Cottonmouth's death was a surprising twist, but a twist that should not have happened. He was the most sympathetic villain out of all the Netflix shows and you could see how he never asked for events to turn out this way.

They were completely unable to have Mariah do anything to surpass Cottonmoth's death, so despite all the talk of her becoming Mama Mabel, it kind of just felt like talk.

Diamondback was fun and all, but the fact that he and Cottonmouth were never onscreen together made him feel like he was shoehorned in to act as a replacement Cottonmouth, down to him being on the balcony of the club listening to the music just like Cottonmouth.

The way the villains dealt with Luke wasn't very creative, just getting a bullet that can kill a bulletproof guy. They went as far as to mention drowning and poisoning attempts, and that would have been a great thing for Mariah to have done late season to put Luke in mortal danger, but he was almost never in danger then anyway.
