I like to cross-over universes for stories to play out when I run on the trail. Right now working with a universe combining Ghoul School, Witcher series, School for Vampires, Van Helsing and a bit of personal touches (making the rules of the universe, self inserting somewhat) to make my runs more immersive and less challenging. What I care about is the characters, not profit, so I'd encourage you to explore your own ideas for a reboot or reimagining or whatever. You mentioned having a different view of the overall direction as compared to what you've seen from my work, and that's cool. I'm not sure if you see more value in attempting to merge the best of both ideas into a single pitch or keeping them as two separate entities and presenting them as independent options for the WB guys to choose between. But either way, I'd be happy to take your treatment to Cali with me when I visit in 2017 if you wanted. Or if it's just a fun thought experiment then go nuts with that, the more the merrier.

And sorry to hear about your writer's block. I could suggest some techniques that help me, but it's pretty common ideas that you could google easily enough. I guess my biggest suggestion would be to try switching to a pen and paper for a while just for the raw brainstorming phase.
