So the woman Wanda thought was her mother was actually some Gypsy woman who adopted her from her real parents, Magneto and his wife, but no, she was her real mother after all, but no, she was her aunt and her real mother was someone else we never heard of before.

Where Miss America and the Whizzer fit in all this I don't know.

The whole reason Wanda and Pietro were retconned into being Roma/Gypsy in the first place is so their dad could use magic dolls to trap their souls, because in comic books, Gypsy = magic.

Amazing how names are destiny in comics. I don't think Lee & Kirby intended the name "Scarlet Witch" as anything except a cool mutant name, but because of the name, she's been involved in magic/witch stories since at least the early '70s.

Throw in Doom's mother and others I'm forgetting, and gypsy/Roma witches in comics are almost as common as science geniuses.

Magneto is still their dad in just about every X-Men adaptation (including all the X-Men cartoons and the X-Men movie version of Quicksilver). I just can't see how that won't influence a new generation of writers and editors, once the movie boom is over, to go back to what they know.

Of course by then cape comics will probably be read by about 5 people in the world, but those 5 people will want to see Magneto as their dad again.
