I've watched it since the beginning but this season just feels kinda off in a less predictable way. As in, I'm fine with the change in setting, I expecting that to feel different and I actually like it, but it seems like the jokes are kind of obnoxious now and the writing seems weird. Not to mention the occasional off animation where the characters don't even look at each other right, or the colors/lines are weird on accident.

I'll still continue to watch it though, there's like 20 more episodes and that ends the whole thing, so why not? Still enjoying them anyway.

Depression isn't as easy to gauge as everyone thinks. Most people think it's just having a bad day but it's more like "why even get up? Why take a shower or take care of myself? I've never considered myself one to care about 'shipping', but season 1 & 2 of RS really did exude that there were some kind of unrequited feelings from Rigby about Mordecai. I'm disappointed that that angle was never really explored. Having said that, I think that Eileen ended up becoming one of the better parts of the show as a whole in later seasons (which you can take either way as saying more about Eileen or the general quality of RS).

The way I see it, Rigby probably spent the entire time Mordo was at college crashing in Mordo's room and playing video games with no other social contact. It's not so much that Rigby was harboring some secret homolust for Mordecai as Mordecai was the only person he felt any kind of connection and genuine affection for, so he was totally emotionally fixated on him.

He's fine with the Margaret thing when it looks like Mordo doesn't have a chance, then when Mordo actually makes a move he freaks out and tries to sabotage it. When that doesn't work, you can actually see the moment he completely gives up and spends several episodes being grouchy and monotone and hating everyone, particularly Eileen.

I think one of the most positive changes Rigby goes through over the course of the show is that he actually gets closer to the other guys at the park and Eileen, and starts to have a life that doesn't just center around Mordecai.
