Archie Eggman would fit in either universe surprisingly well. Brilliant mad scientist, able to go from goofy to fucking terrifying on the drop of a hat, and actually a genuine threat once he gets momentum. Like how he conquered 99% of the world from practically nothing, or how in his universe he managed to kill Sonic and friends. Or him rewriting the world by himself, and nearly rewriting the multiverse with Wily, before successfully destroying most of the Archie Sonic multiverse and half of his rivals by accident, it works. (The destruction of the multiverse by accident needs some explaining. He was trying to pull a "If I can't win, no one can!", he just expected to only take Sonic and his world with him, not most of the multiverse and half the cast. Of course, the actual reason was a lawsuit, but canonically it was because of Eggman.)

His code of honor is helping all those in need. How is that outdated? I could even argue today's society could use a lot more of that.

About black and white morality, I see where you're coming from but I still don´t think Jack has that mentality. If he did, when Da Samurai busted in bullying everyone he would have sliced him like cheese. Instead, he took all of his abuse until he couldn´t put up with his bullshit anymore, took him out and gave him a lesson in humility by beating him in combat. He then said that Da Samurai could do good, but he was misguided.
People with a mindset of Black and White morality wouldn´t do that.
