Just found out about Silk the other day and was thinking of getting into the series. Man, this issue was NOT anything like what I thought it might be from what I've read so far.

Is the series normally like this? Or was this just a special dip into disjointed weirdness?

Also, that must have been one WEIRD therapy session.

The more I think about it the more bizarre this scenario gets. As spider-power-lady Silk really should have been easily crushing the ash knights or whatever the fuck they were. I mean, these are dudes that apparently fight on an equal level with a 40+ year old Korean lady?

I think it's more that they are an unending mass of shadow creatures with swords and pole arms.
Cindy is neither trained with weapons nor does she have good reach against them and blades everywhere make web slinging a bit useless, I think.
Her mother has been fighting for years, on the other hand.

It's not so much the case with Tana Ford, but Stacey Lee seemed to like showing off Silk's T&A and putting her in occasional bondage.

Obviously, I don't want to see Slott-level overt fetishism return, but I like the idea of these background sexy overtones being a recurring part of Silk's character. Usually, heroes and heroines come off as either completely sexless or in-your-face sexualized; it would be nice to see one kind of toeing the line in the middle.
