If you want a serious answer, because literally nothing has been made that's as epic, or well directed or which has a more extensive cast of interesting characters. I wish there was some other animated series that I could say was better than anything in the genre, but I've yet to find anything at all.

If Freakazoid was a magical girl show, it would just be the same show but he's be dressed as some Sailor Moon looking fuck. Nothing would change except the outfit.
