I feel so conflicted. I want to support the show so we can have more episodes and explore the characters and some hell related stuff. But I also vowed never to give money to Disney because they're evil. Then again it's not 3D animated or a live TV series either so the hipster in me would want to support 2D animation. Can't really afford a TV license right now and even if I did it'd be practically worthless because I stopped watching TV completely like ten years ago. I just finished watching season 1.
It's not a bad show, but I really had to force myself through most of the season. I'm not sure whether to proceed with season 2 now, or save it for later (if at all). So I have some questions, and I don't mind spoilers.

1. Does it become better? As in, has less silly fillers and more episodes like St Olga's Reform School and Storm The Castle.
2. Will there be more lore? So far there is so little of it.
3. Will the chances of Starco happening increase? This may sound like a petty reason, but the possibility of Starco is one of the main things that keeps me watching. I'm disappointed that he's still trying to get the attention of that random girl from school when there is a cool magical alien girl living right in his house.
3. Is Marco going to crossdress again? I've seen way too much fanart of it for it to be just some one-time gag. Don't judge me.

Going by the reactions of people in these threads, there was a lot of general dislike for most of the first half of what we got so far (with some exceptions.) But somewhere along the way the episodes begin to increase in quality and become overall more consistently good.

To be honest I'm not perfectly sure what even is filler in this season. Some episodes that file as "filler" seem to be leading up to something bigger. There are definitely a few non filler ones though.

Not exactly a petty reason, it's actually very common and people, shippers or not, all more or less agree Star and Marco have a tight dynamic.

Honestly, if the finale didn't convince you that the show is actually much better than it appears at first, I'm not sure anything will.

1. The formula, such that it is, stays the same. Big and meaningful episodes are few and far between, but there's more than in season 1.
2. Yes and no. There's little straight-forward exposition, it's all hints and clues presented in a way that is engaging.
3. Yes. But that is no surprise, this is the end-game this series has been building up to since episode 1.
4. He hasn't yet, but it's been build-up heavily so he will at some point, probably in the mid-season finale like in season 1.

1. About half the episodes so far don't leave an impact on the main characters' situation but provide character development for the main two and tertiary characters alike. Oskar and Tom and especially Janna get the chance to shine in some episodes. The humor overall becomes sharper, less "random" at the expense of some fluidity of the animation, though there's plenty of gags still.
2. I get lost in the number of definitions there are for "lore", but as for symbolism there's plenty of it, especially in episodes centered on Ludo.

1-2 There are more silly episodes than serious ones at the moment but it definitely looks like they are preparing for more episodes that will expand the lore. As a previous anon has said the first 6 eps of the first season could give you an idea about svtfoe's formula. I say stick around and the cutesy stuff will grow on you.

3 There has been a lot of teasing for starco. I can tell you that whatever happens to them they'll definitely stay close. In the meantime just enjoy the HUGS, there's one like almost every episode.

4 Hard to say, but my gut tells me that we will see Princess Marco again sometime. Miss Heinous is still hunting him for inciting a riot.

Based on my experiences, anger is fine to bottle up as long as you don't KEEP it bottled. I was a very angry kid for a multitude of reasons, but I consciously went out of my way NOT to use it to justify being an asshole. I just kept it bottled until it was time to workout in PE. Or mow the lawn. Or work the mitts/heavybag in the local boxing gym, etc.

Using anger as an excuse to lash out is bad. Bottling it up till it destroys you is bad. Acknowledging it, controlling it in the moment, then using it later as fuel for constructive and/or harmlessly cathartic things is a healthy way to deal with it, IMO.
