The quick tl;dr is that we're following a different rick and morty now after a switch up at the jerryboree, if it's the same ticket theory I've seen in the past. I think the main argument behind it is that one, we've seen them jump universes before and know there are copies, and two, by the end of the jerryboree scene we have sort of "lost" our Rick and morty and just assume our leads are the same ones theyve always been, though the theory is we have been following a different R and m since that point

What solidified it for me is that Mr Poopy Butthole was watching the final episode so he must have one of those multidimensional television boxes and was watching the main Rick. Krombopulos Michael didn't die in his universe but Morty was still given his card

... then it immediately cuts to Rick and Morty at home with Morty saying how crazy it is that they broke Rick out of prison and drove the Galactic Federation off of Earth and Rick telling him to stop making a big deal out of it.

The rest of the episode is about something completely unrelated and the prison break is never brought up again.

Rick isn't native to that timeline, so if he can prove he isn't the Rick that committed all those crimes he'll get off scot-free. All of Rick's crimes were committed against an alternate Federation.
