Sorry guys, I'm usually the Anon that bumps the thread in those times of the day, but I've been a little busy with other stuff. Expect this thread to last until bump limit this time.

We're about to write part 7's first leg of the race, things have been going pretty well so far

Things will probably get better towards the end of the year.
>>
Ok, let's recapitulate

>>87157722
None of the protagonists get a Stand until the end of the US stage, Pym get his Stand from a Jawbreaker and develop an ability from the Corpse part in France, while Hex get his Stand from the Corpse's eye

>>87154233
So far Mirror Master, V and Aunt May are our confirmed members of the Brotherhood of Dada
>>
It's been a while since I really got into this again. So, what's the endgame here? Is that one guy that was making a comic still alive? What's the deal?
>>
>>87169997
Yes, I think he's still making the comic, but he said part 6 was too lighthearted and had too much forced memeys. So we are trying to make part 7 more serious and more gory than the average /Co/Co/.

Endgame is described perfectly in the part 7 doc. I'm looking foward to it, at least.
>>
>>87169997
>what's the endgame here?
Make stories based on JoJo in a setting with /co/ characters, we are currently working on part 7

>Is that one guy that was making a comic still alive?
Yes, but it been awhile since the last update
>>
>>87170097

Well, I mean I did work on this a lot when it first started out. I just don't know how much has changed. I see a lot of characters and Stands were changed or taken away.

What happens when all the Parts are outlined?
>>
>>87169847
And I'm the anon who had the last three posts of last thread and has been pitching ideas to an empty thread it seems.

>>87169940
So the bag of stand jawbreakers is the prize for getting to CN City first.
Maybe Mirror Master tells him the prize will be given to him later since there are some complicated matters surrounding it, so Pym doesn't get that prize until they're outside of the US and on Fantastic Island because it'd be illegal otherwise.

Dr. Henry Killinger is also a confirmed member of Mr. Nobody's inner circle.
>>
>>87170427
>What happens when all the Parts are outlined?
They are written in depth, part 1, 2 and 5 are the ones that are for the most part complete.

>I see a lot of characters and Stands were changed or taken away.
I think that happened mostly in part 6, since it went through a major overhaul.

>>87170754
So he gets the bag while he's onboard the Iron Vulture?
>>
>>87170820

Alright, cool.

So, what exactly in Part 7 is being worked on right now?
>>
>>87170820
I'd say part 6 is also for the most part complete, save for that under the jail bit.

Yes, he gets the back after they've left the USA. If he gets it while on board the Iron Vulture that should be a testament to just how much Mr. Nobody has paid Don Karnage for this job since an entire bag of stand jawbreakers can sell for millions.
>>
>>87171215
Well right now I think we're still hashing out the factions and motives, trying to make sure we'll be able to balance everything that everyone else is doing without overshadowing the main characters too much.

Currently I'm just adding any major stuff from last thread to the doc.

I think in this thread we could work on some of the interviews with the racers before the first leg of the race starts.

Gee Anon, are you sleeping well?

Also, I thought we could include some more cities from comics so here's a map I found with some DC locations. We could relocate some of them if we need to.

I'd like to have the characters pass through weird gotham city shenanigans as a reference to that thread in pic related.
>>
>>87171215
Phase 1 to Aberdale needs specifics. All we know is that Spongbob "Dity Dan" Squarepants is a top racer, Dan Backslide gets fucked over and works with Loki, Dick Dastardly finishes top 20. Other racers that finish top 20 should be noted, I suggest the wizard, cyber six, pym and hex, wander and sylvia, jack and shocker, of course not in that specific order
>>
>>87169575
more like /Co/Co/'s dead thread haha
>>
>>87171531
I think Shocker should reach the checkpoint before Pym and Hex, since he crippled Hex horse and Pym was delayed for picking Hex.
>>
>>87171836
I think the board is just going faster than normal, prolly the run up to halloween.
>>
You guys really love embarrassing yourselfs.
Reminds me how those Hunger Games faggots kept trying to have their games here. Just stop trying to push a dead meme.
>>
>>87172228
Beneath this mask there is more than flesh... Beneath this mask, there is an idea, Mr. Anon... and ideas. Are. Bulletproof.
>>
>>87172228
Pfft! You seriously think you can stop us now?
>>
>>87172228
Isn't it past your bedtime.
>>
Who killed Spongebob?

>>87171285
The race could go through either Keystone City or Central City

>>87171221
Karnage could also be on Nobody's side after getting a clemency, like the racers, for providing his services (He would technically be a privateer of the US government)
>>
>>87171285
I was up late last night watching toonami, so I was keeping the thread up.

No one stepped in after me.

>>87171398
Any city they pass through they'll have to pass through in a hurry, there's no time for stationary plots to unfold between checkpoints.

>>87171531
I was thinking of that episode of the Simpsons where Homer hallucinates because of the hot peppers he ate. Loki should be doing something during that leg.

Dan Backslide would be taken care of before they ever leave the first check point.

I think you got your wording mixed up since all that stuff you're talking about is what we have planned for the first leg of the race from Hill Valley City to San Fransokyo.

We also need time limits for each leg.

>>87171847
I think Shocker should finish in 5th.

1st - Spongebob
2nd - Goofy
3rd -
4th -
5th - Shocker
Not sure past this though, but the next three should still finish in this order even if they're further back.
6th - Sylvia
7th - Wander
8th - Jack
-
17th - Dick

Where should Hex and Pym finish?

>>87173112
Goofy kills Spongebob and takes the left leg from him before it even merges with him.

However it's not going to be made apparent, there will be more than one person who could've done it leading to ambiguity about a handful of racers.
>>
>>87171267
>interviews
Whoever is doing that walks up to Spongebob on his rock, he's wiggling back and forth, dancing while sitting, singing "THE KRUSTY CRAB PIZZA, IS THE-" and then the interview person asks him "Mr.... Dirty Dan, you do realize your vehicle is a rock?" "The Pioneers used to ride these babies for miles!"
And when the race starts he plows right through a house with it.

And when his rock is at the finish line of the first check point, it's there like Patrick's rock in the snail race episode with Spongebob on top of it doing a victory screech.
>>
>>87173885
>Where should Hex and Pym finish?
Probably one of the last places, if not the last place. Rex could finish on 3rd or 4th place.

>>87174097
>Goofy is about to reach the first checkpoint, He congratulates himself for being on first place
>Then he notices a giant rock in the middle of the line, he wonders how the hell that thing got there
>Cut to Spongebob doing a victory screech surrounded by reporters
>>
>>87174276
Oh no, there are THOUSANDS of racers. They rank in the top 100 easy if there were just coming up on the bridge before Dick blew it up.

If anything Dick blowing up the bridge shot them up through the rankings since it took out or delayed a number of racers while Pym just pushed some buttons and hydrofoil'd his way across the bay.
>>
>>87174354
I meant among the first 20 racers, they could reach the first checkpoint in 20th place
>>
>>87174426
So 20th and 21st place then?

And so Pym receives one of the Varrick Industry shrinking capsules (awarded to the top 50) and begins his start of size obsession.

20th- Pym
21st- Hex

>17th - Dick
>18th- Navi
I don't remember these two.
>>
>>87174892
Dick Dastardly and Navi, undercover Interpol agent who can talk to computers or something
>>
>>87174491
There is a prize after each checkpoint, right? If one of those rewards is key for the plot then Hex and Pym should end among the top 50.

>>87174717
Yes, though I'm not sure if Rorschach is part of the race
>>
>>87174992
>I'm not sure if Rorschach is part of the race
Oh he probably isn't, he's just shadowing the more promising racers and occasionally going "Hrrm."

During the fight between Backslide and Spongebob, the latter should use Ocean Man to toss pieces of himself into Backslide's car, Dan believes that they do nothing until a copy of Spongebob appears in the backseat, and then another one, and another, until his car is full of Spongebobs that pester him and make him crash against something.
>>
>>87175905
>Dan's Random Runabout is about to crash into a rather large cactus.
>V (from the mask on the front of the runabout): "Curses!"
>The Random Runabout crashes.
>V gets a face full of cactus spines and Dan ends up head first in an owl nest...with a rather pissed off owl.
>>
>>87174916
Navis.

>>87174717
Yeah, sounds fair.

Well, I thought Rorschach was trying to not draw attention to himself, so maybe he's ranked further back.

>>87174992
The prize at the first check point for the first 50 racers is just a Varrick capsule, works like dino-caps from Dragon Ball.

Not sure what the first place prize is. Should be something special.

Also, we need to decide on how many points each place is worth.
>>
>>87176177
I'm thinking Rorschach races as Kovacs. Would draw less attention than a dude in an inkblot mask.
>>
>>87175986
>Dan punches one of the Spongebobs out of the car
>He rolls on the ground and is ran over by another competitor, cut to the shocked expresion of its driver
>next panel reveals a big puddle of water where the Spongebob was supposed to be.

>When Dan crashes, the Spongebobs are flung in all directions.
>>
what is the Wizard's Stand?
>>
>>87177344
We don't know.

It could be

>[PINBALL WIZARD] allows alt-verse Daffy to either control spherical objects for destructive purposes or can imbue other objects or people (including himself) with spherical qualities that allow them to ricochet off any surface (think Daffy bouncing off the walls doing the HOO HOOs).

OR

[THE WIZARD] (Act 1)
>Appearance: Wizard Daffy's staff.
>Ability: [BEHOLD THE WIZARD]: The Stand can manipulate probability to cause events that aid him, such as causing traffic lights to remain red for his opponents longer than they do for him. These are always minor enough to be dismissed as coincidences.
>Power: D
>Speed: D
>Range: B
>Durability: D
>Precision: A
>Potential: A

Stand: [THE WIZARD] (Act 2)
>Appearance: A crystal humanoid wearing an outfit resembling LeTerally's, but in the colors and style of Wizard Daffy's robes.
>Ability: [BEWARE HIS POWER]: The Stand can transform unliving (and living, but non-sapient) material to resemble the fantasy world of his imagination; landscape and buildings will become fantasy landscape, while cars, animals and other "mobile" objects will become monsters under the Wizard's control. The effect will spread out steadily from the Wizard's position up to the maximum range of his Stand, and will revert when he moves away.
>Power: A
>Speed: B
>Range: C
>Durability: B
>Precision: A
>Potential: D
>>
>>87177701
I can make an elaborate description of the first one (though we used Pinball Wizard for an arc in part 6). Are we still using the idea of 「CUBAN PETE」 as the Wizard's evolved Stand?
>>
>>87177920
I thought we were having Ace Venture from the cartoon have that stand.
>>
>「PINBALL WIZARD」 or 「PINBALL MASQUERADE」 (six nightmares at the pinball masquerade)
>Appearance: A greenish orb which contains an embryonic/fetal version of 「La Cucaracha」 crammed inside it that develops each time the Wizard absorbs a portion of Daffy’s identity. It can be concealed inside the crystal in the Wizard’s staff.
>Abilities: Allows the Wizard to take control of any spherical object in his range, objects affected by 「PINBALL WIZARD」 can be levitated at the user’s leisure as long as they remain inside the Stand’s field of action. Despite this limitation, the Wizard can shoot any sphere in his command at high speed.
>As an additional ability, 「PINBALL WIZARD」 can imbue objects and people (including his user) with spherical qualities, an object imbued is able to roll and ricochet off any surface independent of his natural shape.

>>87178124
The original idea was that the Wizard became the equivalent of alt-Diego with Cuban Pete as his Stand (though I have some reticence to bring back the original mask after what happened in part 1 and the Looniversity arc of part 5)
>>
>>87179038
The first take of an idea is fine and all, but I think we give them too much credit just for being the first take.

Things change, we already have 3 Daffys in this part now.
-Wizard
-Thug-abomination-Daffy (one stop location villain)
-Danger (minor role, nothing more than a cameo)

I think that's plenty without any of the mask stuff going into play.
And really, Jojo part 1 had a mask, but there was no mask in Jojo part 7 even though there was a new Dio.
>>
>>87179297
Does the abomination had an identity before transforming or is just a nameless mook?

>Danger (minor role, nothing more than a cameo)
Was there any fragment of Daffy's self inside Danger Duck after he awake? After the encounter with the Wizard when their eyes glow, he could comment about feeling a weight being lifted from him, hinting that the Wizard absorbed the traces of Daffy's identity
>>
>>87179443
I was thinking the mooks could be those gangsters from the Daffy Duck cartoon.
The one with Snake Eyes, Hammer Head, others. Daffy killed them all in that cartoon.

And there could've still been some traces left inside of Danger, the scenario you bring up works to our purposes.

>we need to decide on how many points each place is worth.
Well, here's the results of SBR first stage, use them as example
>>
>>87176338
So at what point would it be made apparent that he's Rorschach? When would Kovacs put on the ink blot mask?

When he's running around the check points looking for clues?
>>
>>87181066
We should probably have a further down cut off point for when points are awarded.

Like maybe the first 100 get points, but even though some racers could be in the final leg of the race with no points, they stay in it since they still have a shot at the Wishing Star.

The points are just there to figure out who gets the cash money prize at the end.
>>
>>87181080
Maybe in Aberdale, when he is investigating the racers that went missing in the forest, he put on the mask. After that, he puts on the mask whenever he gets serious (like when Pym spill the beans about the Corpse)
>>
>>87181189
So are they going to fight zombies in that town or what?

I pitched the idea, but I never got any feedback.

>>87181317
In Over the Garden Wall, the Beast turned people into trees. Maybe the Beast can animate the corpses that are still inside the trees.
>>
>>87181492
So zombie trees is what we want?

Zombie trees that grew out of coffins? Or have coffins embedded into them.
>>
>>87182593
why they need coffins?
>>
>>87182760
Wooden coffins with corpses in them that have been turned into zombie coffins.

As in the wood is now undead and growing using the corpse inside to grow again.
>>
>>87182948
So the coffins turned into the trees? does the oil that exudes from the edelwood turns the racers into more trees or zombies?
>>
>>87183329
Do you really think it should be able to turn others into zombies instead of just planting them in the ground?

Also keep in mind this is a one night encounter and, though terrifying and strange, the next morning the racers are off again.
>>
>>87173885
>No one stepped in after me
I'll try to deliver the Morning Bump consistently from now on though.

Also, are we going to include hazards for each location as well or are things going to be only about how the characters interact? Maybe some characters could set traps based on these surroundings too. It would be cool to have the locations matter in the race.

>>87182593
>>87182948
So could we use those Halloween-tier cliche monsters made from vegetables in there? Maybe some monsters from Nightmare Before Christimas, Gravity Falls, those characters from the OTGW pilot, Watermelon Stevens.

I can't think of any specific ones right now, but it goes like that, the beast can create halloween-tier life from plant stuff using some kind of oil (which could be used to mimic zombies too).
>>
>>87183635
>hazards
The whole reason why we have Dick Dastardly as someone Mr. Nobody hired is to do this so the race stays exciting.

From start to check point 1 there's industrial waste to worry about.

From check point 1 to 2 they have to go through a desert, so that's something to consider.

Check point 2 to 3 is pretty much roads and towns since there are a number of them across the USA.

Phase 2 start to checkpoint 4 is a water route, so waves are a thing, but there's also island hopping.

4 to 5 is across Spain and France.

5 to 6 is across central and eastern Europe, so mountains.

Phase 3 start to check point 7 (Rio) is an army, mountains, and jungles, so shit gets crazy.

We haven't decided on where check point 8 is yet. Possibly Cape Suzette.

And since you replied to me in all three of those and I need a way to break up what I'm replying to
>>87183635
I guess we could use those plant people. It's better than just turning people into zombies anyway.

The Beast's job to to protect its corpse parts, not go out and eat people.
>>
>>87183635
You mean natural hazards? yeah, I don't see why not, there was an idea some threads ago about having to deal with tidal waves during the Atlantic stage

>>87183977
I was considering the idea that Handsome Tulio could join the race while it goes through his country, and use it as an spectacle where he hunts down the racers.
>>
>>87184067
There was an idea last thread or the thread before about V playing a prominent role in taking Tulio down.
>>
>>87184171
Yes, also TOM's Space Oddity messing with Tulio's Stand.
I find the idea of a sculptural half-naked monkey chasing and pummeling background racers hilarious. What is the effect of the Hero's skull besides the handsomeness?
>>
>>87183977
>>87184067

I've been thinking on some things to make the location's stayings interesting without looking too forced or too deus ex machina, but nothing gold came yet. Here's some loose ideias.

>The race is pretty intrusive wherever it is located, so residents may try to counter react
>Hill Valley is having a civil war of the Valley vs the Hills ( probably sparked by Nobody)
>Springfield residents attack the racers with hunting riffles and weapons like that
>Gotham (and the race itself) is being attacked by Joker/other supervillain in a ridiculous way (think of 60's Joker usual plans)
>CN City are having some kaiju fighting with the powerpuff girls in there too

You guys said it should be a bloodbath, so here's an ideia, I just hope it doesn't get too much like Superjail in Part 6.

Also, I think it's fitting for us to include Halloween stuff at this time of the year. Also, can we cameo/include the Monster House (from that stop-motion/CGI movie) in the Beast part too?
>>
>>87184313
>sculptural half-naked monkey chasing and pummeling background racers

Super headbutts could be useful for that, though we should make it more gory than funny for the sake of seriousness.
>>
>>87184313
Breath powers.

>>87184434
Maybe have the Monster House be the hold house that marks the entrance to the overgrown cemetery and the wood of that house has become zombiefied as well.

Not sure about the PPG though since we used them in part 4 in Molly's Gamble. It's been, at minimum, 8 years in-universe since part 4. Possibly more depending on what year Mr. Nobody's term is in. Another reason why the race is happening now is this is when the Wishing Star has finally gotten close enough to Earth for it to be a part of Mr. Nobody's plan. It takes time for mass to move through space after all, even if it is a big ball of magical bullshit energy, it didn't just teleport a the end of part 6 to Earth's orbit as soon as the beam of STAR energy from the vortex went by it.

Also, San Fransokyo has those huge floating turbine things, so we should use those somehow, like someone gets launched into the air by one of the raising kaiju and them bounce off of them, or some kind of fight happens on top of them during the racers' stay in the city.
>>
>>87181492

Wasn't he gonna be in Part 4? As some kind of weapon/living Stand used by the serial killer society?
>>
>>87184434
>can we cameo/include the Monster House (from that stop-motion/CGI movie) in the Beast part too?
The house is made with wood from the haunted trees?

>>87184475
Maybe he could be the first antagonist that uses a Style.

>Super headbutts
>Be grateful that the last thing you see will be by handsome semblance!

Monster House had that power of controlling its garden's grass, making everything that touched there to be stuck by the house. Maybe it got their vehicles stuck and that was how they were forced to fight the beast.

Yea, I was worried about the PPG reappearence there. I thought we could use the PPGZ version, but it was an anime, so that's a no. Maybe we could use come other characters from CN City there, we have tons to choose from in there. Maybe we could just use the NuPPG in here and reuse that episode from NuPPG where a horse transforms into a red kaiju monster in there too.

I don't have any special ideias for San Fransokyo yet.
>>
>>87184956

It's a real shame, he could be a terrifying antagonist if used right.
>>
>>87185213
I think Aberdale will be a boring little town, so when three hyper active kids start pestering the racers stopped there for the night (next check point announced in the morning) they have nothing better to do than humor them.
Then things get weird when someone pisses The Beast off and more racers get involved.

Maybe just use character who aren't the PPG for CN City.

But anyway, before they even get to Aberdale they have to cross the desert. Vince/Jack is a bee keeper as a hobby. One of the things to keep an ear out for when you're in the desert is buzzing; where there's bees, there's water.

Maybe whoever Jack/Vince was riding with (Sam and Max?) for this leg of the race has a break down, their car overheats, and Jack is able to use this knowledge to find water in the desert so they can still be in this race.

Hex and Pym do pretty well over this leg of the race since Hex knows deserts.
>>
>>87185316
Well, now The Beast is finally getting a chance here after being cut from part 4, then cut from part 5, now finally has a solid role in part 7.

If you have some ideas for him, now's the time.

Parasitic tree roots seems most fitting. They spread throughout the body, wrapping around the bones and clogging up veins and organs.

Sounds like something that would happen in Jojo tobehonest. Maybe have some background racers be affected by it and get transformed into zombies.
>>
>>87185472
Maybe that happens to Haddock and he beats the beast because he has so much alcohol in his system.

And of course because he lights him on fire with his breath.
>>
Two unrelated ideas I just had.

One, on the way to Aberdale through the desert the Roadrunner should be a race correspondent with a camera affixed to his head. I know he has an atomic super clone already used back in part 5, but I don't remember the original ever being used.

Two, we have Clarence, Sumo, and Jeff appearing in Aberdale. Something to note is that Clarence's grandfather in one episode was revealed to be a Hank Hill look-a-like with the same voice and everything.
I don't want to pass that up, but I don't know if we even could work that in.
>>
>>87186247
No, we never used the original Roadrunner, though Coyote appeared in part 1.

Oh yea, there was also that bullshit freezing breath power too.

>>87186247
The Roadrunner ideia is interesting. Maybe we could have him be an ally of Jack in the corpse part thing in Nowhere.

We should have him as a second coming of Hank Hill to keep with the characters from other parts callbacks thing. Maybe he's the one who helps them defeat the Beast when Clarence's gang sees things get out of control.

>A familiar voice is heard
>"Dang it, Creendence"
>Clarences grandfather, Seymour Wendle, appears out of fucking nowhere

Maybe he uses an charcoal themed suit to try to burn down the monsters, the Monster House (which only way to be defeated is by throwing a explosive in its heart/chimney) and the Beast, which leads to the light fire thing in >>87185953.
>>
>>87187630
If the roadrunner is a camera man for the race, I think he'd be forbidden from helping the racers.

Eh... charcoal? That's a bit too out there for me.

You know, Cotton bedded hundreds of women, it wouldn't surprise me if Seymour Wendle was actually another of his bastard sons.

We also need to work on our Strickland Goodwill Foundation presence in this part, which has been under Bobby's control for a couple years now to get it back on track.

Maybe the prize for the top 50 who make it to Aberdale first is something from Strickland.

I kind of like Pinball Wizard. If only because it could also play nicely with and against Hex's stand eventually.

It also sort of throws a mist over the "Leterally"-ness of it. that said I can see the appearences of "the Wizard" being the manifestation of the stand.

A sort of duck in 2001 Space Odyssey God Baby Pose in a crystal ball that can be wielded atop a wizard staff (the sphere is the stand and it is only visible once characters get stands).

I had two ideas to explain how Nobody is tracking down the Corpse parts: The first is that He has the other eye of the the corpse and uses it as a scrying tool of sorts to get visions of the location of the other parts. The other, more silly option is that he drops the Super Rod in a bowl full of water and it acts like a compass.

>>87191261
If we use electricity, it could be a remnant of Strickland's brief stint with electric-based tech.
>>
>>87190125
Yeah because a camera going cartoonishly fast is pretty useful when you're going for abstract blur photography.

>>87194566
>>87194625
If the rod points in the direction of the next part then how does Mr. Nobody know where to put the check point at? It'd be too easy to over or under shoot it.

I think he'd use the rod as a dart and throw it at a map to pick the next check point.

>>87196096
Some threads ago, it was suggested that those robot beetles from toonami were recording the whole race. The interviews can take place in each checkpoint.
>>
>>87197081
Yeah, but I'm not saying the roadrunner is recording the race, I'm saying he's running around with the racers for this particular leg of the race so they have someone right up in the action. Since they're crossing a desert, the racers can spread out a lot more.

The clydes are the eyes in the sky for the race and Melusine (also in the sky) is the rules enforcer.

>Person who finishes the race with the highest number of points gets the $500,000,000 and the person who finishes the race first gets the Wishing Star
souds good for me
>>
>>87202057
More importantly: Points should give time based advantages, higher points get earlier starts etc.

On top of this, it may seem pointless (heh) to give out points but remember that nobody knows where the wishing star is (it hasn't reached earth yet) so racers actually believe to a degree that the points matter. I think Rorschach should be the one to tip off the racers as a part of his conspiracy investigation ("why would the president just give up a wishing star- there's some bullshit afoot")
>>
>>87204221
No, no early starts. We wouldn't be able to do that with a lot of where the starting points are at. Once the next check point is announced, that's it, the racers are off.

Advantages in the form of rewards or better equipment to supe up their vehicles, sure, but no early starts.
>>

>>
>>87205576

>>
>>87208784

I sincerely don't.
>>
>>87208404
I think so.

First checkpoint is the Varrick capsule.

Second checkpoint can be something from Strickland

Third checkpoint are the jawbreakers.

Fourth checkpoint, which I guess can just be a cruise ship located near the Strait of Gibraltar, could be something from Scrooge.

No idea what they get at Paris or the robot refugee town near the Looniversity or Rio or whatever comes after Rio.

>>87208401
He'd probably get too caught up fighting the giant monsters before The Big One Bar, so not only is he disqualified for flying, he didn't even make it to the checkpoint in time.

Seems like that might become too big of a deal though if we have him hanging around in a giant robot.

I wanted to have Optimus Prime in this race just as a background racer with no important role in the plot, but then I realized there'd be too much push for him to be in the spotlight.

Though I'll just be happy if it gets written.

Anyway, the transformers I'm familiar with aren't the G1 transformers (Beast Wars was the thing on TV at the time), so I don't know much about any of them.
>>
>>87211500
Fair. The idea was that we shouldn't focus too much on background stuff right now, the main story is the important thing.
>>
>>87211877
OK, so Pym and Hex.

We seem to be, in the written content (not the outline writing, the actual story writing), still at the point where Pym walks out of the registration building and sees Hex fighting Shocker.

Thought on that?
>>
>>87212032
Pym interrupts the fight and mentions that Shocker has clemency for registering in the race, he gloats about being untouchable and leaves. After this, Pym tells Hex about the loophole that allows Hex to catch Shocker while racing.

We need to elaborate on the dialogue between the three, and when Hex goes to the registration desk.
>>
>>87212788
I'm at quite the disadvantage with this part since I know almost nothing about these three in the current scene.

How much of an asshole is Shocker?
>Pym walks out of the building an hears gunshots, right down the street and honest to god cowboy is fighting what might be a ninja
>Pym is amused by this spectacle and tries to get a better view
>Shocker dodges bullets and brings out his elector gauntlet
>Shocker: "What're you trying to pull, old man? Other than your back."
>Hex: "Quite the bounty you've managed to gain despite looking like you stole that get up from a whore house. You're wanted in all 50 states, and then some and I'm lookin' to cash in."

Alright, so he's just a jackass.

Looking at it again I see I'm fucking up my grammar so that tells me I've been awake too long, but I'm not going to bed just yet.

So give me an idea of what Shocker is capable of. I know Hex has bullshit luck and cowboy grit going for him.

Gotta figure out at what point Pym should step in before things escalate to mass broken windows. Like he sees Shocker powering up his electro-whatever and steps in since the smart part of him realizes this will blow out all the windows in town and that won't be good for anyone but the window fitters.
>>
>>87214481
His gauntlets shoot concentrated air blasts and his suit generates a vibration field that can deflect blows and makes him hard to grapple.
>>
>>87215140
Ah, so he's less dodging the bullets and more shrugging them off as it deflects them.

And that does sound like it would break all the windows if he got serious.

I guess any supers in this part who use technology/gadgets for their powers can retain those and, if needed, we can give them stands that augment that or do something totally different. Not sure if there should be any stands in play until the first checkpoint, well, anything explicitly stated to be a stand anyway.

Hex catches Shocker in the Bagge Farm, if Mojo Jojo recognices Hex as a bounty hunter, he will try to avoid him which mean that he will intentionally remain behind Hex and Pym or seek and alternate route to the checkpoints.
>>
>>87228394
I'm more trying to come up with stuff at the beginning of the beginning right now.

CN City is where part 3 started, so there's the place Tom and Jerry liked hanging out at, that might be a good spot for an encounter.

Could be something going on with ACME trying to recover the stand jawbreakers as well or a heist that happens stealing them so they can be given as a prize on the way across the ocean.
>>
>>87228394
After the corpse parts are introduced, would Hex still be as focused on collecting bounties?
>>
>>87230288
Hex learns about the Corpse parts in the farm, and he first learns about Nobody's plot after he and Pym encounter Rorschach. Between those two points He could still be on the hunt of criminals.
>>
>>87230432
After learning about both of those things, I think he'd target the Chameleon next. Maybe during Spain/France they find Rorschach's dead body and the Chameleon is nearby, so they give chase and then beat information out of him about what Mr. Nobody is really planning.

The "erase the concept of heroism" plot can be interpreted any which way, and said by someone like the Chameleon, it'd probably sound like Mr. Nobody wants to plunge the world into criminal anarchy as an evil overload.

We could make it a recurring theme where each time Pym and Hex beat someone working for Mr. Nobody they tell them the same thing, but interpreted a different way, confusing them both as to just what the hell Mr. Nobody's true end game is.
>>
>>87230700
There is also the fact that at that point they only know about one of the corpse parts (the one that was inside the giant bone).

Hey there, first time posting in one of these after lurking for the past few months, but I figure it might be cool to contribute. Looking through Part 7's doc, it looks like Deedee doesn't have much info yet, so I'm going to attempt to make a Stand for her.

[BUTTON TO BUTTON] (Reference is to "The Hardest Button to Button" by White Stripes)

Appearance: A small, version of the Deedee's spider-kaiju form from that one episode of Dexter (can't remember the name), that rides on her back.

Ability: [BUTTON TO BUTTON] launches colorful buttons that look similar to those found on arcade machines from it's spinerettes. When these buttons hit an object, they become stuck to it with glob of strong adhesive resembling spider silk.

[ICKY THUMP] While a button is attached to a surface, if it becomes pressed the stand's secondary ability [ICKY THUMP] activates, causing whatever object it is attached to malfunction. For more complex objects with several working parts, such as living beings, machines and structures [ICKY THUMP] can only disable parts within a small radius of the button.

The most common uses would be things like
>incapacitating foes by striking near a joint
>disabling electronic parts
>causing a container to leak
>reducing structural integrity
>wiping information from a written text

Yeah, I was referring to the route between Nowhere and CN City. After their first encounter with Old Jack, they could just brush off the story of the Corpse Parts as mere mythology. The story gets more credibility when they meet Rorschach, and is confirmed when they see a Corpse part with their own eyes (and Rorschach's lifeless body).

Well that has potential for her to wreck havoc on other racers vehicles with it. So it could work.

>>87231466
So Pym could be in that bar Tom liked to hang around in during part 3 and that's when he starts talking about how stupid something like a dead guy's corpse having power is before Rorschach drags him off to a closet to yell at him for being stupid.
>>
>>87232775
some fight in the same train yard jerry and tom fought in, of course it would be wrecked by strange un seeable forces again

I'd also like it if Tom had some kind of cameo that wasn't too plot centric. He doesn't need to be a racer but maybe some stand user is pulling some shit, thinks he's getting away but runs into Tom just to get his shit swiftly kicked in,
>>
>>87233186
Maybe whoever is against Pym wrecks the bar, Tom's favorite bar, and Tom doesn't take kindly to that.

Of course Pym thinks he must've been really drunk since all he remembers is a cat in a zuit suit with a clothes hanger stuck in the shoulders who busted in the head of whoever was about to bust his head open.

Maybe Tom was also out shopping for kid supplies since he might have kids by now.
>>
>>87233186

Looks interesting and also adds up to the callbacks gags. Maybe we could have one of Tom's children in there instead of Tom himself. I mean, Tom should be very old by now too. Can't think of someone worthy of it now, but it should be comparable to how we did Daffy's children, so maybe a character from other show with visible similarities (maybe Scratchy from Simpsons).

He's probably as old as Johnny was in part 3, or a bit older than Jotaro was in Stone Ocean (40 years old)

I like these, but I'm not sure how to blend them together.

Also, do we need the Chameleon to still be alive for Pym and Hex to fight him in Spain?

>>87234472
Tom was, let's say 20 in part 3. So 1 + 1 + 5 (or was it 7 years between 5 and 6? If Dora were 12 at the end of part 5 than she'd need to be 18 at the start of part 6 to be sent to that prison) + let's say 2; that'd make him maybe 29 now at the youngest, but still under 50, so he's still in his prime.

I dunno, we should try to prevent cluttering the latter sections with too many villains, not every henchmen needs to be a long lived antagonist.

And we should really write down the years between each part.

I have some ideas for [STAND] users:

User: Brian Griffin (Family Guy)
Name: [D-O-DOUBLE-G] or [D-O-G-G]
Appearance: A large humanoid with tree bark-like skin, horns, and claws
Effect: [D-O-DOUBLE-G] creates toxin-secreting vines that attack anyone who's been exposed to marijuana smoke within the last 6 hours (people who smoked pot 7 hours ago or 6 hours and 1 second ago are unaffected); the toxins kill the targets over a 24 minute period (if Brian/[D-O-G-G] is defeated, the toxins disappear). Interestingly, [D-O-G-G] appears to be actively hostile (but not enough to kill him) towards Brian and basically does what it wants. While [D-O-G-G] is active, Brian is in a vulnerable, unresponsive "stoned" state. [D-O-G-G]'s goal is to control Brian completely, a reference to his own self-loathing over being a failed writer.

The idea of the [STAND] is to turn what seems like a joke character into a genuine threat. Brian also carries around pot and a lighter at all times so his [STAND] can actually be effective.

User: Megatron (Beast Wars)
Name: [ANTICHRIST SUPERSTAR]
Appearance: A white, malnourished-looking 9-headed reptilian humanoid
Effect: Traps the target in an "anti-world" where everything is opposite (up is down, left is right, etc.); [ANTICHRIST SUPERSTAR] appears in the anti-world every 6 minutes to attack the target. The anti-world can only contain one target at a time.
>>

We still need someone for Hex and Pym to mistake for Rorschach's murderer and get the wrong idea about Mr. Nobody's plan from.

So while the Chameleon takes a beating, he still manages to hang in the race for a little while longer. The beating he takes might be why Scud and DAVE get deployed since he'll overestimate Pym.

I think it's
>1 to 2 - 15 years
>2 to 3 - 20 years
>3 to 4 - 1 year (because the Eds flip the island fast and run)
>4 to 5 - 1 year (because any more than that would be GROSS incompetence since the investigators are being funded by Scrooge)
>5 to 6 - 5 years? If we really need to tack on years, here would be the place.
>6 to 7 - 2 years? It takes a while for the Wishing Star to get to Earth, but it also needs to still be Mr. Nobody's first term in office and he was running for office at the end of part 6.
>>
>>87235595
Old Jack appearance is based on the new season of Samurai Jack, which takes place 50 years after the end of the original series, so we can toss a couple of years here and there to fit the time frame (except between parts 3, 4 and 5).
>>
>>87236488
We could just have the time frame between 5 and 6 be 10 years.

After all, the prison was just getting planned at the end of part 5 and shit takes time to build and establish.
>>
>>87234820
Maybe we could have Tom's sons (for now, we have you and Scratchy as suggestions; maybe we could also think of having Inky and Winky, Felix The Cat's nephews) get dragged in the fight and Tom just makes a cameo after the battle ends, or maybe delivers the final blow.

Also, we should use Tom as a reference to old Jotaro appearing later in Jojo too. We might not get a chance to do this later.
>>
>>87236724
I think Tom's sons would all be very young if we actually saw them.

It's been either 9 to 14 years between parts 3 and 7, and Tom was still pretty young at the end of part 3, so he and his girl would've still been dating for a few years before getting married or having kids.

Might be best if we just have Tom with the implication that he has kids now or have him meet his kids after mopping up whoever was going to cave in Pym's face.

One of his minions could be Marcel from the Rio movie too. Assuming Marcel used an Stand Jawbreaker, he could probably have a Nigel-like Stand.

I get the feeling anyone still in it is going to be shell shocked.

>>87251244
So what's his deal?
>>
>>87252331
Maybe he's trying to destroy the concept of heroism too. But he interprets it as a way to induce chaos and disrupt other organizations based solely on that ideal, like SHIELD.

I'm just taking this from some bits of the comic for now. I might come up with something better later.

>>87251432
Yes, facing another warlord in the same part of the race may be too much. I'd like to have him work in the background mostly so we can spare more background racers.
>>
>>87253628
Maybe Mr. Nobody gives the racers a breather in Rio after the shit they went through with Tulio.
>>
>>87254288
I'm thinking maybe in between bits of action for the racers we get history lessons from Nobody on Tulios country. The version of Nobody doing the Narrating should sound rather like Stamper when he was narrating the cutscens for Battleblock Theatre.

Mr. Nobody would be giving those narration things all through the part I think.

He does like to tell stories to his friends about things that remind him of whatever is currently happening around him.
>>
>>87246124
If they fought the Pillarmen empire, they would likely be conquered and their technology incorporated to the empire, which means retconning the story we already have about the pillarmen.
They could be either an even older civilization that removed itself from the rest of the world before the pillarmen became militant, or a civilization that arose after the pillarmen went to sleep and dissapeared in an unspecific date.

>>87251432
>get attacked by the ex-presidential candidate and his monster-sized Stand
>get ambushed by a tribe of antedeluvian biomechanical beings after trespassing in his territory
>get caught in the crossfire between a band of scavengers and a town of refugees
>get knocked out of the sky and hunted down by a third world warlord and his army.

Whoever wins the big cash prize will spend a good chunk of it in therapy bills
>>
>>87257522
Or they could be a civilization that the pillarmen didn't even bother to take anything from. Or they saw them coming and went dormant to save themselves from going to war with them.

>Where should the last fight with Loki be at? In Springfield at the circus?
yeah, that's what it says on the doc right now

OK, so who should banish him and how?

Personally I'd like to use Sam and Max for that, Sam whips out an even bigger gun than his usual trombone-sized .44 hand-cannon.

>"Hey Sam, what happened to your old gun?"
>"Oh, I got an even bigger one to replace it!"
>"Now that you're a woman, I can't say that you're compensating for something!"
>"Its a win-win! Lets sell the De Soto and buy a Hummer."
>"I love not compensating!"

And that conversation would be happening while blood is flying all around them as they shoot their through whatever Loki has brainwashed or summoned to cause chaos/fight them with.

After that Loki busts out the warped [Amerika] stand he stole from Cartman that now looks like that Nazi propaganda monster and is just as massive.

Bebop and Rocksteady. Are they still assassins in this part? They have stands on the doc.
>>
>>87260265
They do?

First I've ever seen mention of them.
>>
>>87260377
they were suggested a while ago as minor antagonists that face Tempo Lalinde during the race.
>>
>>87260377
...They did, but it seems my work got deleted somehow. Just as well, they needed revising.

>Rocksteady
>[CRY TOUGH]
>Resembles a gun. If a bullet fired from it hits something, the object instantly feels like it becomes heavier until it is impossible to move. However, it's weight doesn't actually change. It is purely in the mind of anyone who saw the object get hit or was hit by a bullet themselves. Objects can still be moved by people who hadn't witnessed it getting shot, or by stands. Bullets that hit a person will start by making the hit area feel heavier as it gradually spreads, rendering the person immobile. People hit may even feel as though they are being crushed or in pain, and may try and mutilate themselves. They will even stop breathing if the "weight" gets too intense and suffocate themselves.

>Bebop
>[JUST BE BOP]
>Manifests as a roll of pink and purple stickers. When placed on a object, the user may telepathically move it, but only once before the sticker vanishes. If a sticker is placed on a suitably humanoid object or person however, the user may manipulate that person where the sticker was placed. If it was placed on a hand, then the user would be able to puppeteer that hand for example. The more stickers placed, the more the user can control them. Additionally, people affected will be unaware of it unless someone tells them. The stickers are not infinite and he can run out. The user can make stickers return to the roll at will. Stickers can be removed by stands. Stickers removed will automatically return.

They were suggested to fight Tempo, but I don't know if she's still in this.
>>
>>87260787
And who is Tempo Lalinde?

I tried google, but the results don't look like anything useful.

>>87261022

Tempo is Quake Woman from the Archie Comics MegaMan series.

Oh. I remember her being brought up now.

Where are we using her in this?
>>
>>87258214
>In Springfield at the circus?
I'd like some context on this.

>>87261416
I'm not sure. Perhaps she's racing because she thinks Pym stole her mother's inventions and wants to kill him?
>>
>>87261682
One of the locations we've tossed around is that the racers pass through Springfield while racing from Aberdale to CN City.
Jojo's Circus is currently set up and at preforming at Springfield.

Last I saw, Quake Woman was racing because she's trying to find her humanity again having lost her sense of emotions.
>>
Any lewd art of this?
>>
>>87262099
I saw Loki was being fought there. I don't guess it's a corpse part location anymore. Or otherwise hostile unless Loki puts in acts of his own. (Though a Two-Face-style hijacking of the ring like in Batman Forever could be fun).

Also, that would work as a motive, but I figured that, since she's a robot, she'd be trying to find someone who could restore her emotions instead of wasting the star. Maybe she mistakes Deedee for her brother?
>>
>>87262368
I don't think Loki even knows of the corpse. We haven't touched on that.

Maybe Pym or someone in the robot refugee town restores her emotions? She might drop out of the race after that since she doesn't want her family to worry about her dying in the race anymore.
>>
>>87262368
>>87261682
I could see it working. Loki pulls some trickster bullshit and that forces racers to go through the circus (maybe the landscape around the circus keeps "repeating" leaving the only way through is right into Loki's trap)

Just want to get a grip on the action for phase 1
>Intro
>Hex vs Shocker pre registration
>The race itself
>fights should happen (Spongebob vs Dan Backslide, Hex and Shocker should get into some kind of fight on the road, Wander Sylvia and Jack get into the explosion, Dick's plot at the Kaiju bar)
>Results that were posted before
>Phase 2 to Aberdale

Did I miss anything, I have some ideas for the phase 1 race
>>
>>87262681
There's also what happens at San Fransokyo with Yellowjacket meeting Sam and Max, the parade, introducing Loki (who turns Sam and Max into dames for shits and giggles), Dan Backslide having come under Loki's thrall (after he finished the race too late and was very drunk) and being fought, and whatever Pym and Hex get up to.

Then it goes into LEG 2 (phase 2 is Europe) of phase 1 (USA), which is to Aberdale.
>>
>>87262681
>Hex and Shocker should get into some kind of fight on the road
Assuming that Hex and Pym ride together from this point onwards, then yes, Hex and Shocker get into a fight which ends with Hex horse getting crippled or downright killed.
>>

And that explosion happens while they're still in the starting city while Wander is being distracted by trying to help people.

And there's also what Mr. Nobody does to the Hill people once the scales of karma tip in his favor.

And how far does that explosion need to send them? Because it's about 200 miles from start to checkpoint 1.

>>87263204
Dan Backslide becomes Loki's thrall and is fought in the same section or during the route to Aberdale?
>>
>>87268717
No, I'm pretty sure Dan Backslide is defeated before the second leg of the race starts.

He's like the main guy to fight in San Fransokyo I guess since no other contenders have been suggested.

As for the WB, I very much doubt any of the demons in the WB knew about all the pies the Red Guy had his fingers in. And of course that's just the way he liked it since it'd keep them all fighting each other instead of trying to usurp him.

Should we have Gennedy's Grevious in part 7 as a Stand Jawbreaker Cyborg? maybe he lives in the Robot Settlement?
>>
>>87280005
That might be pushing it.

We have stand jawbreaker powered robots, but no stand jawbreaker powered cyborgs.

Cyborgs in the setting have all been pillar propane fueled so far.

And the IG lancer droids from Gennedy's Clone Wars are planned to be part of Gatlocke's group when he raids the town.
>>
>>87280712
What about Gadget in part 4 or Mandark's brain jar (if that counts as a cyborg) in part 5? And I think there was another cyborg in part 8 as an antagonist.
>>
>>87280846
Gadget in part 4 was a cyborg powered by pillar propane who later ate a stand jawbreaker to get a stand.

Mandark wasn't a cyborg, he was using his stand's power alone to preserve his life.

RoboDale in part 6 was a pillar propane powered cyborg, he never ate a stand jawbreaker.

There are no stand jawbreaker powered cyborgs, only robots are powered by stand jawbreakers.
I don't think the robots develop stands either since the jawbreaker is more-or less-their soul. They'd have to get a stand by either eating another jawbreaker or by other means.
But they can all see stands because of their jawbreaker cores.

It's a slow project. But we're surviving.

Question regarding the Boys to Men At Work II. Are they going to have stands? Will they get stands, but later on? Or will they go through without them? Or will only one or two develope stands?

Additionally, if they have stands, should they be parallels to the original Men At Work? I was writing some up with that in mind.
>>
>>87282685
I don't think Clarence, Jeff, or Sumo will have stands, and also won't be around past Aberdale since they're kids and stay home.

They're one-off location characters, not racers.
>>
>>87282833
I know they wouldn't be past Aberdale, I just wanted to know as to what extent they'd help. I still have stand designs for them anyway if we need them.

I figured that at least Sumo or Clarence would see stands, most likely Clarence. He sees a lot of weird shit most people don't.
>>
>>87280964
well, if Mandark kept his Stand even after being reduced to a brain, is not impossible for another organism to manifest a Stand after being turned into a cyborg. Being "powered by a Stand Jawbreaker" is unnecessary for a cyborg since there is still a living component that is capable of developing a Stand by more traditional means (if said cyborg is capable of eat a jawbreaker or not is another story).

>>87282685
nothing has been decided yet i had the random thought that Jeff's Stand could be related to his freakishly square head.
>>
>>87282685
Feel free to share it with us. If it is good enough, we could make it happen here or in part 8 maybe.
>>
>>87283057
>Jeff's stand
[SQUAREPUSHER]?
I figured [Hip To Be Square] would already be a stand name
>>
>>87282952
You should just pitch ideas for how much they help then instead of asking since no one has made any suggestions on that front yet.

>>87283057
I feel like we're having sever miscommunication.

I said Gadget was a cyborg before he got his stand.

I said Mandark was only still alive as a brain because of his stand.

I never said anything about what kind of living things are or are not capable of having stands.

A cyborg wouldn't be powered by a stand jawbreaker because that would be illegal.

This all started because you said something about Grievous being in the robot town as a "Stand Jawbreaker Cyborg", then I tried to correct you because a cyborg would not be powered by a jawbreaker like how the robots in that town are.
>>
>>87283383
>I figured [Hip To Be Square] would already be a stand name
Yeah, I think there is a Stand with that name among the suggestions for part 8.
>>
>>87283526
>a cyborg would not be powered by a jawbreaker like how the robots in that town are
That was exactly what I was trying to say, I wasn't the one that suggested Grievous though.

Anyway, how does the racers end driving atop the kaijus?
>>
>>87283378
>>87283526
>>87283534
>>87283383
Meh, well, here's what I';ve come up with. It's kinda rough.

>Clarence
>{MGMT]
>The stand resembles a robotic gorilla with clown-like motifs. Though it has an extremely short range, any object MGMT punches will temporarily gain sentience and movement, however they do not become anthropomorphic.
>The object's personality is really based on how the user views it, and it will help the user if the user desires. However, the user's views on the object may sometimes be negative and the object brought to life will antagonize them.
>The effect lasts 5 minutes.

>Sumo
>[CRYSTAL CASTLES]
>A long-ranged stand resembling an alien. The stand's primary ability is simply taking things apart quickly. If the user knows how to reassemble the object, the stand will. If the user knows how to assemble it and has the parts on hand, the stand can construct something new from pieces of disassembled things.
>The stand has a second ability called [UNTRUST US]. If the stand grabs onto a person, they will be forced to contradict the user in every way, allowing the user to manipulate them by telling them the opposite of the desired action.
>The user must first touch something to affect it. The stand can only do one thing at a time or affect one person at a time. Additionally, it has no offensive capabilities.

>Jeff
>[SQUAREPUSHER] (undecided, but I like that suggestion)
>The stand resembles an ordinary laser pointer. When a laser is fired from it, it can distract people of lesser wills.
>The more the user becomes frustrated or tense, the more dangerous the stand becomes. If the user is completely enraged, the laser fired will be able to disintegrate objects, but this is only based on how angry the user is.
>It also functions as a pencil.

Jef's stand is boring, Sumo's is destructive, and Clarence's is based entirely on his overactive imagination.
>>
>>87283622
Up the tail I'd imagine.

They'd have to drive up them just to reach the bar counter where the finish line for that part of the race is.
>>
Is Reviewfag still around?
>>
>>87285395
Pretty sure he is still reviewing Stands in every thread, hopefully.

>>87284098
I'm not sure, but Clarence's and Jeff's Stands seem to fit better as Jawbreaker Stands while Sumo's Stand seems like a natural one. Depends in if they are direct comebacks from the show.

If so, then maybe we could develop a backstory that Sumo's naturally created Stand inspired Clarence and Jeff to get their own "cool punchghost thing" through Stand Jawbreakers.

Clarence's and Sumo's Stands seem workable, though Jeff's Stand boring-ness will only be tolerable if the main joke is that people are constantly calling his Stand boring (and enraging him every time).
>>
>>87286131
Sumo seems like the one who would develop a stand naturally.

If Clarence's grandpa is related to Hank somehow, maybe Clarence discovers a Jawbreaker cache in his attic? Or they're gifts from him similar to Jolyne getting pierced by a stand arrow.

I still don't know how, or if, they should be related though. Twins? Clones? Hank Hill with D4C? Another illegitimate child of Cotton's?

I guess Clarence and Jeff could've also looked for Jawbreakers on there own. I'm not sure who'd be dealing them out in Aberdale. Belson? He's the closest thing to Kevin on Clarence.
>>
>>87286276
There wouldn't be a stash of jawbreakers in his attic because of some relation to the Hill family, they'd only be there if the house used to be owned by the WB.

Cotton slept with 273 women, there could be siblings to Hank Hill all over the world.
>>
>>87285395
Yeah, I'm still here. Usually post anonymously unless something big comes up.
>>
>>87286472
Ah, I suppose that'd be true. Though him (loosely) being related to Hank would still work.

Also, Josh could also be a Jawbreaker vendor. He's a minor character on the show who loaths kids, mostly because he keeps getting injured by them. Being RETIRED by their stands shortly after getting them from him (maybe they stole from him, causing him to attack them?) would fit his character I suppose. If we wanted them in a side-story, Belson could take the business over, mostly on account of his father being imprisoned and losing his wealth.

On an unrelated note, I also figured that there could be some stand combos between Sumo and Clarence, by having Sumo disassemble something and have Clarence's punchghost animate the individual pieces.

>>87286915
It's been so long since I've been here, I was kinda worried.
>>
>>87287099
That'd make Clarence Hank's half-grand nephew.

That'd be Bobby's half-cousin once removed.

How would we make that relevant? We've been kicking around the idea that Strickland gives out the prize to the Aberdale first arrivals, so there'd have to be someone from Strickland there. Maybe they see a connection and make a note to tell Bobby about it.
>>
So we have the Varrick shrinking capsule
Something from Strickland
A bag of stand jawbreakers

What else? Each leg of the race should have a prize with it getting more and more extravagant and exclusive as the race goes on.
>>
>>87288666
>Something from Strickland
It's something with propane, that's a given, though i'm not sure what could be, a prototype engine is unlikely since some racers are using animals for transport.
After CN City, the next checkpoint is the huge ship near the Gibraltar strait. Does it have any affiliation to a group or company? who's the captain?
>>
>>87288855
Maybe Strickland gives out some kind of accessory?
Or a booster?

As for the ship, maybe Scrooge owns it, I have no idea what he'd give as a prize in a contest, I just can't think of him giving something unless it profited him in some way.
>>
.>/co/co/ thread is more active than the drawthread
>>
>>87288666
Could you remind me what the Varrick Capsule does? Is it an original /Co/Co/ thing?
>>
>>87289147
Maybe supplies and equipment to continue the race, a propane grill included.
I don't know what could be Scrooge's prize, he doesn't deal with technology like Strickland.

>>87290091
They shrink and store the vehicles of the racers.
>>
>>87290091
During part 5 when Varrick first got his stand he went nuts mixing chemicals to invent something that could chemically shrink large object for easy storage.

This is the refined product years later. It's basically like the capsules from Dragon Ball I guess.

>>87290200
Maybe they award pillar propane and explain any combustion powered vehicle will get a significant boost from it like if it had nitro installed?

If the racers who win it aren't using combustion vehicles they could get a years supply of meats or propane or something. Bobby is head of Strickland now, and he is an excellent judge of meat.

As for Scrooge, maybe he gives them a marketing opportunity? Racers who place high enough after the water leg of the race can become spokespersons in some kind of business Scrooge is undertaking. It'd be an extremely lucrative contract.
>>
Bumping before bed.

Hoping someone will keep it from dying.
>>
>>87289377
Really? What the hell?

Storywise, does Shocker ever tell the other bounties that Hex is on his tale? He's big into honor among thieves, seems like he'd try to help his fellow criminals out.
>>
>>87288855
Maybe they'd just give an propane upgrade on the vehicle, no matter its type. Maybe also enhacing its gadgets (mostly with more use of fire, of course) and stats in every way.

>>87290200
As for Scrooge, he could give some kind of luxury upgrade. Which would make the vehicle stretchy, physically indestructible and have more safety for the driver as well.

Maybe each company funding it has a special type of upgrade to offer as prizes, that seems like a fun ideia to me. It would also make sense that they'd promote their company's reputation like that. Except maybe for ACME, which should make the winner choose from any product ACME has ever made.

>>87293485
Just so you know, you're being a crucial Anon to this project. Thank you.
>>
>>87290452
>>87293996
The main problem with Scrooge's prize is that I can't see him handing over something very expensive to 50 random people, some of them being wanted criminals.

>>87292549
Sounds fine, he arrives 5th to the first checkpoint while Hex is 21th, that gives him some time to alert the other criminals in the race.
>>
>>87294798
Maybe the number of people who get a prize at each checkpoint goes down with each checkpoint.
1st checkpoint - first 50 get a prize
2nd checkpoint - first 40 get a prize

Something like that?

>>87293996
I think ACME should be the ones giving out the prizes for the CN City checkpoint.

I really hope that the Lilo and Stitch you are talking about on part 8 are this Lilo & Stitch
>>
>>87296741
AAAAHHH!
>>
>>87296741
Sure why not.
>>
>>87296741
Ssssssorta?

I mean, our story has them fused, so Stitch probably gets a sorta humanoid body? Likewise Lilo would probably get his furriness.

I figured that they'd simply change genders to show that they've switched.
>>
>>87297751
>>87296741
Lilo and Stitch are slotted for part 8?
>>
>>87298254
They're in the doc. Chris-chan fuses them.

It might get scrapped when it's time for part 8 however.
>>
>>87298355
Part 8 sounds like it's going to be weirder than normal.

But anyway, once the racers get out of Tulio's country and make it to Rio, where do they go from there?

Should they meet that little girl who has been a little girl for 50 years on the way to Rio or at Rio? She's guarding the Hero's heart I think.
>>
>>87299447
I don't know, they also pass through the ruins of Kuzco's kingdom in the Andes, that's another potential location for a Corpse part (unless it was the original location of the skull)
>>
>>87299599
Kuzco had the skull.

They retrieve it from him when they go into space.
>>
>>87299693
The Skull is in Tulio's possession at the time of the race.
>>
>>87299693
Kuzco never had the skull, it was just hidden in the ruins of his old kingdom before Tulio found it.
>>
>>87299744
>>87300042
Regardless, I still feel like they should run into him while in space. But I'm not sure why.
>>
>>87300187
I don't think he'd still be in Earth's obit. He's in deep space now and they racers don't get any further from Earth than the Moon.
>>
>>87300231
Not deep space, just Mars.

The first of many.
>>
>>87300418
You know, I think part 8 is about someone in the setting realizing it's a fictional setting, and that it's also just a knock off of many fictional settings, so they go about trying to destroy the setting from within the setting because it's not a proper setting.

And then the universe gets reset and we have 36 perfect Kuzcos on Mars and only one of them learned the lesson from the movie.

But still, where in part 7 are we going from Rio? Would Rio be the starting point for phase 3 or the first checkpoint of phase 3?
>>
>>87300566
Starting point I guess?
>>
>>87294798
Maybe we should just change Scrooge for someone else then. We could just say that he refused to fund the prizes for that same reason. Maybe we could use Tony Stark for that. Tony would let the racers choose a Stark gadget (from his prototype armor, aka Iron Man suit) of their choice.

>>87296435
I thought only the first/second winner of the race got some prize. In that case, upgrades actually seem like a bad ideia. Also, yes we could use that ideia as an additional motivator for the racers.
>>
>>87301401
And Stark does own Fantastic Island.

Well we had it so the first 50 who got to the first check point get the Varrick capsule, should we revise that to the first 10 for every check point getting a checkpoint placement prize?

Right now I'm thinking

Checkpoint 1 - first 50 get a Varrick capsule
Checkpoint 2 - first 40 get something from Strickland
Checkpoint 3 - first 30 get something from ACME (with the first arrival getting the bag of stand jawbreakers behind the scenes)
Checkpoint 4 - first 25 get something from Stark
Checkpoint 5 - first 20
Checkpoint 6 - first 15
Checkpoint 7 - first 10
Checkpoint 8 - first 5
Checkpoint 9 - first one to finish the race only (Wishing Star)

The checkpoint prizes are independent from the placement points awarded which determine a racer's placing in the overall rankings.
>>
>>87300566
That's the plot of one of the AU stories in Corge Coestar, at least the part of the 36 Kuzcos on Mars, the main Kuzco is still drifting in the void of space.

>>87301675
It makes sense, since the number of racers will also drop as the race advances.
>>
>>87271900
>>
>>87303103
The race starts with over 3,000 entries at least.

By phase 3's start that number will be way down, but still probably over 1,000 somehow.
>>
We should probably come up with a list of sponsors, then we can figure out the checkpoint prizes.
>>
>>87304445
Let's see:
-Strickland Foundation
-Acme
-Varrick Industries
-Scrooge McDuck
That's what we have so far.
>>
>>87304521
The Blackrock corporation and StockGen.
>>
>>87293996
>As for Scrooge, he could give some kind of luxury upgrade. Which would make the vehicle stretchy, physically indestructible and have more safety for the driver as well.
...But it's covered with irremovable advertisements for Scrooge's businesses?
>>
>>87304626
That reminds me of Tiger & Bunny.
>>
>>87304521
What other large businesses or corporations have we had throughout the parts?

Fred Flintstone is supposed to be a scopeman in part 8, right? Maybe we can foreshadow the scopemen a little more by having Mr. Slate be a race sponsor.
>>
>>87304737
Slate is a construction company though. But they might support it because of how dangerous the racers are.

Cogswell's Cogs definitely have to give out a prize for the space part of the race.
>>
>>87304847
>Spacely's Space Sprockets
Is what I meant to say. Got the two confused.
>>
>>87304547
That reminds me that Stockman and a Punisher (either Frank or 2099) were suggested for this part, the latter being part of an assassination plot against Nobody.

>>87304737
Whitmore Industries (from Atlantis) was mentioned some threads ago. Maybe there were other companies mentioned during the market arc in part 5.
>>
>>87304913
Maybe they provide the Orbal Juice so the racers can race in space?

>>87305067
Who were mentioned during the market arc of part 5?

What about Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated? Would they be a sub company of ACME or Varrick Industries? One of them bought Doof's business so they'd be able to crowd out the market for evil.

It's like how the Unseen University in Discworld has at least one "evil" wizard on the staff at all times so they can claim a monopoly on all evil magical activities, that way if independent wizards continue to perform evil acts, they are fully authorized to show up and cave in some skulls.

It'd be like that, but with businesses, as a countermeasure to prevent another WB from happening.
>>
>>87305420
Was also thinking of Doofenshmirtz being included as one of the companies. Here's a list of some other /co/ companies we could think of including.

>Wayne Enterprises
>Total Drama
>Bank of Evil (Despicable Me)
>Buy N Large
>Duff Beer
>Lex Corp
>Oscorp
>>
>>87306051
I think Wayne and Lex are a bit over the 100 year mark by this point in the chronology we have.
>>
>>87305420
A weapons manufacturer was mentioned when the guard at the entrance was knocked down and that affected the stock prices, but the company went unnamed.

>>87306232
Actually, Lex became an old monk and aide of Frollo in France. No idea if Bruce is still around.
>>
>>87306506
Yeah, old Lex is old, but Frollo is ancient by human standards at this point.

The Hero died nearly 100 years ago, and Frollo wasn't a young man when it happened. Even he's not sure what's keeping him alive at this point (he's been drinking from the Holy Grail without realizing what it is).

It's pretty fine, Anon. You should just try to fix the weird borders thing next time.

>>87314739
Just the hazards, places, interviews and the events/battles that happen in the race I think. I might think something useful later.
>>
>>87314739
For that particular section, we just need to sit down and commit to writing it out properly.
>>
And Pym is driving some kind of ant head car thing.

At some point Hex should tell him he's not sharing any of the bounties with him, but does give him some cash to go buy a less embarrassing getup since if Hex has to have a partner, said partner better be well dressed.
>>
Bumping with some additional discussion, since I've been absent for so long, what are our plans for Mojo, Dee Dee, Spongebob, Goofy, and Jane?

I know it was proposed that Jane would be the Lucy equivalent, with her gaining more personalities with each corpse part she absorbs, but I've not really seen her brought up a lot. Additionally, she was supposed to develop a friendship with Goofy and convince him to go against Nobody. I'm not sure if we're keeping that plot or not however.

Mojo was one of the first characters suggested for the part as a Gyro equivalent. Since Hex got that part, I figured he could still be in it. I believe Wander was supposed to be the Pocoloco, but perhaps Mojo could sorta fill that role? I figured he'd at least try usurping the part of president from Nobody at the end. In Powerpuff Girls Rule he turned out to want world domination only for peace. At least until he got bored anyway.
>>
>>87319515
Mojo, Dee Dee and Spongebob all feel redundant.
I liked Jane as one of the protagonists, but don't feel there's much of a place for her if she's not one of the main duo.
Goofy was set up by Max's whole thing in part 5, so we need to use him.
>>
>>87319515
Spongebob doesn't make it to the third checkpoint.

I don't know if we're using Dee Dee since her motives might be too similar to Goofy's.

Mojo I think is now a criminal being hunted by Hex during the race.
>>
>>87319515
Mojo Jojo is a criminal now that is being hunted by Hex after he catches Shocker in the farm, though we haven't decided when Mojo is fought. Spongebob is a Mountain Tim-like character, he gets first place in the first checkpoint and dies after stumbling upon a corpse part. Goofy is an undercover agent working for Nobody, he kills Spongebob in the desert . The roles of Jane and Deedee haven't been discussed much lately.
>>
>>87319607
Lucy didn't really tag along with the main heroes really. She was just a super important girl who the corpse parts have an affinity for. Gyro and Johnny did a lot of things without her. Jane can be the same.

>>87319654
Dee Dee might not want, or even know, her brother is dead. Maybe she could be our Hot Pants and wants the star (or the corpse) so no one else can get it? I don't know. Maybe she just wants the star for some inane reason like a pony?

Goofy was planted in the race by Nobody to look for corpse parts. He's a reluctant enemy at first until he receives a vision of Max's death, making it look like Donald killed him. Afterwards he becomes more determined. He kidnaps Jane at some point towards the end, she helps him overcome his issues and gives him the full story about what happened to his son. Afterwards he turns against Nobody and dies trying to stop him. Jane probably sees his soul and his son reuniting ala Avdol and Iggy.
>>
>>87319977
Navis is our Hot Pants though.

And it's been over 10 years (assuming we move part 6 back a bit to 10 years after part 5 instead of 5 years) since Dexter died by the time part 7 happens, there's no way she wouldn't know by then.

Well here's what I have to offer to this slow thread.

>Spongebob hears a distant calling during the third leg
>It sounds like a child calling for help
>Other racers are not too far behind Spongebob, but he ignores these racers and turns his rock towards the calling
>Goofy follows in his jalopy
>The calls get louder and louder but not a trace of anyone is in site, but Spongebob continues onwards
>Finally the calls stop, Spongebob dismounts his rock and walks forward a few feet. Some seemingly normal dirt patch just feels important. Goofy’s jalopy is just 20 feet behind. He turns off his car and quietly attempts to sneak out. Goofy of course being Goofy falls flat on his face as he tries to step out.
>”Didn’t think I heard ya, did ya partner?” Spongebob says aloud, back still turned to Goofy, while focusing on the dirt patch
>”As a matter of fact, I heard ya coming since I turned mah’ old rock around.”
>Goofy then notices that some of Spongebob is missing, suddenly, 4 spongebob clones grab him from behind.
>”I left a few pieces of me behind not too long ago, just waitin for you to catch up. Now I’m assuming you’re a law abidin’ citizen and you’re not here to do anything illegal…”
>Spongebob finally turns around “… or are you some kind of a 「PINHEAD」”he points at Goofy, with his stand 「OCEAN MAN」floating close behind him.
>>
>>87322108

>Goofy throws a concerned look back.
>”I reckon you don’t even know why you’re out here.” Goofy says aloud, struggling to get Sponegbobs off of him
>”Someone’s callin’ fer help, did you hear it too?”
>”Ya made yourself a bad mistake comin’ out here! What yer lookin’ for is too dangerous for you ta handle!”
>Goofy uses his stand 「UNDER PRESSURE」to close the distance between him and a nearby cactus. This causes stabs two of the spongebobs and causes them to quickly deflate into water puddles.
>Goofy then quickly shakes off and whacks the other two spongebobs. “Gwarsh, looks like they’re not so tough when they aren’t in a pack --a-yuck.”
>Suddenly three more spongebobs are thrown at Goofy. He easily dodges and defeats one but the other two surround him. The cactus moves again, stabbing a spongebob behind Goofy.
>”How if tarnation are you doin’ that to that there cactus! Looks like I gotta take care a’ this personally…”
>Spongebob throws two more spongebobs and charges towards Goofy. Goofy prepares to defend when Spongebob throws out a rope that goes over Goofy’s head towards another spongebob behind him. The spongebobs keep passing the rope around until Goofy is tied up, tight enough to where Goofy is losing air.
>Spongebob absorbs two spongebobs as pieces of him begin to once again come together
>”Gwarsh, that’s a nice trick ya do there, but I know ya can’t keep it up.”
>”I’m an expert at this power here sonny, ya ain’t got a prayer- I always outnumbah you!”
>Goofy closes gap between him and his jalopy, and uses a sharp edge of the broken down mess of a car to cut his way free
>More spongebobs draw near.
> Goofy hops in his jalopy.
>”Tryin’ ta run pinhead? Well I gots ya corned at least from this side!”
>… and this side!”
>Spongebobs surround the car and eventually jump their way in.
>>
>>87322140

>Goofy presses a big ride button- the EJECT button and rockets upwards and forwards letting out his trademark yell as he crashes in towards the ground
>Spongebobs surround Goofy after his failed escape attempt.
>Ya can’t beat me! And ya know why, cause ya ain’t got nothing to fight for! I’mma fightin’ fer justice and ta end every stinkin’ pinhead who tries to cause a ruckus like you! This whole world’s mah town, and law breakers like you’ll all end up behind bars!”
>Goofy looks up to spongebob with a face he hasn’t made in quite some time. Fire glows in his eyes. His mouth unmoving, wearing a glare towards Spongebob. ”Did ja even realize where I landed?” He finally responds
>Goofy has used his stand to cut distance and draw his landing to one certain spot. Goofy is now standing on top of the corpse part mound, which has now been unearthed and fused with Goofy’s leg.
>Sponegbobs jump, to which Goofy easily kicks away with his now corpse part infused leg.
>Goofy closes the gap, brings Spongebob in his range
>”Don’t cha get it? The reason ya lost is because I do have sumthin’ ta fight for!”
>Goofy fucking pummels Spongebob with his corpse leg. Sponegbob is sent flying 10 yards away and lands, many pieces of him, including his hat have been smashed away and are too far for him to reconnect. He can’t even open his eyes as the sun’s rays blind him. Goofy in the distance smashes his rock with his powered leg and jumps back in his jalopy. He turns around without even looking towards Spongebob. Just minutes later, Spongebob becomes a dried up mass, and eventually burns away into dust in the desert.

>Official transcript: Dirty Dan lost his way in the desert, and did not make it to the next checkpoint.

Neat.

Should we say that it's a corpse part in the narrative or keep it ambiguous what came out of the dirt and fused with Goofy's leg until the corpse parts are explained by Old Jack a little bit after this?
>>
>>87322604
Old Samurai Jack tells the story of the Hero's corpse to Hex and Pym around the same time, so it depends of which scene comes first.
>>
>>87322879
Old Jack only confronts them in the City of Nowhere after he believes they had stolen the piece he was guarding.
>>
And I did notice that bit of dialogue between Old Jack, Jack, Hex, and Pym added to the doc like a week+ ago.

I love how we keep that joke of there being multiple Jacks in play and it being confusing for all.
>>
So what does Old Jack look like?

Is he beard Jack from that one episode of the show where the portal guardian got a vision of the future?

He is based on the new season that will air (some day) on Adult Swim, his first appearance in the farm could be with the full armor and mempo.

fucking captcha took forever to load

How are we going to get him covered in gore?
>>
>>87327338
He fights with a sword, up close and personal. We just pick a bad guy and sic Jack on him.

Which reminds me, at some point I'll go back to part 1 and beef it up a bit. Make it feel a little more like Phantom Blood.

10/10 fight Anon. There's not much to add as it is already perfect.

Also, I just had an ideia. Can we include Polandball somewhere? Maybe as the mascots of their respective countries, which could be funding some legs of the race for political motives (We could also have a joke about how Poland wanted to fund the space race but it "can't into space").

In part 8, they'd probably just be some kind of hidden meme gods thing, I don't know.
>>
>>87329560
At some point I think all the parts will get some post-completion expansions.

>>87329636
Maybe as an emblem on the boarders?

The Old Country's ball representative should be pretty strange.

>it's an octagon

Okay so the corpse parts are
Super Rod
Skull
Organs (Liver is found by Haddock)
Right eye (Bioncle)
Left Eye ????
Skull (Tulio)
Rib Cage (Paris)
Left Leg (Goofy kills Spongebob with it)
Right Leg (Bug's possession, the Wizard steals it)
One arm is at the bottom of the pit
Heart (in rio)

What I can't seem to find is where the other arm or the other eye comes into play, I'm reading off the dock. I also recommend Pym getting the Rib corpse part so he can finally get his stand.
>>
>>87330889
It was suggested that Pym gets his Stand from one of the jawbreakers given as prize at the end of the US stage, and he develops a new ability after acquiring a corpse part.
I have no idea about where are the left eye and the other leg, several parts were already collected by the bortherhood before the start of part 7.
>>
>>87330889
We could just say that Nobody had those long before the race began.

>The heart is in Rio
Is this a reference to that time GTA hid a literal beating heart on the Cristo Redentor as a easter egg?
>>
Also, didn't we say that Nobody is currently fused (or has, at least, touched) with the heart, and that was the reason he has a hole where his heart would be.
>>
>>87330889
>>87331608
So maybe the other arm is in Rio.

We also have a couple more undecided locations beyond Rio before they go into space.

Salad Fingers was suggested as a corpse part guard, but wouldn't he work better in part 8?

Then again, I recall he had a location bound stand.
>>
>>87333900
Who is Salad Fingers?

It's an old web cartoon from newgrounds about an insane guy.

During Gatlocke's raid on the refugee town, I'd like for him to drop the "THIS EFFORT! IS NO LONGER! PROFITABLE!" line before retreating with whatever IG hover bike droids he has left.

Yes, I no longer have any desire to be awake tonight. Final bump from me before bed.

We're over 400 posts, so if there's anything to be reviewed I guess that'll be happening at some point now.
