If the writers were trying to be accurate, they'd have to leave Jax in the ship every time they travel anywhere earlier than the 1960's and Firestorm would be redundant.

The Nazis accepted black people into their ranks. there were tons of black people in Germany at the time and it wouldn't have been too unusual to see a black soldier in the German ranks during that time. Hitler didn't really have any problem with black people as long as they weren't mixing genes with the """""Aryan""""" race. The Nazi ideology was hypocritical anyways. The guy that Stein went undercover as was married to a Jewish woman and was also openly gay but he had such a great voice that Goering himself refused to allow him or his family to be arrested.
