Anyone else get kind of sad when they think of Homestuck? It started out so well. The characters were good, the story was unique and interesting, the game of SBURB was really fun to delve deeper into. Aside from the music and a few specific shots, Hussie was the only person making it, it was his show.

Then things just plummeted downhill without warning. The characters became bland, Hussie himself stopped really doing any of the artwork; the entire last stretch of the comic had nothing done by Hussie himself. It's like seeing a beautiful, towering cake get mud thrown all over it. Or something.

It just makes me sad about what Homestuck was, and could have been were it not for this quality decline.

It'd be better if he just made her see her dancestor's relationship with Mituna and be frightened off of the idea of romance in general. It was one of the strongest and longest in keeping up its quality. Even then, I think the music faltered a little starting after Vol. 8, and Vol. 9 was the last good one, with One Year Older having a couple listenable pieces. They lost their original charm of simple tunes and try to go "big" with orchestral pieces. Except the orchestra is still a synth so it sounds like shit, and anything else were tired resamplings, not even remakes or remixes. Music was the last to go in quality, and when that went bad, I knew for sure Homestuck had no chance of return.
