I know what you're saying, "Everyone knows this show." But the funny thing is, whenever I bring it up to others in nostalgia conversations, most of them say they've never heard of it.

I'd guess it was because only hardcore Christian kids watched it and not many others. Yet my parents aren't very religious, and they bought these videos for me anyway, for whatever reason

Back when it was airing, it seemed awfully corny to me. It might just be me because I had to babysit someone's kid and needed to watch over him. That show had a moral-at-the-end-of-the-show kind of format, so my first impression of it was how it was intended for younger kids.
Not sure if it was actually enjoyable and I was being a prickly, edgy teenager at the time, but there you go.
