Gameplay wise, I'm hoping Dodge Roll and Guard are available from the start this time. Trying to do a Lv1 run on Critical mode in II without having a proper dodge for who knows how long was fucking dreadful.

Story wise, I hope Maleficent plays a significant role. Xehanort's group is the main threat but she can be a third party who messes with them and the heroes for her own goals.

Considering Jungle Book consistently was in production stage and summarily cut I think it's a safe bet they'll squeeze it into KH3 as a 'Classic' Disney world, likely culminating in a boss battle against Shere Kahn. I'm hoping the fight is more like Sabor from KH1 and less like whatever the fuck Scar's boss battle was in KH2.

For a world I personally want to see I want Agrabah in just for the 40 Thieves movie plot. They did a bastardized version of Return of Jafar, I'm sure they can whip up something interesting there. Especially with the Oracle, who grants anyone who uses it one answer to their question, whatever it may be.

Star Wars and Marvel Comics represented by items and cameos rather than full size worlds. Find Captain America's shield for Goofy, find a keychain that makes the Keyblade look like a lightsaber, a HYDRA grunt in a crowd, Old Luke Skywalker on a cliff in an unrelated world and just goes "..." when you try to talk to him. That kinda thing.

An arena world that isn't Olympus Colosseum again.

Disney characters find some way to follow you to the final battle, allowing them to actually be relevant. Even if they literally just show up to inform you that they believe in you at a critical moment.
Expectations:

Frozen. Frozen everywhere.

2 hours worth of bullshit scavenger hunts and boring ass dialog before you get to the fun part of the game.

At least Agrabah and Olympus Coliseum both have one more story left to squeeze out of them exclusively. Halloween Town has overstayed its welcome since KH1 blew their load on that story already. KH2's version of the world felt extraordinarily unnecessary outside of showing the players Christmas Town, but even then it kept the players from going through the Christmas craze of the town since it already happened between KH1 and KH2. That alone felt like a massive waste of potential.

For Olympus Coliseum we haven't reached Hades attempt at a coup of the Olympian gods. Seeing Mt. Olympus in the screens for the KH3 teasers gives me the impression that's exactly the direction we're going for this third iteration, but that's fine. The Hercules storyline has been fairly solid and covers new locations each iteration, even in BBS for how limited Thebes was it still was different and showcased gawky Herc before his True Hero days.

Agrabah still has one story left in its legacy and it's a pretty great one.

I'm personally hoping the world integration to the KH overall storyline goes back towards being closer to KH1's treatment, where some worlds do have an effect on the overall storyline like how the storyline tied around the Princesses of Heart. Having the Disney Council of Villains return (with new characters even) would be absolutely fantastic too.

It's more a matter of whether she comes back as a supporting protagonist, or shows up, beats up both Sora and Riku at the same time and then goes on to became the main protagonist who solos Xehanort and company while the others become her cheerleaders, as that other guy is claiming.

Also I think the idea is that she wasn't being manipulated by Xehanort like Terra and Ven were. He just kind of said "Meh, maybe she can be used as a backup" in regards to her. If I recall, it was due to all of their efforts that Xehanort was stopped, and she only defeated Terranort because he had Terra inside of him to hold him back. And even then she made a mistake as big as anything Terra or Ven did.

Bill turns up using this as an opportunity to place suspicion on Ford setting him up as a villian with Bill asking for Ford to be returned to him. Leads to a fight with Ford, truth comes out, fight with Bill.
