Let me tell you the tale of Minky Momo, the most fuck up magical girl in history

For those who don´t know here is a brief synopsis, Minky Momo or Gigi in the USA is the princess of fairytale land, and is sent to earth to bring hope to the humans because her kingdom runs on humans good feeling or something.

What does makes this series so fuck up well here are some examples.

In the first episode she brainwash a couple of humans to act as her parents on earth. she just enter on their house makes them think she is their daughter and makes her room on the attic and no body point out how creepy this is.

In every episode she transform into an adult version of herself and becomes whatever the plot needs her to be (police officer, doctor, cheerleader) the henshin sequence sees this under age girl loosing her clothes and growing older (like chibi moon into black lady) but with more nudity.

In one episode a kid wishes his workaholic dad could have time for him so she becomes a bussines rival and makes him lose his job.

A bunch of guy lust after her adult persona, they don´t know she is actually under age but still is kind of creepy.

There is an episode that is kind of like the first toy story but in the end the house catches fire and the toys die protecting their "Andy"

On the second to last episode Gigi losses her powers, she is broody that episode and the first half of the next one, subsequently decides that she is going to enjoy her life as a normal human and promptly gets run over by a truck and dies.

The "happy" ending at the end of the series is that she got reincarnated as the daughter of her fake parents.

I've danced this dance before. I'm assuming you're arguing that since you don't exist in your waifu's fictional world and that she may have a crush on some canon character in the story that it's nonsensical to let their sexual orientation restrict making them your waifu.

Meanwhile for me my argument has always been that there has to be some semblance of believably in a fictional character you crush on and that having them be almost assuredly a lesbian makes it impossible to breach that barrier of believably that you could woo this character in some made up fantasy.

I understand your side has merits. After all, we waifu things like super powered ninjas and the truth is they probably wouldn't be interested in a boring internet dweller like us anyways. Sexual orientation is the line I draw in the sand though. It's changing way to big of an aspect of the character in order to make them yours.

Not to mention that the way female-female love is treated in manga and anime is not equivalent to how things are in American society. In pre-war Japan girls were encouraged to have platonic romantic relationships with each other, and that was not considered homosexuality.
