These are the main characters of a story I’ve had in the works for a long time (and keep changing).

She's a ginger, he's a jap. Together they fight crime. And by crime I mean demons

Posting these two again cause I never really elaborated.

They share a cave on the edge of some tourist-trap mountain town, a'la Gravity Falls but a bit more populated. Think Pigeon Forge in TN.

The bat is a shut in who spends the entire day watching TV and playing games (all of which were obtained from the local dump).

The bear likes to get out more. She regularly goes up the hill by the cave where this old couple lives to steal their chickens (and on ocassion, the wife's frilly dresses).

The bear tries to cook these chickens and can not accept the fact that she's a terrible chef who always burns them (though she still eats it anyway cause that's how she likes it). The bat flip-flops between eating it out of courtesy and cooking the chickens himself.

Have a Goblin Girl i created a year or so ago, and just recently felt like drawing more of. She has metal stuff bolted to her jawbone, because thats what passes for fashion amongst goblings in my mind´s setting. (I think of goblins as having a deep understanding of and involvement with the processing of metal, and their skeletons are basically iron. They are natural smiths and decent engineers)

That doesn't really rectify the issue really. The point is red on red is gross. As for what color you should change it too, I can't really tell you. But I can say, don't make it red.

I was one of those psuedo-autistic kids in school that ignored most of the lecture and drew Sonic shit all over my worksheets because I was bored. Sadly, this built up a subconscious symbol library that made it so I only knew how to draw Sonic-like proportions and tendencies well. I'm terrible at everything else.

He lives in a treehouse in the woods, near a huge futuristic city called Oceana. Basically Spider-Man without the spider powers, he jumps around and helps people in trouble while dodging the authorities, because heroism is retroactively banned. He uses his jacket as a cape to glide, like Mario in Super Mario World. Besides that, I can't keep a consistent backstory without overhauling it because I'm extremely unoriginal.

Why not make the hoodie + cape a cloak with a hoodie? Something like what a mage has? Also for colors, if you're totally drawing on a blank, you could look at color palettes online for ideas:

Sometimes what helps me is to take my character and wildly change the scheme using slider tools on Photoshop or GIMP.

They end up making a huge mess of clashing colors but it'll help give you some nice ideas like maybe one of these makes you wanna give your character purple hair or skin, or maybe you want to try a mostly blue palette.

Yes, although not as huge as in that pic you posted. Nagaly is human-size. She was one of the main characters of an old webcomic I drew. Only one chapter. I'm often considering rebooting it and start over, because I really liked the characters and general plot.

Here's a sketch of the true main character of said webcomic: Azazel, a failed, clumsy thief who happens to find Nagaly's gang by accident. Instead of killing him, Nagaly sees potential on a HUMAN member so the group can gather intel within city walls. Thus, Nagaly offers Azazel a job for life: join the gang, or die.

It *is* a job for life.

Okay, so I see you using multiples in or to convey the speed of the downward action. However, I don't think it's doing enough to demonstrate the kind of action that you're looking for. For this character in particular, I think you need to focus more on the squash and stretch. The stretched smear going in to the action looks very quick and smooth, but it's interrupted by frame 16, where it feels a little overloaded by the multiples. It may work better to stretch the facial features in the fast action, instead of using multiples. If any of that made sense.
