It's a fun read. Certainly not the pinnacle of fanfiction, but despite the flaws I enjoyed it.

It isn't exclusively focused on Blake and Yang--just about everybody has some sort of role to play--but naturally, it's the main focus. And, this being Bumblebee, it's the gayest thing since gay came to gay town. So if you don't like that, stay away.

I remember reading some sorta comfy White Rose University AU thing. It was really nothing special writing wise, a bit shit to be honest, but the mental images when applied to the show were, as I said, sorta comfy, so I continued.

CyberConnect2 is amazing but they over exaggerate power levels a lot. If CC2 made a RWBY game you'd see Ruby destroying mountains with her silver eyes, Weiss being Sasuke and using her summoning like susanoo, Blake somehow using genjutsu and Yang leveling entire forest with a punch.

While it was touching to see Jaune add part of Pyrrha's armor to reinforce his shield and sword, it's not enough for me. I need a true Jaune angst moment. He looks too fine to me. Does Jaune's new armor bother anyone else? Why would you put the extra armor on the side that's protected by the shield? Shields are heavy as fuck and you have to take a lot of impact on that arm, the last thing you want to do is add more pointless weight.
Better to have the extra armor on the side that actually needs the protection, because you're sticking that arm out to stab people and shit. It's the exact opposite of what they did back when they actually needed armor to not die, you know, like we're supposed to believe is the case in this setting.

They might not be giving a fuck about Emerald and Mercury's models because they have some updated models planned for later in the show. Assuming these two stay alive for the volume I don't imagine they wont be getting some form of an outfit update to reflect their prolonged position on the show. Merc especially looks too plain in design and color while Emerald needs more shades and trim on her outfit to match the other characters around her.

Right now they're byproducts of being introduced in Vol.2 but never getting their models updated to Vol.3 and Vol.4 specs. If they somehow survive(Unlikely as it seems at this point really), Expect them to be getting new digs next volume or as part of some dramatic shift around their characterizations this volume sometime near the finale.
