Are they going to bring Mephisto into this? Because Mephisto is supposed to come from/be the "power gem" of the Infinity Gems and I think it would be a missed opportunity for them not to connect all those dots in the MCU too, considering how much they've played on the gems/stones already.

blah blah blah, some shit happens, Johnny Blaze shows up, tells Robbie that he is not a ghost rider, and is just possessed by an evil spirit or some shit, Robbie gets a bit mad, then goes "ill use this power for good" or some shit like that.

Then Blaze rides off into the hellish sunset or something.

I think one of the more subtle reasons this show is so enjoyable is because you really don't have many expectations or pre conceived notions of existing characters. Pretty much anything can happen and they can try to do whatever they want (within obvious bounds)

I think the problem is Hollywood's typical ego on the subject, that TV is below the Big Screen and if you're doing Big Screen stuff you can't go back down that ladder. But that doesn't make any sense if you're trying to create and sell this product of a shared universe.

B) We already have this with other shows/movies. Like Firefly, Entourage, Sex and the City... etc. These are all movies that picked up where the shows left off and you need to see the shows to really understand the movies. I don't see how that concept can't transfer to the MCU.

No, it's literally because TV and movies work on different schedules. A TV show episode spends a lot less time in pre and post production, and a hell of a lot less time in production, meaning the day it makes it to screen for the first time is a lot closer to the day it was written than for a movie.

TLDR if Avengers 3 comes out the exact same day as an episode of Agents of SHIELD you can guarantee the movie was written at least a year before the episode was.

This is why the show can react to the movies but not the other way around.
