The idea is good, but as always the age of 2010+ makes itself obvious with the piss-poor flash animation, terrible voice acting and boring meme writing.

Yet another 2000s "adult" comic-book esque cartoon. I recognize the art style. Looks like TMNT 2003, CyberSix and Batman Beyond.
It's a rarity now in the year 2016, but nothing that hasn't been done before.
I hope 2020+ will finally give us actual mature cartoons for intelligent people, not wannabe edgy teenagers.

The only videos that exists for Katbot was in its web-series format. The Disney version would have been more professionally animated, but they cancelled it mid-development. This image is literally the only thing Disney ever put out to the public.

Anyone remember the voting thing Cartoon Network did for a few years? Billy and Mandy, KND, and Megas XLR were the winners. Whatever happened to Robot Jones? also eventually got picked up, but there were plenty of pilots from that that never went anywhere. They did continue to play them every once in a while as "cartoon cartoon shorts"

Nope. The third year actually changed name from "The Big Pick" to "Cartoon Cartoon Weekend Summerfest" but there were three. Bag Boy was from the third year as well actually. KND was still in production at that point though, so they did show a sneak peek during it. Maybe that's what you're thinking of.

Larry and Steve was more lighthearted and geared towards younger folks, probably 8-14 but with humor appreciable by the 16-21 year old babysitters. More antics, more slapstick, more cartoon.

Family Guy is autistic 'adult' situations padded heavily by cutaways and "Remember when..." or "Like that time with X and Y doing Z?" and heavy political/social/anti-religious in-your-face shit with that underlying tone of narcissism that makes one enjoy a show less?

I really don't see the big deal about 99% of the pilots /co/ creams their pants over. I don't think a Modifyers or Kitty Bobo series would have been that great

Seasons 1-3 of Family Guy kind of had that Larry and Steve-ish humor and feel though

There were still some cringeworthy jokes, but the humor seemed to be more based on witty dialogue and the show had a fairly light-hearted feel (compared to the later seasons which have lots of gore and characters being dicks to one another)

When the show came back in 2005, that's when it started to diverge from what it used to be
