I hope season 2 is better than season 1, didn't really care for season 1 much.

I'm not going to write a really long thing on why, but basically while the visuals were great, the story and characters were kind of all over the place, and all the time spent introducing new things, that will likely be forgotten by the writers or are already unimportant to the story, was a bit of a waste when you only have a dozen or so episodes.

Maybe the original voltron suffered from those sorts of problems, I haven't seen it since I was a kid and my kid brain wasn't going to notice nuanced plot deficiencies (except that Sven CLEARLY died but muh Murican censorship).

Anyway, I hope season 2 will be good.

I'm paranoid they'll bring him back, only to quickly turn him into a Robeast and kill him off. At the same time, the writers have said they're doing their own thing, separate from how things played out in the original Voltron, so maybe he won't.

I'm actually a bit surprised by the number of people I see online who say they want Sendak to have a redemption arc. I think it could be an interesting development, and I'd enjoy it, but I'm not sure how likely it is to actually happen.

The crowd at the panel actually looked a lot like the crowd on the show floor. The people sitting directly around me were almost all male, actually, but I wasn't up at the front with the people who'd gotten there earliest. But nobody asked any rude shipping questions while I was around (I ducked out halfway through the Q&A at the end), so that was fine.

I was actually surprised there wasn't any horrible fangirl screaming, but it helped that the episode they showed didn't include Shiro or Keith at all. Possibly a calculated move on their part.
