Batman and Robin is a very underrated movie and I will defend it to the death.

People were buttmad that Batman became "stupid and cheesy", when in reality it was a wonderful callback to the more lighthearted and innocent Adam West era. If you watch it as a cheesy superhero action-comedy (and not "muh I am vengeance, I am the night!") it becomes a fun movie that plays the cliches to it's advantage.

We know it's campy on purpose. It's still bad. Just because a movie tries to be silly doesn't mean it did it well.

Well, apparenyly we have different opinions. Angst Robin and Batgirl are the worst parts of the movie and drag it down acting wise (and I get it, they totally can ruin the movie for some) but they are played mostly serious. On the other hand, Freeze and Ivy are great cheesy campy assholes. Batman is middle ground. It's a mixed bag, but in my eyes good outshines the bad.
