Remember kids, bullying is okay as long as you don't like the victim.
>>
>>87477449

>as long as you don't like the victim.

Nah, it's "as long as they're not a minority".

Remember: The Rebel Alliance is always the good guy. The Empire is always the bad guy. Size is all that matters, and playing the victim is a sweeter temptation than honey on tits. Just ask Islamic Extremists and Christian Bigots.
>>
>>87477524

>Still giving Willis attention
>>
>>87477623

The one with the most "minority" in her genetic history is being oppressed.

Alternate: the one whose religion has the least amount of adherents in the country she currently resides in is being oppressed.

If their minority status is indiscernibly similar, than they've both internalized toxic masculine violence.

Didn't Mary blackmail Ruth?
>>
>>87477800
only after getting physically assaulted and openly humiliated multiple times

and that blackmail was to try and force ruth to do her job as RA.
>>
>>87477813
>and that blackmail was to try and force ruth to do her job as RA.
No it was to get her to break up with her girlfriend and so she could lord it over her.
Acknowledging that Ruth is a bitch doesn't automatically make Mary a saint.
>>
>>87477845
actually, ruth broke up with billie(and sobered up) so mary wouldn't have blackmail fodder over her anymore, because mary was trying to get ruth to hold dorm meetings, keep the hall at a managable volume, and other things of that sort.
>>
>>87477865
Seemed more like she just liked having Ruth under her thumb.
>>
>>87477845
Ruth broke up with Billie and got sober to just go back to being mean to Mary without the blackmail looming over her head
>>
>>87477885
and again, that only happened after Mary tried to get ruth to do her goddamn job in the first place, multiple times, after a situation arose that she did not instigate, and tried to resolve with words, before going full bitch.
>>
>>87477885
Not really, when Ruth never actually did what she asked regardless. She did 1 (one) meeting and then abandoned her immediately.

>>
>>87477936

>>
>>87477936
>>87477979
IT'S FUNNY BECAUSE POLITICIANS ARE FAKE!
>>
>>87477936
I have three reactions to this:
1.) I have no idea what my emotions are supposed to be.
2.) Where's the joke?
3. ) Are Robin and Leslie going to munch carpets or what? And if so, do we have to watch? Because the scars from the porn comic are still fresh.
>>
>>87477936
The cringe factor in this comic is astounding
>>
>>87477936
I for one, shall ignore those first five panels and await what may come from her acting like a slutty librarian around the lesbian teacher.
>>
>>87477936
I don't even know what this is.

>That Leslie face in the first panel, specifically the eyelids
What the fuck, Willis? How do you make someone's eyes look so retarded when they're closed?

Also is that pandering stuff a Hillary slam? Cause I feel like she does that a decent amount. When Trump panders it's more like calling out how many minorities he's hired, but Kaine and Clinton love to switch language and throw in slang to pander.
>>
>>87477936

He's trying to tell a joke, but I'm not feeling it.
>>
>>87477845
>>87477885

That's Willy's post-incident retcon talking.

How the incident actually occurred:
>Mary reacts to Carla's continual, persistent annoyance by snapping something "transphobic" at here, then keeps Ruth (who only now shows up because Trannies > Everyone else) from punishing her by revealing that she knows how shitty Ruth really is
How it occurred after his critics easily poked holes in it;
>Mary engineered the entire incident PURELY to hurt Carla and Ruth

It's utterly ridiculous. Despite his point at the time supposedly being "Misgendering is wrong no matter how annoying the tranny is!", he's all but admitted to fucking up by scrubbing away Carla's involvement and going all-out making Mary seem as unpleasantly transphobic a KKK ripoff as possible instead of the reactionary initial-victim who only pulls out "transphobia" after continued incessant harassment.
>>
>>87477936
>Slutty Librarian
>Hyper-patriotic Cowboy
Could you do them both at the same time?
>>
>>87478012
B-but Anon!
She wouldn't have mentioned it AT ALL if she wasn't transphobic! Which should be a crime punishable by death by the way.
>>
>>87477991
>Are Robin and Leslie going to munch carpets or what?

Odds seem likely

>And if so, do we have to watch?

Of course not. It would likely be in a Slipshine if it did. And we can choose not to read it.
>>
>>87477813
She only got physically assaulted once before the blackmail. Not that it changes anything, but it's important to be accurate

>>87477936
>This woman got elected to a government position

Fucking hell, Willis. The GOP may have some dense leaders (and before any of you start, I'm talking about Palin), but even they aren't this visibly incompetent.
>>
>>87478063
I think the "mulitple times" was in reference to being openly humiliated.
>>
>>87478063
I think Robin was supposed to be a parody of Palin at first...then a decade past and he had to salvage it to be Trump?
>>
>>87477623
Calculate privilege points.
>>
>>87478063
See, in the old universe, Robin as a Congresswoman almost made sense, in addition to being a recurring gag, because she was a war hero with superpowers.

DoA Robin is like a blend of all the worst traits of Sarah Palin, Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton and [insert anti gay politician implicated in gay sex scandal]
>>
>>87477865
>>87477891
Thing is, Ruth didn't actually have to break up with Billie or quit drinking. They already removed evidence of their drinking and Billie moved back into her room. All they needed to do is keep their relationship and drinking on the down low, which is pretty fucking easy. The whole thing basically went like this:

"Alright, I moved a few feet down the hall into my old room."
"Fuck you, Billie, you piece of shit. You're abandoning me in my time of need. Now give me back my room key."

>>87478063
Palin was only kind of an idiot, and really just seemed incompetent on national matters. Robin seems to be either mentally retarded or really, really high.
>>
>>87478189

No, Robin shoved an Asian guy's head up Palin's ass when Palin joined an Evil League to attack the toy store she worked at.

I dunno what he's doing with her right now. She could be pretty abrasive in Shortpacked but I feel like Willy's made her almost a "bad guy" in this.
>>
>>87478193
We have, being transfemale and asexual is completely blown out of the water by Carla also being white, passing trans, super wealthy, and well-connected.

>>87478189
>>87478213
>>87478213

He makes her explicitly Trump because otherwise she's exactly like Clinton, both of them.
>>
>>87477936
The bit about the kids having to tell Robin if they are 17 made me smile.

The rest of the comic made me wonder how on earth Robin managed to get elected in the first place.

There's just no reason for it to look this bad. This isn't even art skill at this point. He's actively making decisions that make his art more unappealing.
>>
It hurts me to see Mary abused like this, especially ironic because I'm a trap in progress myself.[/spoilers] I just want to give her a hug, tell her it'll get better, then go over to Billie and haymaker her nose into the back of her skull.

The thing is that 4chan's nature means you can't take anything seriously. Nobody knows who anyone else is and thus all slurs and other bullshit holds no real meaning. If I post ">she" or "tranny" am I actually just a transphobic bigot? Am I being an edgelord fucking around? Am I a tranny myself that's just fucking around? Who knows! It doesn't mean shit!

Lack of identity means it's harder to get offended by the words and slurs which means they lose all of their power: look at fag or even nigger. When you use "fag" to just mean "I like X" or you call Canadians "snow niggers", it doesn't mean shit anymore.

You could make Mary one hell of an antagonist by hooking her up with Carla. If she hooks up with Carla she's in a lesbian relationship with a transwoman, meaning she can pull the bigotry card when anyone criticizes her. At the same time she can avoid hypocrisy and cognitive dissonance with her fundamentalist Christian morality because she views Carla as a mentally ill man and Carla's asexuality means that she'll never have to personally confront Carla's trans status. Any criticism from Carla about Mary's behavior can be deflected back on Carla's assholishness. And since Carla is rich as hell it means Mary gets to do all this in style.

Wasn't the woman being bullied literraly telling how she wanted to bully someone else.

Isn't her being punched the same as the school bully getting their comeuppance?
>>
>>87487212
From a purely textual standpoint Mary, who is an asshole but has never bullied anyone prior, is asking permission to bully Carla, who is also an asshole who forcibly outed Billie and Ruth as lovers while announcing loudly to the entire hall that Ruth was going to kill herself because she didn't eat some cookies, from Billie, who is another asshole and who was a bully in high school, because they both have issues with Carla for what she did to Ruth, who is a sadistic bully.
>>
>>87487212
>>87487379
I wouldn't really call it bullying.

She asked to get revenge against Carla for the things she did to her and Billie. I don't consider it bullying when the people being attacked can defend themselves, aren't isolated, and initiate and refuse to de-escalate conflicts.
>>
>>87487482
It depends on what definition of bullying you're using. Most require an element of repetition which would mean only Ruth qualifies.

There's also the fact that Mary wanting to bully Carla isn't properly supported by the text. Before Carla's Rube Golberg revenge scheme, Mary preferred to just ignore her. After the revenge scene, you could make an argument that Mary wants to get even, but I don't think we even get a strip after that where Mary even tries to do so. Hell, the first Mary strip after the revenge plot was just her mentally masturbating to Reagan.

As such, we don't see her wanting to get even with Carla as her doing what's in character for her, and instead we treat it for what it is: Willis bending established characters because it's convenient for him

Technically, since the "Walkyverse" incorporates alternate realities and shit, any edit or spinoff we make is canon. Infinite realities and whatnot.

So if we, say, made a spinoff where Mary is a Crusader ridding the Holy Land of degenerate invaders with her trusty squires Joyce and Sierra, Willis would have no choice but to recognize it as a canonical counterpart to the universe of DoA and It's Walky

Even if Mary behaves poorly (She doesn't) that doesn't justify poor behaviour on the part of people like Billie or Ruth.

Fix your line weight.
If you're going to add details to a character's face, add them in every panel.
If you're gonna shade one panel, shade every panel.
Go take some life-drawing classes. Once you know how to actually draw your cartoony, stylised art will be all the better for it.
Learn how perspective works.
Your dialogue is clumsy, unnatural and stilted, and it doesn't always match with the action/expressions of the characters to boot.
It's all too often unclear what happening in your comics. You seem to have trouble getting across what's going on.
I'm not sure of the overall point of your comic. If it's a parody, where are the jokes? This just seems like some sorta weirdo AU DOA fanfiction.

>Leslie doesn't want to go to the rally on the off-chance someone will notice her there, but still wants to be near Robin.
At the moment I thought it was pretty laughable that someone would feel that strongly about not being there. I do remember that people totally did dig up pics of the Oculus guy at Trump rallies when that controversy was happening. Even so, I still think you could explain it away as not being an admission of support, but an expression of wanting hear the person's talking points.

>Not only was she spotted, she was spotted by the candidate, because they put Leslie right behind her. (Pic related)
I have to admit, I don't think I noticed when Willis did this. Robin remembering her from her tits is a pretty funny joke, but WIllis doesn't make that connection at all so I won't give it to him. Easy way, insert a dupe of panel 3 before the current 3, that has Robin glancing down before she says she recognizes Leslie. I might try to do it later, but it would be a pain since it's an open panel.

Anyway, it's really weird that she'd agree to be that close to Robin, though, knowing that there would definitely be photo and video evidence of her being there.

>Khan family reference

>Oh my god he IS turning her into Trump
She's not considering Trump actually does give a fuck about dead soldiers and shit.

The Leslie/Robin plot is really annoying. I think it's actually, at its core, kind of cute and having Leslie act like a gibbering lovestruck doofus is actually kind of amusing. But Willis just cannot leave well enough alone and has to get his political digs in no matter what. He can't have the differing politics just be background noise for the typical odd couple shenanigans. He instead has to drag it kicking and screaming to the forefront, making it the "punchline" so it's what sticks in the reader's mind because to Willis, the self-righteous lefty Leslie acting like a goober because her crush on Robin supercedes her politics isn't what's important. It's merely a vehicle to bring Robin in so he can continue throwing out political potshots.

You couldn't really work the current plot with the switch. However, you could have Galasso as the politician and Robin as the professor. Having Robin as the professor would also make her behavior fit better, as you could explain it as her dropping any pretense of professionalism the moment she got tenure, and give a better reason for Robin to try and avoid being seen with Galasso, as she's been pretending to be a lesbian to help her career.

Incidentally: if they're in the US and bitching about their school's administration online for the mishandling of a rape case, they could be fired if anyone found out. Once a rape has been disclosed, you're supposed to report it to your Title IX coordinator and then shut the hell up. That's a breach of confidence and could impact the result of disciplinary proceedings as well as make public something the student in question didn't want made. Any responsible instructor has annual Title IX training and should know this.

I actually think it's highly possible that Cerberus is the kind of person who will quickly wear out their administrators with all sorts of false alarm, wolf-crying bullshit, so that any actual threat ends up buried beneath an avalanche of inane warnings to the effect of "I saw a straight white cis man yawn the other day and in baboons that's a sign of aggression and I think it's highly likely he's going to start abducting females and shoving them in the rape dungeon that every straight white cis man has so I think we should call the SWAT team immediately and put this beast down".

If you use 4chan X, then you can also filter the stubs of the comments.

A quick method of filtering tripfags, is simply to highlight their tripcode, click the little arrow next to their post number, and the click "filter selected text" from the drop down menu. This will bring up your filter list and give you the option to hide all their posts.

Believe it or not, but Willis wasn't always an SJW. Back in the day, he even used to be... cool!

(Fun fact: according to Willis, Mary originally started out as basically his ideal girl, as the replacement resident Christian for Joyce. When he started getting fed up with his fundamentalist life, he had a backlash against Mary as a result, and started making her a deceiving hypocrite instead.)

Even leaving aside that the leaders of the Leave side immediately bailed when it passed, and that so far Brexit has been nothing but bad, it was still outstandingly stupid not to have a mechanism for a second referendum. A direct democracy isn't a winner-takes-all competition, it's not supposed to be "The entire future of our country will be based on whatever people feel like on this one day", if it looks like the people might have changed their mind then they ARE supposed to have another one.

In comparison, Ireland is much more fine with second referendums, and is SO much better for it.

Trouble was, Cameron thought that Leave would NEVER win (and neither did most of the pro-Leave politicians) and underestimated how much the right-wing tabloids would turn on him and lie about the EU on an industrial scale. You're right that people would change their minds - polls have shown that enough Leave voters have Bregret that if it was held now, Remain would probably win.

But of course, we have our current government banging on about the "will of the people" like Britain's turned into the USSR or some shit.

I imagine there won't be a problem getting in if the British people vote on it, as long as it's after the next general election. The other EU countries will go "Hold on, you guys left us high and dry, why do you think we'll let you back in", Britain will go "That was a different government's doing. We've got a new one now", and the EU will go "Yeah, I suppose it'd be unfair to fault you for that".

That is, assuming the public do want to be let back in. If Brexit even just breaks even, people will be fine staying out.

Joyce didn't decide on her own. Sal said that the cops won't do anything, then Dorothy supported Sal by chiming in with "I read an article," then Billie made a joke about going back to sleep instead of helping their friend who had just been assaulted.

Sarah was the only one telling Joyce to go to the cops the entire time.

>Sarah was the only one telling Joyce to go to the cops the entire time
This is true, but surely you aren't arguing that if someone brings up a fact contrary to their point while arguing that point to present a full picture is doing a bad thing. You can show pros and cons so the person can make a good decision while still supporting one side. It is in fact a way more intellectually honest way to present an argument.

Also there's literally a panel of Dorothy attempting to call 911 for an ambulance and police and Joyce is grabbing her hand and telling her not to.
>>
>>87512320
If you hold a referendum and the people decide they don't want the option you want, that's it.
If you ignore that, you don't live in a democracy anymore.
Hell, if it was such an obviously bad choice with nothing but bad consequences, why would so many people vote for it? They must have had some reasons. And if you say it was all racists and cowards that voted against, that still means something is so wrong with your country that is shaped so many people like that.
Those politicians were so sure of themselves that they could say "see, the people are behind this. We can are obligated to push this even further" that they outplayed themselves. It was all a political ploy that they used for their own agenda, and they were so convinced that they were right that they didn't bother to address the people against them, but dismissed them and underestimated their numbers. This disconnect between leaders and their people shows something was already seriously wrong with the way things were going.
I'm not saying that the Brexit was okay or not, but this whole thing is just a consequence of poor leadership, not the people voting per sé.

Dorothy didn't make a good argument. She said the internet told her that schools don't always punish people who are accused of rape. Well, a big reason why schools don't do that is because victims often wait days, weeks, or even months to report a crime. At which point all evidence of the act is gone and all that's left is finger-pointing.

Yes, Dorothy wanted to call the cops and take Joyce to the hospital at first. But it's a moot point when ultimately she was one of the voices sowing doubt in Joyce's mind. She concern-trolled her own friend into not reporting an attempted rape to the authorities and in doing so helped a predator to remain free. She is a bad person and a bad feminist.
>>

It's not really a moot point. It is a very relevant fact that Dorothy tried to convince Joyce to go to authorities and was stopped twice by Joyce. The first time, Dorothy wasn't sowing any doubt in Joyce's mind. Joyce was just more concerned with being able to stay at the university than trying to stop a dangerous predator do to others what he did to her.

>ultimately she was one of the voices sowing doubt in Joyce's mind. She concern-trolled her own friend into not reporting an attempted rape to the authorities and in doing so helped a predator to remain free.

This is so crazy. Joyce is responsible for her own decisions. She never wanted to go to the police and her refusal is the only thing that aided Ryan.

Dorothy explained a possibility that she found in her limited research, and then finally said that, "Whether it does any good or not, I still think it's the *right thing* to at least *attempt* to report through the proper channels." That's definitive. And it's true. You're not going to catch every offender for every offense, but reporting serious crimes like this is the right thing to do. Which is another thing Dorothy said the night of the assault, that if they don't report Ryan, they are making it easier for him to attack someone else.
>>
>>87517406

First of all, she was stopped twice by a friend who had been roofied and was not in control of her faculties. There's no telling what Ryan put in Joyce's drink. Joyce could have died or suffered serious harm and Dorothy would have been partly to blame. I'm a little more forgiving of this since these people are barely out of high school and teenagers make dumb decisions like that, but Dorothy allowing her drugged up friend to make decisions is still bad and dumb.

Second of all, saying that colleges have a bad track record with punishing sexual assault and then just shrugging your shoulders and making a half-hearted recommendation to go through with reporting the crime anyway doesn't exactly engender confidence in Joyce. Sal is working hard to convince Joyce not to do it, Billie is useless, no one listens to Sarah, and Dorothy is concern-trolling with her half-assed Google research. These people suck and if you can't see why then you're a bad judge of character.

First off, all referendums in Britain (with some exceptions, of which the EU referendum wasn't one) are advisory - even ol' Fromage has had to admit this - and the fact there was a 1.9% majority vote AND quite a lot of people who should've had a vote - e.g. 17 year olds, British expats living in the EU - didn't, because reasons.

Secondly, the reason so many people voted for it is because they've been told for DECADES about how everyone in the EU is a Stalinist dickhead who kicks puppies and wants to stop you recycling teabags. Add in the absurd promises the Leave campaigners made (where's that £350 million for the NHS?) and the simple truth is that people were more willing to believe comforting lies (The EU is responsible for everything wrong in Britain) then the uncomfortable truth (bad governments, probably ones you voted for, are responsible for most of what's wrong in Britain).

Thirdly, given the spike in hate crimes in Britain, it's kinda disingeuous to say that racism and xenophobia didn't play a part in this shit.

Don't get me wrong, Britain will still blame the EU for everything wrong, even if we fuck up completely and let this shit go through, because that's what we do: we blame everyone but ourselves for our problems.

Eh, Mary's transformation came from a bit more of an... honest standpoint? As far as I recall he was writing for her early on and then simply realized her character was more unpleasant than anything, and went with that.

She was never a very good person, but at the least she was more realistic back then. It was a more subtle negativity that manifested itself in being judgmental and hypocritical.

The true irony of our current situation is that, in the process of attempting to turn a "bad" character into a "horrible evil" character, he's accidentally made her more sympathetic than she's ever been.
>>
>>87521886
>So, you're fine with millions of people losing their rights over shit they weren't allowed a say in?

Unless they were mislead about losing their voting rights after 15 years of complete non-residency they don't get to complain. If they were unaware they'd lose their voting rights after fifteen years its their own ignorance. If you want to talk about an actual issue of expat disenfranchisement you should have brought up the difficulty of expats actually getting ballots.

>And there's no "supposed" spike, just an actual one

The National Police Chief's Council explicitly said that a 57% increase in reporting was not indicative of a 57% increase in hate crimes and can partially be explained by decreasing police underreporting of crimes. It also fails to mention that the number of recorded hate crimes in the UK has been rising for five years, the 2016 spike started in April, and following it's peak at the end of June began a precipitous decline. The Home Secretary herself said in September that rates had returned to levels comparable with 2015. So, despite the popular image that at any given moment the BNP will start gunning down Muslims and Poles in the streets, the truth of the matter is that the UK had a rate of hate incidents that increased in line with prior years, a few incidents of violent hate crimes massively outside the norm coupled with police no longer falsifying data coupled with an atmosphere of tension and the ability for a witness or complainant to declare a matter a hate crime creating a statistical outlier in the period surrounding a major national or international event, which normally cause spikes in reported hate crimes. While racism and xenophobia will always play into things involving international relations, it's equally disingenuous to imply that they played a major role, or that I am a bigot, especially considering that nationalistic and far-right politics are far less prevalent in the UK than in the rest of the EU.

Exactly. I think that's why we keep coming back to this with constructive criticism (as opposed to, say, the /qc/ generals).

We can see what can be done with these characters with a bit of actual creativity rather than paint-by-the-numbers pandering. There's just enough set-up that it could be good, even while still appealing to the audience that Willis is trying to shoot for. This makes it different than, I dunno, Least I Could Do or CAD, because the rot of failure permeates everything with those series

Does Robin even have a side when it comes to LGBT rights?

It would be nice to have a clear idea of what Robin actually supports, but nope! Can't let that contaminate the purity of Robin/Leslie shipping bait and Robin continuing to prove that there's no way she could have gotten elected in a 'realistic slice-of-life college strip'

>>
>>87531402
>Bailey! What's your question?
>No, don't stand up. Nobody actually has to see what you look like.
>Just stay out of the frame, please.

Also, nice of Willis to not only dissolve the story potential for Robin trying to confirm that Leslie was at her rally, but also for Leslie to actually have to deal with the consequences of being discovered.

Also, has Robin even said anything about campus squatters and/or Lesbians™?
>>
>>87531402
This is so stupid. He can't even do the Trump parody right. Trump might be a cringey, catch-phrase machine sometimes, but he's really good at delivering those catch phrases. Robin isn't even confident in her cheesiest of pandering. What did she think this class appearance was going to be? Did she think she wasn't going to have to speak?
>>
>>87531402
Somehow I feel this strip would have more impact if we knew what Robin's positions were. I also love that Willis continues to poorly skirt around the belief that minorities with non-liberal political beliefs don't count as minorities.

Conservative party would get more minorities if they could stop being bigoted for, like, five minutes.

I'm serious. There are quite a few minorities who have right-leaning views, but stay with the Democrats because the Republicans have no idea how to deal with minorities, like, at all. Ever. Of course, right-leaning minorities are generally the ones that go against intersectionality (i.e. black people who don't support same-sex marriage, gay people who are racist), so trying to make all the different right-leaning groups happy would probably fail miserably.

Romney managed to snag 22% of the LGBT vote and Trump is polling slightly under 20% among African-American voters in several states. Removal of anti-LGBT planks from the Republican platform could easily see a big spike in support from gay and trans people.
>>
>>87531991
Dorothy doesn't like Robin, so she doesn't count. Leslie at least has the decency to be conflicted.
>>
In the last strip Dorothy raised her hand just so she could congratulate Robin for having a vagina in politics, even though Dorothy is a liberal and Robin is the comic's Trump surrogate. But Leslie going to Robin's rally isn't OK?

Dorothy is fuckin stupid.

I really despise this rally controversy throughline, so Dorothy's comment in panel one pisses me off. Although I wonder if this will be used to continue to justify not going to Leslie for help with Becky.

Don't lump SJWs with gay people. Gay people know and dislike to hate muslims just as much as muslims dislike to hate them. The LGBT community doesn't like them. The SJWs just push them. Exactly my point. Fairly soon, the republican platform won't have these anti-gay pillars that it has now. And it won't be because some two-faced politician thought they could get my vote by appealing to me with lies.

Joyce and Josh voluntarily helped Becky break into her house and Becky was actually hiding in Billie and Sal's room with something like a dozen people on the floor equally aware of it. Hell, after Ross' Roarin' Rifle Rampage the university should have been aware that Becky was squatting in the dorm.

And his fans who've seen it (on TVTropes at least) think it's bullshit and unrealistic that Becky would react like that after Ross kidnapped her and whatever.

I'm just thinking, "Holy fuck, her dad lost it and nabbed her at gunpoint and now he's both heavily injured and going to jail forever". How would that NOT make her sad? Or at the very least somber? It's still her fucking father and she's now losing the only family she had left, no matter what she thinks of it.

Brushing it off with "Lol fuck yoooou" isn't normal. It's not realistic. But that's what Willy wants, isn't it? http://rsbl.royalsocietypublishing.org/content/10/5/20140200.full?sid=aa702674-974f-4505-850a-d44dd4ef5a16
>In individuals attracted to adults, adult faces activated several brain regions significantly more than child faces. These brain regions comprised areas known to be implicated in face processing, and sexual processing, including occipital areas, the ventrolateral prefrontal cortex and, subcortically, the putamen and nucleus caudatus. The same regions were activated in paedophiles, but with a reversed preferential response pattern.

If their brains (like homosexuals) are wired differently, can we blame them for the things they do?

And then you get another one
http://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=10.1.1.818.3735&rep=rep1&type=pdf

And another one:
http://www.nytimes.com/2014/10/06/opinion/pedophilia-a-disorder-not-a-crime.html?_r=0

and another one
http://articles.latimes.com/2013/jan/14/local/la-me-pedophiles-20130115

These ideas work slowly into Academia, and then the general public. Safe spaces and cultural appropriation took 20-25 years at least, getting people to accept pedos is going to take a while, but it will happen.

Look, maybe you're paranoid enough to believe that the government is going to legalize pedophilia, but here in the real world, we know that classifying pedophilia as a disorder won't magically erase the issue of whether children can consent.

Did we magically release John Wayne Gacy or Ted Bundy when science decided that they were psychopaths? No. Because a consenting victim of a crime is still a victim of a fucking crime.

Fun fact, Sodomy (and therefore homosexual sex, and by proxy homosexuality) was illegal in 14 states until 2003

>>
>>87538985
Illegal because of religious reasons which shouldn't have applied and scientific reasons that have since been thrown out.

Still don't see how your boogeymen are going to get around the whole consent issue.

I've always thought pedophiles were just wired differently. The issue is that their urges are societal no nos. It's why I've never been bothered by loli or Shota hentai. Like, if you need to fap to something you could never legally do, I don't know why you can't be given any outlet. I can look up snuff hentai all the time and no one would arrest me for being a murderer.

A British politician high up in the government suggested that child immigrants should have their teeth checked to make sure they're not young adults. Dentists throughout the country told him that he was being retarded. Also, we're going to have to give up the single market if we get rid of freedom of movement, and there's no way Parliament will let that bullshit ride.
>>87534248
Anon, please you're making sense - you know how /pol/ hates that!
>>
>>87539074
Considering the past 10 years, one must assume the meaning of consent is as fluid as your gender.

Consider that AoC laws only really became a thing ~50 years ago, why should they stick around?
>>
>>87539285
Have you not been paying attention, dude? The definition of consent has NARROWED in the last ten years, and now only a "sober verbal yes" is considered appropriate. If anything, it's made it HARDER for pedophiles to get away with it.

I certainly do, pederasty was the esteemed way of the noble ancients.

What part of:
>These things take time.
Is hard to understand.

Your grandparents didn't approve of homosexuals. Your parents were okay with it, as long as it wasn't around their kids. You fully support it.

With Pedophilia and Bestiality, you are you are in your grandparents mindset "that is disgusting and we'll never allow it"

Things change.

We wouldn't want to be unreasonable to the little'uns. Look at their adorable faces.

Sometimes teenagers look older than they are. Hell, when I was 14 I could pass for about 18. Also, there were lots of refugees under 16, but they weren't allowed to be photographed by officials, and some of the photos used by right-wing tabloids were in fact of refugees still living in Calais.

To the rest of /doag/: I am sorry for derailing the thread like this, but I love triggering /pol/ with facts.

Of course things change. Society's a constantly evolving institution. I just don't see why you're being such a damn pessimist about the future, especially with stuff like >87539376 actively contradicting a future where marrying children to adults is legal.

You've shown me no good reason why the importance of consent is going to magically disappear. The evidence you have shown me has only supported classifying pedophilia as a mental illness, which (considering that the LGBT movement only got off the ground AFTER homosexuality was declassified as a disorder) is actively working against your claim. If anything, we're getting tougher on pedophilia -- Catholicism is a laughing stock specifically because they keep letting priests get away with molesting young children. So really, it just seems like you're scared of gay people and you're desperately trying to revert the progress they've made by trying to associate them with pedophiles. Well, it's not working.

Hey, half the reason I stick around here rather than braving Willis's comment section is because I get to mock /pol/ whenever they try to derail the discussion. You're in good company.

Thanks for being a good sport. Regardless, I should at least TRY to stay on-topic as long as possible in future. I'd rather we at least got close to reaching image limit before getting to autosage...
