I honestly like her a lot, but her survival robbed the Vader comic of the emotional impact that it deserved. I still think the comic was fantastic and ended on a high note, but having her die would have made the comic a lot more powerful and memorable to fans.

I know Star Wars often tries to give all the nice characters a happy ending, but this was the Vader comic. If there was ever a time for a sad "inevitable" character death, it was here. Her upcoming comic could easily have been a prequel series before she met Vader. I mean, she is literally in the same position in life now, so why not?

It's possible they like her a lot and are planning on majorly expanding on her, much like Rae Sloane and the rumors of a live action Sana Starros. Let's hope her upcoming comic is at least worth it.

This is pretty much how I feel, her survival felt really cheap, for lack of a better word. I also don't think Aphra has a compelling enough story to warrant her own comic. Gillen didn't really impress me with Vader, the comic had a lot of great moments but also a lot of misfires and often felt inconsistent. I'm not particularly looking forward to another book by him, starring a character who I thought was alright but wasn't really drawn into.

I'm mean, I'm glad that the canon is growing and we're now seeing a comics-original character take the spotlight, but I'm not really enthused about an Aphra comic.

Why did Palpatine rescue Anakin? It's what I've always wondered about. Is it possible Sidious actually had some...affection for him?

Sith want the strongest possible apprentice. If Sheev had another guy lined up who would be a better candidate, he would've left Anakin there and just trained the other guy. He has no backup option at this point, so his best option is to salvage what he can and see if Vader turns out to be good, even crippled and half-dead. Vader isn't as strong as he could have potentially become, but he's still the strongest possible apprentice he could have given the circumstances. It's not until he finds out about Luke that Sheev starts thinking it's time to ditch Vader.

Dooku also beat Anakin's master several times, and Anakin still killed him... right before Obi-Wan mutilated him. I wouldn't put too much stock in "X won against Y, therefore he's stronger than Z!" because most duels we see have a lot of other factors in them.

Plus Maul hasn't actually beaten Obi-Wan in a duel. The closest he came was when they had the four-way fight with Savage and Ventress, which ended with Obi-Wan and Ventress fleeing.

Anakin was wicked strong in the force, literally the chosen one born in an immaculate conception from the force itself.

What Sheev needed was Padme dead so that Anakin had enough grief to channel into the dark side without the actual distraction of a loving wife and kids to drag him away from the Dark Side's pull.

Its pretty much a win win for Sheev. He gets complete control over Anakin, a force user of immense power, and his sweet new robot body can be specifically designed with failsafes in mind should he get uppity.

I know that the Sith rule of two means that the apprentice must one day kill the master, but somehow I don't see Sheev buying into that particular aspect.

He's been shown in nucanon to take pride in the thought of Vader scheming against him, so he definitely still believes that part of the Sith way. He also feels it's incumbent on him to never show weakness in front of his apprentice.

The Sith have a really weird "FUCK YOU HOW DARE YOU KILL ME... good job, I knew I trained you well" mentality when it comes to succession.

Just speculation on my part but that probably wasn't the only Rebel base and the plans were important enough to risk it being found, as they were pretty used to packing up and running quickly. I imagine once they got the plans their they copied them and sent them to other bases and once they saw the weakness in the Death Star they decided to stay and fight and try to take it out.

For all the good that we got from TCW, there's still a lot of bad. I personally hated the character models. They just looked like George took Genndy's Clone Wars and fed them through a shitty computer scanner.

They got better later on. Season 1 models were definitely heavy on the Genndy influence, but they started getting less weird as the show went on. They gave Dooku an upgrade that made him SLIGHTLY less alien looking, which I think was their way of recognizing that they'd gone too far with his model, but they couldn't do a radical overhaul of his design because it would look weird for Dooku to suddenly look normal after three seasons of looking like a totem pole.

I initially hated TCW, then grew to appreciate it. Some of the heavier episodes and arcs are God-Tier.

I very much prefer Rebels though. I like the artsyle, even if people here keep saying it's cheap, and I feel like even though it's a bit more "kid-friendly" compared to TCW, the writers obviously didn't lose their skill between series.

I was never a fan of Tom Kane's Yoda. Or really, any character Tom Kane played. He has absolutely no range. He's not like Corey Burton, whose Dooku I didn't like but I felt he did a fantastic job with every other voice he did, Tom Kane is just not a good actor. Even his newsreel announcer sounded more like a parody of one.

It's more a Legends topic of discussion, but while it's said not all Sith are evil, is it true just being one or a dark sider in general is most certainly going to ruin your life?

Most Sith lords meet terrible and painful deaths or downfalls, and the ones that do find peace in the end don't EVER die as dark side users but convert to the light or cast out the dark side.

In Legends, there was Darth Vectivus who was just a normal dude. Dooku was relatively normal too, as was Exar Kun. Both showed little 'obvious' signs of dark side corruption. Then there's TOR Sith like Lana who aside from the yellow eyes are 100% a-okay.

I think a lot of it depends on mentality. Making a sudden turn to the dark side will fuck you up mentally and likely physically. Just gradually learning it up and training, basically taking the 'long path' even if its for the Dark Side should leave you just fine. Again, look at Dooku.
