honestly the only wrong answer is suicide squad, but I'm interested in what /co thinks
>>
Deathstroke
>>
>>87453554
I like Blue Beetle

Hard Mode:
No Young Animal
>>
Aquaman. Teen Titans is off to a good start but still too early to tell.
>>
>>87453554

Superman. While I know there are a few Superbro fans I feel like Superman hasn't been this good in sooooo fucking long.
>>
>>87453554
I'll go for most improved Red Hood and the Outlaws. I'm actually enjoying reading it this time around!
>>
>>87453554
I like King Batman
>>
>>87454033

This. My most hated writer is putting out the rebirth comic I'm most excited for. I dont understand.

They're all good except for Justice League and Suicide Squad ironically.
>>
Redpill me on Titans
>>
Deathstroke and Wonder Woman are GOATish must read, Nightwing, Aquaman and Superman are amazing.
>>
>>87455129
Terrible art but it's basically a DC Rebirth inspired take on the Black Flash arc, more or less, which was really good.

Kadabra's a very fun villain to follow along with.
>>
Gonna toss in a cheeky vote for Hal Jordan & the Green Ladtern Crew
>>
>>87457228
Same, the last few issues have been fantastic
>>
>>87453554
I'm not following too many of the Rebirth books because I wasn't as hyped as everyone else by the reboot, but out of the books that I'm following Detective Comics is probably my favorite if only for the hood work that's being done with Clayface, the rest of the cast I really couldn't give a fuck about, but Basil and Cass have managed to keep the title on my pull list.
>>
>>87457228
I'm kind of amazed at how much better it has been, considering it's still Venditti. This pleases me as a life long GL fan. Green Lanterns has been a pleasant surprise as well.

My vote would be Superman. I don't remember the last time I enjoyed Supes this much.
>>
New Super-Man and Deathstroke are interchangeable for top spot.
>>
>>87453963
I like Superbro as a character, but Rebirth Superman as a whole has been superior.
>>
If you take Young Animal into account, Shade the Changing Girl has been extremely well done.

Just looking at DC titles, I'm quite fond of New Super-Man and Deathstroke.

Basically it's the Wally book we've been wanting back for years guest starring the now-adult founding Teen Titans (and Lilith for whatever reason). It would be the best Rebirth book if not for Booth on art.
>>
Hey got a question for you.
I'm a long time comics reader, since the 80s in fact, but I've been reading only Marvel.
Cause back when I was a kid, markets in my country, weren't selling any DC comics.
So I grew up reading Marvel comics then grew out of it and then recently got back to it cause muh nostalgia.

However I find Marvel now to be extremely disappointing and I keep hearing how DC's Rebirth is very good. So I decided I should try it.
I never actually read a DC comic book before. I've only seen some of the movies based on them. I don't know anything about DC outside of the movies.
So if I pick up #1 Rebirth issues, do I get a complete story or do they expect me to know what's what and who's who from their previous runs and say, when they make a reference of something from way back when, I'm supposed to catch up with it?
>>
>>87453554
New Super-Man.
Generally I'm not too big on Rebirth though. Most of my DC pull is Young Animal/Flintstones/Sixpack and Dogwelder.
>>
>>87461340
good taste
best YA is Shade followed by Super Powers back-ups
I don't really like Way's writing
>>
New Super-Man.
>>
>>87453554
>honestly the only wrong answer is suicide squad
No, there are about 30 wrong answers.
>>
>>87461366
>Super Powers back-ups
What a meme thing to say. It looks great, but it's only a few pages so far. Overrating it is a sign of pleb.
>>
>>87461202
You need to read the DC Universe Rebirth one shot, you won't understand much, but that is not a problem.
The Rebirth issues are supposed to show the current status quo of the character, but some writers just used them to start the first arc.
There have been tons of references to the past of the DC Universe in the Rebirth books, but almost none is essential to enjoy the story

>So if I pick up #1 Rebirth issues, do I get a complete story or do they expect me to know what's what and who's who from their previous runs and say, when they make a reference of something from way back when, I'm supposed to catch up with it?
No, they're mostly understandable without any of that. A lot of issues have "[Title]: Rebirth" one-shots that act as an "issue #0" before "[Title] Rebirth #1". It's annoying as shit.

Turns out all Scott Lobdell needed was a goofy character like Bizarro to balance out his tendency to drift toward grimdark.
>>
It's a tie for first with Superman, New Super-Man, and Deathstroke. Green Arrow and Aquaman are just below them. There are very few Rebirth books I consider bad.
>>
>>87461404
>>87461405
That's very good to know.
Thanks, guys
>>
>>87453595
This. Every other answer is wrong.
>>
>>87462080
>>87453595

I think it needs more narration boxes, it's kind of hard to follow at times due to this fact. Sometimes I feel as if I'm not completely inside Deathstroke's head. Like, imagine if Scott Lobell was writing this title instead of Priest, I bet it would be a much more compelling read.

>all Scott Lobdell needed was a goofy character like Bizarro to balance out his tendency to drift toward grimdark.

That's a criticism I've never heard of Lobdell, if anything his books are too goofy at times with lots and lots of quips. His main issue to me has always been power inflation, so rather than just being a killer vigilante trained by a subgroup of the league of Assassins, he made him the chosen one of the Allcast with blood powered swords. Roy became a rockabilly genius who could invent anything with just a paperclip. He restrains this (keeps the narration boxes down) and carries on with the interesting story and he's set.
>>
>>87453595
correct
>>
>>87457228
It's been surprisingly enjoyable especially after how much I disliked Venditti's previous GL stuff
>>
>>87461023
Do you have any of these download links for Deathstroke, New Superman, and Kings Batman?
