The petition was very recent. Also it's worth noting that the guy in charge of the gaming division over at Marvel during that time has 'stepped down' and there's a new guy in charge. Hense why Marvel's now selling game rights to their characters again. Scarlet Witch - Have her have the power and hp of phoenix and maybe some spells that cause status ailments. She would be a good support character for setting up combos. I could picture them giving her a lvl 5 that zooms into her face saying "no more ....something"

Vision - his ability to change his density could be quite interesting to dodge attacks and to be a heavy hitter. Plus he could be ranged as well with his forehead beam.

Namor - Uses his trident, can fly, super strength, I'm sure they could make a interesting moveset for him. His banter starting a match would be funny since he's a asshole

Blackpanther - I guess he would be similar to Wolverine but he would also have a bit of range because of his vibranium daggers.

Mimic- have him be a mish-mash of abilities from Cyclops, Wolverine, Iceman and Colossus. Cyclops' optic blast, Iceman's ice beam, Wolverine's drill claw, Colossus' shoulder charge. His regular supers are Magnetic Shockwave and Super Armor, his 3rd level is to use the normal super of whoever his opponent is.

Blink- high speed and agility, she can teleport herself and even her opponents all around the scree, so she's kind of a zoning/trap laying character. In the hands of a pro she'd be almost untouchable.

Absorbing Man- give him a basic set of striking and grappling moves while his special moves are to turn into various materials that alter his stats. Stone increases his strength and makes his moves hit harder, metal make shim more resistant to damage and knock back, energy form makes him faster and adds more stunning power to his attacks. His normal supers involve him copying Cap's shield to become temporarily invulnerable, Thor's hammer to gain increased speed and added lightning powers, and his 3rd tier super is to copy the Hulk's powers.

Graviton- similar to Magneto, he can freely float around the screen, call up shields of debris that orbit him and that he can fling at opponents, unleash gravity shock waves to knock his enemy back or pull them forward, slam them to the ground, or hurl them skyward. His supers involve him unleashing a massive downward gravity wave, creating a gravity storm that pelts the enemy with debris, and his 3rd tier would be creating a singularity.

Well there's Hauzer from Red Earth who showed up in Capcom Fighting Jam. Also Hydron, though Hauzer is much more Monster Hunter like. If you're going to count the Darkstalkers as monsters though, then actually UMvC3 would have more "monsters" than sword users in the sense that you have the three Darkstalkers girls, along with Nemesis, Shuma-Gorath, and Firebrand, and that's ignoring Dormammu, Super Skrull, MODOK, and Sentinel who could be interpreted as monsters as well.

If it were a monster though, I'd assume it would be a Yian Kut Ku, since that's small enough to fit and iconic enough, even if more people would like other things like Rathalos or Tigrex.
