So, speculations on how the rest of the war will play out and theories on what will come in the follow up?


Maggie will die in The Whisperer War part 6, Negan will kill her because she tries to kill or because she gets bit or something and pleads with Negan to put her out of her misery. Negan raises Hershel while becoming new leader of The Hilltop/Alexandria. The Kingdom impressed with how William is handling things decide to offer a coalition run government between the two, William and The Savior's representative agree to such terms and begin to work with Negan. Negan proves himself to be a hero in The Whisperer War that Alexandrians and The Hilltop don't mind being led by him again after seeing he's truly changed.

Rick will either become a walker and be imprisoned, kind of like what The Gov did to chained up Penny and will be looked after by Negan who uses him to seek advice on certain matters on how to run both The Hilltop and Alexandria.

Followers of Rick Grimes, instructed by Eugine who gives them the co-ordinates to Stephanie's people go on a long winded exodus to Ohio, disguising themselves as Walkers using methods The Whisperers did. Carl takes lead of the group and eventually becomes leader of the Ohio community. After preparing things for a while he decides to go back to Alexandria leading an army of people disguised as walkers so they won't be noticed to take back the communities and for Carl to finally once and for all fulfill his promise in #127 of killing Negan.
