Oban Star Racers is probably the only good racing show there's been, and the Earth team still gets their asses kicked most of the time.

You fucking what? The podracing sequence displays some of the finest directorial effort George put into the prequels. There's almost no dialogue, (none I think from Anakin himself) yet literally every shot of the controls in Anakin's cockpit perfectly conveys exactly what's happening and what Anakin is experiencing: the minute-to-minute struggle of keeping the podracer from exploding mid-race.

Say what you will about everything else but the Podracing sequence is easily one of the best action scenes and by far the best use of CGI in the prequels.

Bullseye Navoir. He had a fast and agile machine. A true expert's choice. Neva Kee also has a pretty sweet racer. I also like Boles Roor just because it's basically a podracer version of a muscle car: Very fast in a straight line, but can't turn for crap.

It's also a conceptually brilliant exhibition of what Lucas is best at which is homaging classic movies and ideas with a Sci-Fi twist.

I mean it's literally the chariot race from Ben-Hur but instead of horses the chariots are strapped to absurd high-power engines that reach insane speeds.

That's fucking awesome.
