I never understood what was the point of the book. And I never understood what the book wanted to be.

I enjoyed having a book that told stories about Spidey fighting his classic villains, in mostly classic outfits and the one shot stories. It was very refreshing to read a book that wasn't 6 issue arcs. I did hate the modernization though.
