Gumball is by and far my favorite currently running show but Richard really is the weak link and I'm glad the writers are getting aware of it.

While it will most likely end in some crummy "He has a good heart and that's what counts" I hope they use it as a means to finally rewrite Richard entirely, similarly to what they did with Gumball.

So we know Ben frenchman is leaving after season 6, but will the show really end with him? After all, it's CN's most popular show on the international market, and one of the most popular in the home market, so ending it doesn't seems likely.

He's fine as he is now. As a manchild dad, he's actually pretty tame. He seems like he was made by someone who knew a couple of adult boys, rather than someone who just copied Homer Simpson for the upteenth time until the color faded out. Personally, I think that makes him unique, as strange as that sounds. While both of them have the mom's body and dad's head shape, Nicole has her father's short whiskers whereas Gumball has his grandmother's and their mouths is a combination of both.
