still think he's referring to more recent events. He seems to have made a deal with the Empire to survive, but even then Mandalorians have sold their services in the past. They once sold it to the Republic training clones. He seems to consider it different that his world has sold itself to the Empire. Mandalore for the Mandalorians. They survive and endure while others come and go. If he perceives the Empire as eating away their culture...

Still a bit of a hypocrite to work for them, but then he made it sound like he had no choice.

Hate leads to suffering.

In all seriousness the Sith crave power at any and all cost. This means that with few exceptions sith abandon their families(or kill them outright in Palpatine's case). Sith don't have friends, because Sith are secretive and paranoid of betrayal out of habit, because Sith hate each other even before the rule of two and after it can't let anyone really know them(Mas Amedda was maybe the only non sith who really stuck around to "get" Palpatine, for example).

The smaller time sith offshoot groups(Blackguards, Sorcerers of Tund, Mecrosa Order, Prophets of the Dark Side, ect. ect.) that DON'T want to conquer the galaxy and deal with smaller shit and don't have that insane obsession. But Palpatine had all of them slaughtered or driven to his will.

Boba Fett is a bounty hunter. He needs something rugged enough to repair himself, dependable enough to keep a long time, and something he can actually afford to use. So it's natural he'd go for something bulkier and more stable.

The Empire's doctrine is the reverse. They can afford to buy millions of jetpacks and if one breaks it can be replaced rather than repaired.

It's the same reason TIE fighters are a fraction the size of X-Wings.

I agree. The design isn't great. My main complaint is that it's a one singular exhaust nozzle that's in the center. That jive should be setting their asses on fire.

>Is Boba Fett just using an outdated model

Older, yes. But mayhaps not outdated. Though I will give them that despite being directly shot they didn't explode or malfunction unlike Boba's or some guys' from Death Watch. So I guess it's kind of a tradeoff. No rocket launcher, but improved plating/prevention of malfunction.

Hey anons, so I made a bit of an impulse buy tonight and bought a couple of Hot Wheels Star Wars Starships toys. Two X-Wings, a Y-Wing and TIE Striker.

What's interesting though, is that one of the X-Wings is patterned in black and white. It's a Rogue One model, and it's called the Partisan X-Wing. So, I'm guessing this means Saw's Partisans will be getting X-Wings with their own livery?

Very nearly so. The lore says there were a couple of OK ones but the vast majority of them were pretty bad. Reminder that George is actually giving Tion Medon is memorable design in this webm.

/tv/ often takes a lot of BTS stuff out of context to shitpost.

They sort of struck gold with the Phantom Menace BTS (you know the one) because a lot of that documentary was all about the worry and pressure of reviving Star Wars, so there was a lot of worried faces and remarks.

But after they bled that documentary dry by memeing it to oblivion, they moved on to other BTS stuff. For example, one of the common ones is the clip of Obi-Wan hugging Dex, an easy go-to of "LOOK, LUCAS ONLY USES CGI NOW", while ironically ignoring that McGregor is standing in one of the many practical sets in the trilogy.

Then they find little clips like this, again trying to take them out of context. "Look, Lucas totally just RUINED this guys model, what a HACK!"

TL;DR - People are so caught up on this charade of Lucas being a bad filmmaker that they resort to lies and slander and out-of-context clips to try and belittle him.

You can never take /tv/ seriously especially when they take scenes out of context. McGregor was with a real person for Dex's scenes. The actual actor was on set and they interacted for a scene. Additionally, 10+ years ago people were astonished by the effects. Nothing like it was around aside from Lord of the Rings. CGI technology was lackluster in '99-'05. "What PS game is this?" Stepping back for some perspective, it really baffles me how hypocritical people are when it comes to SW.

If in an alternate reality the meme was to hate on the OT, you could get just as much shitpost mileage there if you misrepresent and lie about things like they do with the PT.

Mike's reviews are a joke and the definition of biased. He was so incredibly butt devastated that Jar Jar existed that he picked apart the movies, ignoring that you can pick apart ANY movie the way he did.

Just like his Star Trek Nemesis review. Nemesis is a good movie but he pretends it's not.

Why would you not want to enjoy great new Star Wars?

I never got the problem with this to begin with. The guy is a concept designer, he's being paid by Lucas to come up with stuff. Hardy was a shit villain, the plot was pants on head retarded, the clone subplot was boring and unnecessary, and for a film about the Romulans, it could have used far more Romulan screen time.

Nemesis, combined with Enterprise, killed star trek until JJ revived it with his shitty films.

I get different strokes for different folks, but Nemesis is objectively the second worst star trek film, only behind into darkness.

But no one has to nitpick the prequels for them to be shit. They're already shit because of bad acting and laughable writing.
>>
>>87503795
Yeah, it hasn't come up much at all. The closest we've seen since season 2 was when Sabine's bounty hunter friend showed up and Ezra was really enthusiastic about being on assignment with Sabine, but even then it seemed less about his crush and more about being given more responsibilities.

Hell, we just had an episode where the two spent a significant amount of time together and even had an extended scene where Ezra is literally wrapped around her and they didn't do or say anything remotely flirtatious. If Filoni and crew still think there's a possible romance between them, they're not really doing much to push it.

Plagueis (in the EU) did enjoy Palpatine's company, because he didn't fear Palpatine betraying him (because he was going to achieve immortality) and could treat Palpatine as a partner instead of just as an apprentice. Plagueis's disdain for the Rule of Two gave him wider options than the usual master-apprentice paradigm would allow for. I never read Plagueis (but I do have the intention on reading it in the future) but do they give a reason why Palpatine is an ass? Plagueis sounds like a pretty good guy and giving Palpatine a partnership with immortality seemed like a good deal. Instead he killed him in his sleep? Why?
>>
>>87505605
Yes, and not all of it is in the prequels, yet the prequels are the only thing focused on because, again, its people who only have a passing interest in Star Wars who harp on it.

You're not going to convince anyone that even the slightest criticism of the PT is anything less than trolling.

Anons in here cannot wrap their heads around people having different tastes and opinions.
>>
>>87505668
I never once claimed it was all in the prequels, but there is a lot more wrong with them than the rest of Star Wars. Not just the OT, I think the EU is overall far better than the Prequels. The ewoks in Jedi really dragged that movie down for me.
>>
>>87505663
One of the things the novel makes clear early on is that Palpatine is ambitious and has no conscience whatsoever. He has no real reason to betray Plagueis beyond "fuck you, I'm not sharing power!"

The major issue was that Plagueis got complacent and Palpatine was letting him have a false sense of security- he let Plagueis think they had a polite and trusting relationship while plotting against him the entire time.
>>
>>87505721
It's really not their fault, many people do hate the PT for little reason, but that doesn't mean there aren't any good reasons.
>>
>>87505721
What else could prequel criticism be at this point? We all know why people don't like it, there is no purpose in re-iterating the bullet point list of why the movies arent good.

No, the Force the itself should be excised from the Galaxy and all life itself, all because this eldritch power ramps up the autism of those who can wield it to max and making them view the world as black and white, literally dark and light side.

Superweaons like Death Stars and Starkillers maybe created and the galaxy may always be embroiled in warfare but at least they are not in the hands of crazy fanatic people that can lift things with their minds.
>>
>>87505668
>passing interest

I have read through countless EU novels in my day, anon. I own and have read all of the making of books that have been released including the ones that came out around the time of Empire and Jedi were being made. I've read the George Lucas autobiography. I have watched all of the documentaries about Star Wars including from Star Wars to Jedi. I followed the entire Clone Wars multimedia event from 2002 to 2005.

I do not like the prequels. I have more than a passing interest.

>>87505663

Palpatine is a genuine psychopath who was already remorseless for killing innocents long before he ever became a Sith Lord. He slaughtered his entire family without hesitation the moment he was approached by Plaguis and had power even mentioned, because he had a fetish for the idea of being a Sith.

Palpatine doesn't want a partner and a mentor into perpetuity. He wants to dominate, regardless of traditions. That's why he had a wealth of dark side minions and collected anyone else affiliated with the Sith under his rule, whereas while Plaguis may have bent the rules a little bit Palpatine completely disregarded them.
>>
>>87506008
>>I'm more of a fan than anyone

Never said or alluded to that. Merely stated I am not a passer by.

>and I unreasonably hate and harp on 3 movies

I stated I did not like them as a counterpoint to you saying that only passer byes dislike them.

Also if my mere mention of disliking them is "unreasonable" then what would you consider a reasonable criticism?

>specifically because its popular to do so

I have dislike TPM since it came out and continued to dislike it up till now.

If THAT WHOLE TIME SPAN has been a "popular" time to make fun of the PT, then that means either

A:people have been trolling the PT fanbase for the last 17 years even though they all secretly like them.

or B: (and this is more likely) a lot of hardcore Star Wars fans just really do not like the PT.

I also remember us having in depth discussions about all the movies and calling out what was wrong with some of them while also keeping our discussions civil.

Sure, we had our spats and contention, but they never lasted more than a few hours and weren't a major part of out thread culture.

Gonna be honest, I started Star Wars with the original Clone Wars. Then I watched ROTS, thought it was great but I had to see the last two films to fully understand it. Saw TPM and AOTC. Thought TPM had neat battles but AOTC bored the hell out of me until I saw the clones in the very end. Rewatched ROTS, still liked it. Then I saw the OT and I fell in love with the films. Never got tired of rewatching them. That is how I started Star Wars. How did you start Star Wars?
>>
>>87507020

I got the original trilogy on VHS for Christmas when I was 10 (1995).

The Special Editions were getting ready to come out so toys and books were out in abundance. Found out prequels were coming out in a few years. It was the perfect time to get into Star Wars.

The last set of Pre-Special Edition VHS. My dad thought I'd enjoy it, and I ended up watching them over a 4-day period (busy weekend).

Then the Special Edition came out. I loved the effects upgrades, but some of the extra stuff...I don't know. It felt like it threw off the original pacing and feeling. Bugged the hell out of me on repeat viewings, but I didn't go full autist over it.

I started SW with the unaltered OT on VHS.
Then TPM and eventually AOTC on VHS.
ROTS was the first SW film I saw in theaters.
My friends mostly had the SE OT on VHS, but I thought all the CG was cool.

Used to watch the OT on Spike TV every day after school when I was like 7. During that time I played the N64 versions of Shadows of the Empire and Episode 1 Racer. I also saw the 2003 Clone Wars when it came out. I remember the hype for Episode 3 even though I didn't understand the story other that 'this is the one where that guy becomes Darth Vader'. I then went on to play The Force Unleashed. After that I forgot about Star Wars until Episode 7 was announced then during the hype I got into the EU and nucanon.

I'm not saying men can't die to women, especially if the woman uses a gun or gets the drop on them, but in straight up hand-to-hand combat where a man and a woman fight each other with full awareness of the fight, your average male will be able to beat 90% of women.

We all know men are naturally more aggressive, there's nothing to be ashamed of with that since it's a product of your biology, but lying/ignoring it isn't going to help things.

Also male adrenaline isn't the same as female adrenaline, which plays a big factor in aggression.

>>87508812
>With a few exceptions, it seems like no one had a really good idea for the EU
The 90's were pretty much defined by a lack of direction. Starting with the Thrawn trilogy, a lot of the post-ROTJ stuff was just "here's another adventure!" and "well, here's another book!" and they just kind of kept adding more new adventures without a real sense of direction or any real attempt to build towards anything particular. Only Kevin J. Anderson seemed to try to build anything, but it was mostly just building on his own stuff and a lot of other authors didn't really want to touch Anderson's stuff because it was kind of terrible.

NJO happened right around the time Lucasfilm actually created a continuity department, so it helped them to at least keep things somewhat cohesive (even if Leland Chee's compulsive need to keep everything canon regardless of contradictions did more harm than good), at least compared to the 90's "throw shit against the wall" era.

It's kind of funny that Gunray is perceived as having a Chinese or Japanese accent and Watto is perceived as having a Middle Eastern/Jewish accent, when the actors were doing Transylvanian and Italian respectively. Granted, Silas Carson's Transylvanian is pretty bad (not sure why he specified it was Transylvanian, most people just say Romanian), but I'm still baffled that people don't realize Watto's accent is Italian. What are you talking about? The guy said that humans in Star Wars were alien.

He was wrong. They are Humans.

Then you asked why I didn't think that Nien Numb sounded Kenyan and I said it was because I had never heard Kenyan when I sww ROTJ and had no idea it was Kenyan at the time I saw TPM.

No, I'm saying that AOTC released on film and VHS did not look nearly as good as it did on a digital projector and DVD respectably.

They see slant eyes and long robes and think "Chinese" and they see the big trunk and greedy demeanor and think "Jew" so mentally they skew the accent to match.

It happens all the time. Hell, it happens to Hondo- people see this flamboyant, charismatic pirate and think his accent is Mexican because he reminds them of Ricardo Montalban, but his voice is actually based on Yul Brynner.

>He's too busy running the Empire.
A lot of new canon states that he really doesn't. He left the Empire to it's own devices and was always studying sith magic. Tarkin and the Vader comic allude to Palpatine not giving a damn about it. Which explains why it was such a mess.

You can't say a movie has plotholes without posting evidence. People scream plotholes all the time without actually understanding what they are. To this day people still bitch about Promtheus having plotholes when the film goes out it's way to explain everything.

I love the PT and honestly don't care if someone don't like them because i could kinda see why, but i'd like to bring a point that i haven't seen yet, that the PT is still superior compared to most blockbusters standards

Because that's what Star Wars really is, they're blockbusters. Everyone wants to see Star Wars as "kino" or whatever word you use because the SW universe is awesome and all but in the end they're just blockbusters, entertainment. And when i see most blockbusters i gotta say the PT completely holds up.

So i don't know if that point really works because it kinda sounds like i'm saying "hey the PT is good compared to shitty movies !" but i don't think Lucas was trying to be the new Kubrick (sorry for the comparison, i'm a Kubrick fanboy) but he was mainly trying to make entertaining movies and i think he very well achieved that. So when i see people stating that the PT are the worst shit ever made i wonder if these people actually saw a lot of movies, because there's a LOT of blockbuster movies that sold very well and that were WAY worse than the PT

You guys like Prometheus?

You think it doesn't have a thousand errors?

Why did they not brief anyone about the mission before leaving on the mission? Why would these people go without being told why?

Why did the guy who was afraid of a DEAD alien head suddenly wanting to pet an ALIVE alien that was rearing back like a cobra?

Why did the black goo give the guy eye worms, and then weird alien semen to knock up the lady with an alien baby? Is that how the good works? Why did it melt the other dudes face?

Gotta disagree. I think George is an artist and that ANH and the PT are George's pulp art.
They aren't trying to say something about the human condition, but they are much less mindless than most action movies.
>>
>>87509832
None of that hurts my enjoyment of the film though.
It's beautifully scored and shot, and David and Shaw are interesting characters.

Speaking of Prometheus, I recently discovered a fanedit by someone that fixes some of Prometheus's problems. And the dude just reuploaded the BluRay iso today, 21GB. I can share the link if anyone wants it. I also have a link to a lower quality 1080x720p file(letterboxed) 2gb file.

>>
>>87509851
Well obviously i see George as an artist and i believe they're less mindless than most action movies as well, but all in all they are still action movies, or at least sold as action movies, that's why i'm making a comparison
I probably didn't express myself well but that's what i mean

None of those are fucking errors and get explained in the damn movie. There's a great YouTube video that actually addresses everything you're saying. Using the movie only as evidence.

>Why did the black goo[...]
It's a bioweapon that causes severe changes in the host's DNA. You see what a mild dose can do and a heavy dose.

>Why did the guy who was afraid[...]
Did you miss he was trying to impress the archeologist? He was showing off to look cool and paid for it with his life.

>Why did they not brief[...]
It was a rush job. Did you miss the beginning of the movie? And they agreed because they got paid for it beforehand. The same happened in the Lost World Jurassic Park when they were hired without actually being told what they were seeing or doing.

>>87509906
I hate fanedits. They're typically made by diehard fans which means the narrative/story structure is butchered and pacing goes out the window. It also suffers by alienating certain groups of people because this fan's edit is the only "correct" version because it's his interpretation of what the film should be.
>>
>>87510179
This isn't necessarily trying to be a correct version. Its just an alternate version. I like the original film and i can say that I like this edit too.
