Incorrect. There was also the other Thor, the one with the beard, who took up the mantle on Earth so the real Thor could go back to Asgard. When the real Thor came back, beard-Thor changed to Thunderstrike and used a mace that gave him basically the same powers.

Also originally Donald Blake was just wielding the power of Thor but then they retconned that to be actual Thor put into a mortal life to teach him some lessons or some shit. Then later on they decided that Donald Blake was an actual person that amnesia-Thor got put into and he showed up as a separate being from Thor.

Beta Ray Bill was when they separated Thor from the Donald Blake persona. Since Bill had proven his worthiness but hadn't actually killed Thor, Thor got to keep Mjolnir but Odin gave Bill his own hammer and moved the "transforms into a normal by tapping the hammer on the ground" enchantment to Bill's hammer so he could finally get laid. Since that particular enchantment was no longer on Mjolnir, Thor stopped turning into Donald Blake but Don showed up again later on.

Also there was that frog Thor who picked up a splinter of wood from Mjolnir's handle and accidentally tapped it on the ground and had wacky adventures with other super-pets. And several other ties that other people wielded Mjolnir for short periods without turning into Thor (Captain America, for instance, was the first person other than Thor to use it and didn't transform but did get way stronger).

But really, Thor has always been Thor. Eric "Thunderstrike" Masterson was just impersonating him the same way Jane is doing now.
