Garnet's future vision makes her a little too willing to be laissez faire about Steven and a little dumb when she's only gauging ends.

Example - In the test they made, Garnet's trap room was far too difficult and gave away the fact that it was a sham test. By relying on future vision where she saw Steven came out 'happy' she completely screwed the pooch making her test.
