Wally, listen to me! There are several spheres in this room. Within each sphere there is a portal to a different memory. To find holly, you must gather the dark emotions found within each memory, and bring it to me...A 90s Endtown RPG/platformer would be kickass.

The whole implication here is that the ship has converted itself to run off of bad vibes, negative emotions. Every ditto reality we've seen so far has been pain, suffering, and death. Holly's will be no different.

No, my bet is that the AI forced her to see things that would get the most emotions out of her. First the flashback alongside Wally and co (including the flying kiss in the city), and then after the flashback's done, show her recent events taken from Wally's memories.
Once they find her, much like how Kirbie and Chick were mourning the fake Wally's death, they will find Holly witnessing some shocking event, probably the wasteland kiss. And things will get awkward.

I kind of hate that I caught up to the comic after not reading it for a month or two, it's torture waiting to see what happens.
Finally binged the shit. I thought it was going to be a story about astronauts, but this was okay too.

Oh God, this is some furry levels of copyright understanding here. You can't copyright characters, you can TRADEMARK them yes. You can copyright a work but never ever you can copyright characters you dolts.
You furfags are fucking hilarious with character copyrights.
>>86987152
I heard he wanted the rights to his game rules and the publisher pulled out on him.
>>86989000
That's really the long and short of it.
>>86989000
As any smart man would, you dumb dolts. It doesn't mean that he will own Endtown based that he's using the Endtown license. The only way for him not to be screwed over by a greedy publisher is not to fully give them the rights for the system and anything that follows. If you fucking closely followed the trainwreck that was OGL and 3E fallout, WotC lost 90% of the monster shit for D&D because the idiots forgot to TRADEMARK them. Trademark being a key word here. Not copyright. Plagiarism and borrowing is another pair of beans and you can look up cases like Larry Potter to see how hard is to prove that shit in court.
This is a fucking dog eat dog world (in a literal sense, fucking furries), so a guy wanting to protect his ass from being screwed over is totally OK in my book. I don't really understand that dumb furry logic of WAH WAH THEY'RE STEALING MY CHARACTERS each time a furry artists gets what he doesn't want. I guess it's a common reaction for shut-ins with poor understanding of law.
I hope that clears shit up.
>All this tabletop game drama
Can someone explain it to me like I'm a retard?
>>86989243
Okay here's my post for law retards:
1) You make a game system
2) You secure the rights to the system under the respective parts - name goes under trademark, book under literary works, any tokens cards and way of playing with them by patents.
3) You want to use the game for a license and you enter a talk with the current copyright holder for the world/setting/characters
4) You own the mechanics of the system, while the license holders keep rights to the setting/characters under the respective copyrights (for books, comics etc.) and trademarks (names, creatures, characters).
5) You split the profits and print the works under a publisher who gets a cut from each work sold.
6) Meanwhile both the setting license holders and the system holders can do whatever the fuck they want with what they have.
Is it clear now?
>>86989243

Furries are the most obnoxious faggots around when it comes to art and their insistence of copyrighting characters is hilarious if not sad. They have zero understanding of how anything works and get whiny if their precious free of charge work is """""""""""""""""""stolen""""""""""""""""""" by posting it on an imageboard.
>>86989469
> Aaron toyed with the idea of making the RPG an official product, but can only go through if it was published by Jarlidium
So who exactly holds the trademark/copyright to Endtown? Aaron or Jarlidium? Because if Aaron puts his stuff on Gocomics and Jarlidium owns the copyright/trademark, he must have explict permission for that. If Aaron holds the trademark/copyright to Endtown (which I assume he does on the latter part being de facto Endtown's creator and sole artist/writer), unless he is getting bent over and royally fucked by publisher raw, should have total control and can use outlets other than Jarlidium for publishing anything different.
If Aaron allowed himself to get fucked over by the publisher it's his own problem because it seems so far that he's not even in full control of his own creations.

An unfortunate result of how incestuous the fandom has become. It's become less and less about media about anthropomorphic animals/exploring stories with them and has turned into a shitty RP/ERP circlejerk of twats like him with no talent other than paying people to draw his shitty fursona/OCs. There's also the irony of this sort of thing when they constantly draw porn characters they don't own, renamon/krystal/sonic characters/etc.
>>86993278
I looked it up. It's some generic white faggot fennec character. Honestly, this just makes me think that these people make this stuff up and devote their lives to it for some new level of autism.
I've noticed this trend more and more. I hope this fandom becomes less associated with idiots like these and more with interesting stories and media, as much as Sturgeon's Law seem to apply especially to it.
>>86993278
Actually a lot of media shifted from the Sci-Fi focus to issues like gay rights, slice of life etc. It started in the 90s with stuff like ASB and Circles and certainly followed the trend now. Gay-related issues fill the comics nowadays and Sci-Fi is on all time low except for silly comics sometimes.
This trend is not really uncommon outside of the fandom as well given that Sci-Fi nowadays have become the punchline of a bad joke.
As for the original characters - that's every damn fandom with drama queens and ballerinas from Narutards to Horsefuckers. Everyone wants a special important snowflake.

Who said anything about porn? All of his fat art that I know of were non-pornographic.
And yes I admit that fat art makes my dick diamonds. But one can get their kicks with a picture of a fully clothed fat chick not doing anything remotely pornographic.

>Sci-Fi nowadays have become the punchline of a bad joke
It's always been like that and there has never been a good reason, other than maybe how the stories become outdated as science marches on even though stuff like Gulliver's Travels is still considered a classic. Hell, they invented the term "speculative fiction" just to avoid using "Sci-Fi".
Fuck everything.

I'm a slow reader. I just finished the arc with Al and Gustine, for example. I really like this comic and hate that I let myself be put off for so long by the fact that some of the characters are "furry." I haven't enjoyed a comic this much in a really long time.

One thing I've learned is to never trust other people's opinions.
I didn't have a problem with furries since before I discovered 4chan because I was reading furry comics before that without even knowing what they were (didn't look into their forums), so when I saw all the "furries are teh evulz" memes I just went "whaaa...?".
Yet, I stayed away from Sabrina Online for the longest time because I kept hearing it was terrible. When I finally gave it a try I found out that I actually loved it (not that it's GREAT but it's good for me). Sadly that was about 3 years ago and the comic has recently ended, after 20 years.
Lesson learned: Don't trust a book by the shit they tell you about it, just read it.

*Don't JUDGE a book by the shit they tell you about it
You get the idea.

Dottie is so underrated, Top waifu material.
I know that it's not meant to be but when you think about it, Endtown DOES look like a fusecution story done with some allegory.
First, monsters started appearing randomly among the normal people. When more started to appear it was considered a contagious disease. Those who caught the disease conciously became notable monsters, those who caught it unconciously just became furries and had to go into hiding. The unaffected people took measures to avoid the disease and were indoctrinated into hating it. They fear catching the disease above everything, even though they see some people who caught it and didn't become monsters. It caused a world wide war. Those unaffected who are curious can get the disease without becoming monsters if they educate themselves first, or can be forced by the furries into becoming like them. Those who were affected and can't deal with being furries monsters too. Some seemingly unaffected people live among furries without problem, though they can turn into either furries or monsters randomly.
No wonder people are getting the wrong idea.

*Those who were affected and can't deal with being furries BECOME monsters too.
Dammit.
>>87003807
Human to mutated relationships are getting very shakey now with Jacob Jackrabbit's position. Will probably start insulting or attacking them for not becoming like them, even though that's beyond their control.

I guess it is, but not necessarily in purpose. The trope seems old at this point. One thing to note is that Aaron didn't even know about furries until three months into working on the comic. He just had a weird idea for a serious sci-fi comic with cartoon animals. That's more or less how that fandom started. He basically invented furries all over again.

Anon, are you old enough to be using this site? If you were, you'd know why everyone hates furries.
>>87010287
They're probably -too old- for this site.
When you finally leave your 20s bullshit like people and their fursonas just don't bother you anymore.
I'd rather just let them be to be retarded in their little bubble. Not hurting me or anyone else as far as I can see.
>>87010983
This. I found about them when I was 15 but stopped giving a shit after I turned 19 or so (22 right now). Only care if they actually get in my way.
