This is informative, though.
They actually tell you how to vote and where to check online.
Sure, this is all very short and fragmented, but just telling people about the possibility of voting without even swinging your ass out of the house seems helpful.
And she does not just say it's important 'cause 'Murrica, but because it's the one bit of power you have to make a point.
One less guy voting is not a message to anyone to do anything. They don't need you to vote so long as anyone does.
A vote for any candidate is a message among many, but one you are sending.
Don't like Hillary or Trump? Vote for any of the other candidates.
A million people writing in Bernie Sanders is a message. It means there is a strong will to implement his policies.
Ten percent for Jill Stein is a message. It means she gets more reimbursement for expenses and validates her party, so they can do better in the next election, get a few people into the Houses, maybe.
Even your vote for the weird mullet guy with the tigers is a message. You would rather vote for some weirdo than Hillary or Donald.
Not voting means you have no effect beyond a latent status-quo bias. When that is precisely what you are angry about.
Voting can mean shit-all getting better. But not voting makes sure of it. If thing get better, it will be despite your best effort.
>>
>>87470468

Yeah, his opinion is literally to do nothing because he has no power to do anything.

The Supreme Court already made a decleration that the President can't revoke. By "leaving it to the states", that means "I'm not touching it" and pointing to the Justices as the reason.

I think people, not just in this thread, but in america in general, massively overestimate how much power the president has. If the office could do all the things they say they want to on campaign, such a position would scare me. But they can't, they can't write laws, that's congress's job. They can't interpret them, that's the supreme court's job. They can't start wars without congress's approval. Even executive orders can just be overriden.

People need to stop acting like the president is the king. Quite frankly it doesn't matter what they say because the legislative branch calls the shots, and nothing about them is changing. It's the same assholes that have always been in power, and even if Trump was genuine about wanting to shake everything up, that would mean literally nothing if congress decided to impede him at every turn.
>>
>>87478524
This. The only thing a president can actually do is install a handful of specified legislators and veto bills, unless said bill has a certain amount of votes, in which case the president can't do jack shit.

Exactly. The current mood of Trump supporters is that all politicians are bad, burn it all down and start over.

There's very few justices in the SC's history that stay hardlined on one political stance in all issues. People are chosen for the court generally because they are someone that looks at both sides of the issue.

Even Scalia, who was one of the most hardline conservative justices ever, made liberal decisions from time to time. Like the time he defended flag burning.
>According to Johnson, burning an American flag qualified as “expressive conduct” protected by the First Amendment. At oral argument, Dallas County Assistant District Attorney Kathi Alyce Drew defended Texas’ law by insisting that the American flag is “this nation’s cherished property,” and must be protected from individual desecrators. Scalia seemed baffled; “I never thought that the flag I owned is your flag,” he told Drew. To illustrate the arbitrary nature of Texas’ flag-protection law, Scalia then attempted to divine what other “cherished” symbols the state might protect from desecration. “I was going to ask about the state flower,” Scalia scoffs—and the courtroom erupts into laugher.

Because we're hypocrites about making it easy to vote.

You hear people for example demanding voter ID laws. Which would be fine, except the types of ID accepted is very limited (no school or prison ID but gun ID a-OK), the locations and hours of ID centers are limited if you're poor, and good luck getting it all if you're poor AND don't have all the paperwork due to growing up in a non standard way.

We also have concerns of rigged centers, yet turn down organizations like the UN which do have extensive practice in the area of voter oversight.

Hell we just had supreme courts shoot down rules in the Carolinas and I think Alabama that were repealing voter rights after it was found the states were abusing the hell out of them. Things like holidays will for the most part be a pipe dream.

So, a non-citizen.

>We also have concerns of rigged centers, yet turn down organizations like the UN which do have extensive practice in the area of voter oversight.

>They're literally free if you can't afford the minimal surcharges it normally takes.
Its not the price anon. Its the hours and proof. If I'm poor and work a shit job, that means every hour I work is vital to putting food on the table. However my local ID center (forget the department) has closed down and I don't have a means of getting their to start the paper work suffle. I'm fucked or going to need to plan out way in advance a means to get there. Something I'm not likely to do if I'm working two+ jobs and pay check to pay check. This was actually a problem in Alabama when the state closed a shit load departments which just "happened" to be in poor/rural areas.

>So, a non-citizen.
Or the elderly. It was relatively recently (~50-60 years) that the paperwork used in births became standard. Before that if you born at home or to midwives documentation of you was sketchy. For example your "official" birth certificate could have your name spelled completely different than what you used all your life. I've had this happened to my grandmother who'd of been screwed on her own and just recently a coworker who was applying for a visa.

The problem the right has is that it fails to see that money isn't the only problem in its suggestions.

According to crime rates are divorce statistics, the first anon is objectively correct.
The second one is merely pointing out what was already stated, with nothing dismissing people who date outside their race; only the way overdone bm/ww meme, which is so overdone in Marvel comics that it's reached shitty trope tier, like the old fashioned "black dude dies first".

I have no idea where you're getting the latter from, and makes me wonder exactly who you hang around to believe that's the way a normal person would interpret his post.

>>
>>87482299
Miscegenation literally just means "the interbreeding of people considered to be of different racial types.".

The definition, nor his post, make any claim on whether doing that is good or bad.

I think you're trying to find racism where it doesn't exist, while projecting you're triggered state by constantly claiming that everyone else is "triggered".
